Out With The Old, In With The New.

Ariealla was too close to dodge, simply too close. The Force slammed into her chest, from [member="Atheus Voidwalker"]'s hand, sending her flying backwards, though the way she twisted her body in the air almost made it seem purposeful. She was coughing hard, as she managed to land rolling, keeping her blade off of the dirt as she landed some distance from the man. She huffed, hard, and pushed herself up onto her knees as she looked up at the man, smiling ear to ear as she brought her sword between them. Crimson ichor, she brought the flat of the blade to her lips and gently licked it from the metal, savoring it, closing her eyes as she began to stand once more. Ah... hypocrisy always left a delectable tinge. Darkness standing for Light, a man who claimed not to sing doing so with such a voice.

She almost wanted to tell him the complete truth, just for giving her such a sweet taste.

Instead, she slowly wiped her blade clean using her weapon's scabbard, and gently placed it aside. At the same time, she removed the contacts in her eyes, tossing them aside. They did nothing for her but 'restore' her eyes, after all.. but without them the bright, sulfurous yellow was clear as day for Atheus to see, and frankly for them all to see. "You filthy little liar, you sing so well. I just have to take our dance more seriously!" She chuckled and reached to her hip, withdrawing the lightsaber resting there. Holding the long hilt in her hands, she ignited both blades, the black cored, purple blades springing to life and illuminating her grin. A weapon that was as unnatural, and visually corrupt as she.

One two three... one two three... the blade began to spin gently in her hands as she began to count in her head, before she moved forward swiftly, making a swing from her lower right to top left, and thrusting forward with the second blade at the bottom.

Actions:
  • Was sent flying back from Atheus
  • Removed contacts, revealed intense darkside corruption (Sith still unconfirmed)
  • Set aside sith sword, switched to saberstaff
  • Has taken some time to switch everything out safely
  • Swung diagonally up and to the left
  • Stabbed forward

There came a sudden clattering of metal bouncing across the marble stone floors of the Jedi Enclave's great hall where they were all situated, some of them were fighting amongst themselves while others like Veiere and [member="Kei Raxis"] were arguing the merits of this endeavor, the discussion quickly growing tiresome as Kei continued to dance around Veiere's words. He could feel the doubt and insecurity in the other man, he was on the cusp of breaking and it wasn't even a malicious fall that Veiere was encouraging but rather the denial of restraint for the pