Padawan Pack Mission: Pack Runners

Nico Ike Qarmast

The Wayward of Clan Qarmast
Mission Name: Pack Running
Mission Location: Coruscant
Mission Difficulty: Easy
Mission Objective: Padawan pack investigate the works
Mission Slots: 2-4 padawans
@[member="Olaf Freesa"] @[member="Vexander Graves"] @[member="Vulpesen"]

The Works on Coruscant were... dark, damp and dingy with nothing important beyond everything. Stuff few cared for but everyone wanted safe, that everyone used. Nico had signed on with the rest of the padawan pack, or was she leading it? She didn't really know and it didn't matter they had a purpose... See if anything was wrong, help, investigate or fight problems. Perhaps some gang had taken up residence she didn't know but the tight training garbs let her breathe just enough to sit in the speeder. A training lightsaber on her hip and hair in some braids, most left long. Her cousin had told her to take what missions she could find and you didn't really argue with a jedi master family or no. The post life day festivities may have brought revelers to the forefront having parties or passing out.

Padawan Pack... the history of such team was not a bright one, but recently it was quite common for the Order to assign apprentices without their masters to missions... usually the idea behind them was to allow the growth of each one of learners without guidance of their respective instructors and mentors. The missions were not extremely hard but were handpicked to test their skills.

Based on the mission description the team was scheduled to arrive in Coruscant, the capital world of the Galactic Republic... a place of great buildings and a lot of transit. Vex has never been there and the idea to get there was interesting. Seeing the amount of experience he would get in the ways of the force, he willingly enrolled to the "Padawan Pack" after gaining enough confidence in his own skills and training... this was definetely not his first mission as a jedi, but this was the first time without a Knight or a Master to guide him properly.

The young man stood there with his darkbrown robes, a training saber in his utility belt and his S-6A blaster in a multipurpose shoulder holsters that allowed him to conceal it below his robes. Not really normal but in the long run it would help depending the situation... true, it was not usual for a Padawan to have it since he was expected to use his lightsaber, but he was not an usual jedi. Finally his padawan braid was long enough for everyone to notice it, it was a tradition within the Order and now he was proud to use it as a silent devotion to their cause.

Vexander, looking at his peers, quickly evaluated them... he didn't actually knew them but they seemed capable enough, otherwise they wouldn't be in the Order, otherwise they wouldn't be Jedi. After looking at all of them without a defined expression in his face, he just waited for everyone to gather for the specific briefing about the situation and what they had to do, as always; he just remained there without saying a word.

@[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] @Olaf Freesa @Vulpesen

Vulpesen looked around hid compatriots, wondering what he would learn of them on this mission. He'd simply signed up without any idea what he was getting into. Some people might find that to be foolish, but to Vulpesen, it was normal and all part of what made life interesting. As he looked at the other's he realized how differently he realized how differently he was dressed. While they were wearing robes, he was in his usual black jacket and a pair of tough pants. He had nothing against robes, he just preferred his normal attire. Still, his padawan braid marked him for what he was and it was something he held in common with them at a glance.
At his hip, Vulpesen had his newest training saber, a replacement after he used his last one of blow up the head of a hssiss on Cato Neimodia. In his jacket, he enjoyed the familiar weight his stygium crystal of his DL-18 blaster. Though archaic, the pistol was one of the few things he had from his time after an adventurer after his vibrosword was blasted by Velok. What is it with me and blowing up my blades? He wondered as the thought finally occurred to him. Realizing that speaking this aloud would get no results other than stange looks, he asked a different question. "So what's the actual mission we'll be doing here?"

Eeli stood amongst the other padawans with a hidden excitement. True, she'd been on other missions before, but they were with masters. That's not to say she hadn't been left to complete tasks on her own, it's just that generally there was someone with a definitive purpose and leadership that ran the mission. 'How will this work out?' she thought to herself. 'At least I'm not the only one not in a robe' she noted as she glanced at @[member="Vulpesen"]. Her sleeveless jacket hood combination was the perfect blend for a Coruscant night. She had modified Jedi boots on, into which her pants were neatly tucked. Her Lightsaber hung from her thigh, an unusual position, but somehow more ergonomic for her. Vulpesen breaks the silence and questions the purpose of everyone being down here in The Works in the first place. Eeli looked at the other faces, none of them seemed to know. She stepped forward:

"Before we set off Master @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] gave me a datapad explaining the situation, and our role. If you will permit me I'll give a quick brief then transmit the official data to your datapads" said Eeli in earnest. The others nodded in ascension; there was no doubt that there was a tense air surrounding the group.

"Our pack mission is to observe a criminal gang known as the 'Bloodcutters'. They're notorious death stick dealers, however, in recent years, they've started to grow in scale. They accumulated funds over a period of time and then employed those funds into hiring slicers, who later started hacking the malfunctioning droids in the area. Now these droids act as their perimeter defense, not only against Cthon attacks, but also investigatory forces, such as CorSec, or even other Jedi. They have now started launching attacks against other gangs in The Works. If we let them run riot it's likely the conflicts will escalate. This will only increase the crime rate and disorder in the area, making it a breeding ground for illegal activity. However, our primary objective is to gather data on the gang itself, their attack patterns, their targets, and, if possible, ranking members. However, if we feel justified, we are to intervene when necessary, but only when the pack is absolute in doing so. We're here for reconnaissance mainly, but if we need to, we'll have to involve ourselves directly."

Eeli pauses and lets the objectives sink in. 'If we can avoid combat or any serious mishaps we should be okay, but I have a feeling we'll have to step in eventually.' she thinks to herself. She forces a smile after the pause: "I'm Padawan Eeli Surik, student of Joshua Dragonsflame. My skills are in tactics, strategy, dueling, and agility. I'm a gifted Force Sense user, with some skill in battle meditation. I can't use telekinetics, to which I apologize for in advance. In balance I trained harshly with Force Speed to become an evasion specialist. I hope we all get along and achieve our goals, both personal and professional." Her smile eases the people around her, and makes her feel a little better too.

@[member="Vexander Graves"] @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"]

Vulpesen listened to the briefing. Taking down crime rings, just like the good ol' days. Once again he was reminded of his past, but this time he was different, he was stronger in the force as well as more experienced in the ways of the jedi. "Well then, I believe we should find us a starting point to begin the investigation. By the way, Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso student of Daella Apparine, at your service. I work well with tactics, various uses of the force, and unconventional fighting. I'm not the best, but I can hold my own with a blaster and blade." Vulpesen was aware of the length of his name and his title didn't help, but he always did enjoy giving the full introduction. Especially since he had several friends who couldn't even get past his first name. As the thoughts occurred to him, he decided to take it easy on his fellow padawans and not waste their time with tongue twisters. "Call me Vulps for short." He had mixed feelings for the introductions. On the professional side, it would let him assess situations more easily with knowing who he was dealing with. On the personal level, he found himself a bit sad that he would be unable to learn through experience. For him, that was all part of the fun.

@[member="Vexander Graves"] @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] @[member="Eeli Surik"]

"Nice to meet you... Vulps" said Eeli shyly, trying out the shorthand for the first time and feeling a little awkward. "I think the best place to start our investigation is to simply wander into the 'Bloodcutter' district and see what happens, chances are we'll be approached to buy death sticks before long, once we're approached we can begin asking our own questions. Regrettably my mind trick abilities are limited in scope, if anyone else has more experience or talent in the area then I suggest that they take the lead in regards to dealing with anyone trying to squeeze credits out of us. I doubt we'll be attacked out-right, they're more interested in profit over bloodshed. However, I would suggest we split into two groups, with the second group following a discreet distance behind to provide back-up. Given that me and Vulps aren't in robes, I think we should take point. The people we'll be encountering might not be all there in the head, but that's no reason to be overly bold."

The Wayward of Clan Qarmast
Nico perked her head up and then read the datapad as she raised an eyebrow. Not at the information but at the one behind it. CorSec had no authority here it was Corellian security, why would they who are in Omega Protectorate space be coming out here to investigate Coruscant? It was a question that brought a pursed lip and frown for a brief moment but never the less she listened to the others speal. Taking in the first man @[member="Vexander Graves"] with his goatee and mustache, he had the look of a soldier or former but not the stance of a jedi. Her eyes flicked over letting the rest of the information come about the droids while the other male with them drew her attention. @[member="Vulpesen"] was very much professional looking or maybe it was just because she looked basic while taking in the other female. Her lack of traditional robes meaning less but she had provided the information. Did she know it had some errors?

Her eyes still remained on @[member="Eeli Surik"] before finally speaking as she brushed aside some of the braids over her ear the longest on her padawan braid, the rest for decoration and out of boredom. The small drumming of her fingers on her chin as a smile came. "I am Nico, former bladesister of the mandalorians, younger cousin of master Ike and well I have certain skills from my time in the military, certain ones I can use here if we need them but mostly I am talented in energy applications of the force."

The information in the datapad arrived just as expected. The young man looked at the information and analysed as quickly as possible... He knew that he had to bring his sniper along with him... the scope would be an excellent addition for the recon and intel gathering. It seemed that he had to rely on his Force senses and core powers to carry on with the mission.

Caressing his beard while reading the information, the corellian got to the conclusion that perhaps, the Bloodcutters were a small criminal syndicate fighting their way up to the "big leagues" while trying to stick to the low profile as a "gang"... the addition of CorSec to the investigation while they were on Coruscant was probably an indication pointing towards the sphere of influence that they were spreading. Still, at the moment it was just a theory that he came up with based on what they had... which was practically nothing... that is why they were in Coruscant afterall, to learn more and gather facts about the way they were handling themselves.

Afterwards, the whole team began to introduce themselves and to explain their abilities and expertises. Based on what they were saying, each one of those Padawans were more experienced in the ways of the Force than Vex was, still, he was a resourceful man had other skills that could come in handy. When his turn arrived, the young man just limited himself to the amount of interaction he was used to since his days in the Republic Military as a Sniper: "I am Vexander Graves and I am learning under Master Syn... I joined the Order not to long ago and my skills rely mostly on lightsaber combat and some core Force Powers along with some marksmanship from previous military training. Looking forward to see all of you in action" Said the man without changing his facial expresions. not that he didn't feel anything at all but because the nature of the mission. "On regards of the next course of action, I can agree with what Eeli just said, however, if they know Jedi are looking for them then they are not likely to approach us unless they are really desperate to sell something..." his lack of interaction was still something he had to hone but at least he was improving... or so he thought. "...I think that we could just get a couple of cloaks and cover the robes or just go buy some clothing from a store on our way to the district..."

@[member="Eeli Surik"] @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] @[member="Vulpesen"] @[member="Olaf Freesa"]

Eeli realized that they all picked up on CorSec too. 'It is strange' she thought to herself, 'why would CorSec be all the way out here? Still, it's nothing to brood on for now.' She looked at Vex, thankful that they were lucky enough to have a trained sniper with them. In fact, it seemed like half of the group had previous military experience, which would only work in their favour. 'And a mandalorian at that' mused Eeli, feeling better about the mission now everyone had laid bare their strengths and personalities. Eeli looked over Nico, noting a fit physique and keen eyes; a combination much admired.

"You're right, whilst I think they'll be keen to sell anything to anyone at this point, given their relative raise to power, it won't hurt for us to be cautious. I need something a little longer to cover my hilt anyway" said Eeli as she glanced down at her Lightsaber strapped to her thigh. Giving a few taps to her datapad Eeli located the nearest clothes store. Given the area it wasn't surprising that a few credits could go a long way. "If we turn back on our selves we can exit this area, then a quick walk from that corner is a clothes store... Vulps, whilst we're wandering around the store, could you have a chat with the owner and see what you can dig up? I think he'll be up for a chat so long as he's convinced we're buying." Eeli looked Vulps up and down again. His slightly more rugged look gave him a smuggler vibe, someone that understood the streets. In asking him to converse with the store owner it was more likely he would let something loose. It was a 50/50 chance at least, but she'd rather not use herself or Nico as female bait. 'I doubt Nico would take very kindly to a leering old alien anyway...' she mused to herself with a quiet smile.

As the pack began walking Eeli's mind drifted to CorSec's involvement in this. 'Would they really be here to quell a threat? Why isn't Coruscant's own personnel dealing with this? Perhaps it could be more political than initially thought, they might even be trying to take back a native criminal, rather than leaving them to rot on Coruscant. If that's the case, then this whole thing could get messy. For all we know, they might think that we're racing them to the finish line; if that's the case, then things will get ugly quickly' thought Eeli to herself as she mentally cringed. 'I just hope we don't end up attacking one another, or worse, the BloodCutters working in tandem with the CorSec forces...'

@Nico Minuro Ike @Vulpesen @[member="Vexander Graves"]

Though Vulpesen understood the confusion of the CorSec involvement, he decided to disregard that for now. If they met, he would handle it. "I can have someone carry my lightsaber for me while doing negotiations. It's only a trainer and melee weapons tend to explode when I use them. Besides, I've got a blaster with me at all times." Despite @[member="Eeli Surik"]'s doubts Vulpesen was completely confident that he could do it. After all, no one knows merchants like other merchants.

"How many of us have real lightsabers incase things get difficult." As a jedi, he didn't want to think of the possibility of lethal force, but as a street rat, he decided that he didn't want to get his friends or himself killed because he asked the wrong person to cover their backs. "But, to keep things from getting difficult, I have a few credits. We can buy things to keep things from getting suspicious, and we can bribe him if it gets a bit touchy." He was enjoying this clothing store plan. Granted he would never trade out his jacket or boots, but he seemed to get himself torn up and filthy on missions. Perhaps he did need new clothes before he looked into his drawer and found only scraps of clothes. "Oh, one last thing. What's our cover?" In his chat, he would likely be asked what he was doing there. Curiosity is often rewarded with more curiosity on both sides.

@[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] @[member="Vexander Graves"]

Eeli flashed a smile @[member="Vulpesen"] : "Sure thing, I don't mind holding onto it... It won't blow up because you're not touching it, right?" she said jokingly. "I have a real Lightsaber. To be frank, given that I can't use telekenitics but rather speed and martial skills, it would probably be better if I cover initially. Hopefully things won't go sour immediately, I'll be sure to maintain Force Sense at all times, that way we'll get an idea of intention rather than immediate action" says Eeli as she pats her Lightsaber out of habit.

Vulps second question threw Eeli slightly, "Come on Vulps, surely someone like you already has a second identity or two?" she said whilst winking at him. "Given your past as a merchant I'd say just role with that and call us your assistants, once the store owner realizes your the one in charge - and subsequently the one with the credits - he'll quickly pour his attention into you" she said whilst smiling.

The pack started making their way to the store, after turning back on themselves and taking a right after the corner. The Works was a unique place. A strange mix of durasteel and grime was the best way to describe it. The path they were on was somewhat discreet, with the pack only occasionally having to side-step or divide the group to get around other travelers. The Works was generally a warm environment; generators seemed to be on every floor with no heat-sheilding whatsoever (it was likely stolen and then sold), so the heat just streamed out of them. Every now and then the pack was approached by an aggressive host or hostess attempted to seduce them into coming to their cantina, or establishment of the night. Generally they backed off after a serious look was sent their way, but every now and then a few credits was required for some peace and quiet.

Nico continued to listen to them while she sat there waiting and listened to the game plan. Her voice came out at the mention of non training sabers and she did have one with a training saber, just not always something to use unless needed. "I have one." Then they were going towards the store while she slid the hilt into a pocket letting removing it from sight while they walked. Her arms crossing while she flicked her eyes back and forth. The ones trying to attract them to their cantinas or establishments. The path towards the store to observe kept her on the ready to do as needed, if they were attacked she was prepared or if they needed to scatter and hide to observe.

Vulpesen took his saber from his hip and handed it to @[member="Eeli Surik"]. "Hopefully not." As he walked to the store entrance he kept wary of his surroundings. This was a rough place and he was under no inclination to get himself into a firefight this early in the mission. He remembered his padawan braid and tucker it into his shirt, keeping the visible tendril behind his ear as to hide it from sight. "Just make sure to remember the alias." Vulpesen was already envisioning the conversation and looking into every possibility to think of responses. It was a good thing he enjoyed conversation, and around these parts it was likely that the shop owner would have knowledge over how to get in contact with the Bloodcutters.

As for the cantina owners who demanded credits, Vulpesen took the lead in getting out of wasting too many credits. Amarans were master hagglers and living his life on their planet allowed him to learn several tricks for lowering prices to sometimes incredibly minute amounts. Though he rarely showed it now, he'd been told many times of his intense gaze and used this to their advantage to making the weaker willed hosts back off.

As they finally reached their destination, Vulpesen turned to his compatriots. "I think most of you should stay outside. A group of people causes attention which is something we don't need at all. As Eeli said, I and her are the ones dressed as civilians, so it would make sense if were were to go in while y'all stay out and watch for any trouble on the outside. Even as he spoke, Vulpesen kept out of view of the window and cast glances around their surroundings, looking for anyone who might notice their presence.

@Vulpesen @Nico Minuro Ike @Vexander Graves

Eeli smiled, "don't worry, I'll make sure to pick up something that is of appropriate length". With that Eeli and Vulps headed inside. Eeli noted that immediately Vulps' gait changed from a standard walk to a cocky, swaggering slide across the room to the counter. Eeli peeled off to the left and immediately started scouting for appropriate gear, trying to not inhale often given the dustiness and overall scent of the store. 'Guh, we'll be smelling of this place for miles' she thought to herself. Eeli allowed herself a quick glance in Vulp's direction, things seemed to going well; 'in fact they seem to be having a good time over there' she mused.

Thankfully Eeli found some appropriate gear, and even a knee-length cloak for herself. Giving the conversation a few more minutes to develop Eeli feigned interest around the store, lending one ear to what was being said.

Upon entering the shop, Vulpesen found himself quite at home. This was a place of business and trade, something Vulpesen had grown up around for most of his life. "Salutations." He words came out easily and Vulpesen gauged the mans reaction. He seemed a bit overjoyed at the prospect of customers which would open several doors for Vulpesen in the long run.

"Can I help you sir?" He expression was hopeful as Vulpesen walked to the counter and leaned across it.

"Yes, could you tell me what affordable clothing you might have in black?" Vulpesen figured that if there was a chance for him to be spending, he might as well spend it on something he would enjoy.

"For you or the lady mister..."

"Tenebri. Valde Tenebri. And for me, it would seem as though my assistant is already finding her way around." Vulpesen cast a glance to @[member="Eeli Surik"] then back to the shopkeeper. "Something loose but not so much that I'm unable to wear this," he motioned to his jacket.

"And may I ask the occasion for such clothes?" He asked. He definitely wanted to make the sale, after all when one has few customers, every one counts. And by the look of the shop's condition, it seemed to be a very slow business.

Vulpesen couldn't help but smile. This man was playing right into his plans. Perhaps he would buy a few extra items just as compensation. "I'm looking for a few contacts, and I don't think they want to meet with anything too flashy." His grin turned a bit darker, giving the hint of who the contacts might be.

Upon hearing his words, the shopkeeper grew noticeably jittery which was understandable due to his customers apparent hidden nature. "I see. Out of curiosity, would you mind telling me who these contacts are?" His arm seemed to be moving with a hand under the table, but Vulpesen doubted that he would hit any security measures just yet.

"No, but perhaps you could tell me where to find them. After all, isn't kindness to donators a good policy?" Vulpesen reached into his coat and brought out some of his credits. "And if a customer were to pay ten percent more of his purchase, you wouldn't want to bring such an economic blessing to be found out by the law now would you?" The terms were simple, and by Vulpesen's eyes, fair. The shopkkeper apparently agreed as he finally began to relax and casually took the credits into his hands.

"When you find them, try to steer clear of the alley two blocks down. I've heard there's some shady dealings out there, and if you get yourself caught, I'm afraid I don't want anything to do with them nor do I have any time for the law." He wore a small smile as he stepped from behind his counter and led Vulpesen through the store, showing him the selection of clothes he had asked for, albeit at a slightly pricier amount due to the ten percent that would be added.

"Understood my friend." The rest of the talk was simply asking about threads and quality until Vulpesen finally purchased several shirts as well as Eeli's cloak, much to the man's delight. As agreed the ten percent was added and Vulpesen walked out of the shop with a small smile.

@[member="Vexander Graves"] @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"]

After exiting the store Eeli and Vulps distributed the gear amongst the group. With a swift motion Eeli donned her cloak, which fell into place just above her knee. The dark grey colour fit without hesitation and neatly covered her Lightsaber hilt. Summarily, everyone else put on their new fatigues as Vulps relayed the information he gained.

"Two blocks down, that's closer than I thought... Their influence must have gotten larger since the last reconnaissance team came through. Still, I suppose that makes our lives a lot easier" said Eeli as she readied herself for the true beginning of the mission. Eeli paused for a second, "Vulps, I think it'll be best if you be the talker in our first contact; if the rest of us talk to them we'll come across as a foreign, which will immediately put them on edge. No offense, but you look more like someone they'd actually deal with, rather than someone they would try to mug". Nico bristled slightly, as if to say 'they'd only make that mistake once...' 'Attacking a Jedi would be stupid, but attacking a Mandalorian on top of that -' Eeli smiled a little inside, that would indeed be a singular mistake with no oppourtunity for repetition.

Eeli made a cursory glance around The Works. 'Endless durasteel and grime... Hang on, are those guide rails?' As she looked up she noted a complex system of rails on the ceiling; they were probably installed a long time ago and were used to transport materials around the district without choking up the walkways. The rails were thick pieces of durasteel and were no doubt as strong as they were when they were first installed. An occasional container was stuck every now and then, jammed on the rail. Just above the guide track Eeli noticed little maintenance walkways at every junction, every 20 meters or so. "Guys... I have an idea. Why don't Vulps and Nico take the normal path, whilst me and @[member="Vexander Graves"] take the guide rails above? Vex can provide sniper cover from a maintenance platform whilst I can be pretty much directly above you, ready to drop down if needed. It's unlikely they'll be watching the ceiling, and it's pretty dark as it is, what with most of the lightning only being the emergency ones?" The ceiling was a good 20 meters off the ground as well, begging the question of how Eeli, with no telekinetic ability, was going to reach that high. Noting that the others were ready to ask that question, she smiled: "Don't worry, when you lack the ability to move things with your mind you tend to come up with more inventive solutions... watch." With that, Eeli took a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching. Taking a few steps back from the wall on the left, Eeli charged towards the wall with incredible speed. Using the raw power of Force Speed Eeli went vertical and stormed up the wall with little effort. When she reached the ceiling she kicked against the wall and acrobatically flipped backwards onto the maintenance platform.

Thumbing her commlink, Eeli spoke out: "I'm probably prouder of that than I should be..." A moment later Vex joined her. "For the most part we'll be free climbing along these rails to our target, the only bad thing is that we'll get covered in grease and oil along the way".

Nico Ike Qarmast

The Wayward of Clan Qarmast
Nico was outside with @[member="Vexander Graves"] as the other two had gone in and she moved to lean against a wall wiping the dirt off with a sleeve. Not much of a help but it would have to do as she crossed her arms and waited letting the force flex out to observe the area. It wasn't much to see but she was ready to do as needed and perked up seeing @[member="Eeli Surik"] and @[member="Vulpesen"] as the woman looked around. Nico's eyes flicked over them wondering what was being said inside while she moved off the wall and heard some of the plan. Her and Vulps going on foot while she and Vexander went in from above. It wasn't a bad idea but she was more curious what had been said while her hands went to her head pulling her hair into a tighter ponytail for a moment before she released it and gave a nod of agreement. "Ready when you are."

@[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] and @[member="Vulpesen"] started off. Eeli turned to @[member="Vexander Graves"] and whispered: "this is pretty exciting..." with a smothered smile.

Vulpesen let out a small smile and moved forward. Once again, he couldn't help but remember his days on Nar-Shadaa. New planet, new team, and new equipment, but it was all the same scenario. For him, this was simply a chance to dust off his skills before he got rusty. As he moved down the block, he kept his eyes out for any trouble. Though it kept them from being rejected, their cover also left Vulpesen and his team as young humans without any jedi training. Or at least, that's how an outsider would see them. Giving a vibe of danger to anyone wasn't always enough when one was only seventeen. He kept this in mind as his hand continually drifted to the blaster in his jacket. "Try to control the urge to draw your lightsaber if we get in trouble. My blaster should to the job while keeping our cover," he said, looking at @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"]. It wasn't a lack of faith that prompted the request, but caution was always something that was good in undercover situations.

Nico looked at @[member="Vulpesen"] when he spoke and raised an eyebrow letting a tight lipped grin play across her face. In truth she didn't need a saber but playing the part to fit in, a nod came while slowly with a look around her eyes tracked anything that might be a threat or serious business. Then she stopped for just a moment to change standing in a sleeveless tunic and tying the robes arms around her waist more like a jacket. The saber still obscured in her pocket and it would be a little bit harder to get to but if they needed to fight a few extra seconds when outnumbered wouldn't matter if her partner couldn't draw. "Alright" The smirk remained while moving to just stand off to he side and about half a foot behind his right shoulder.
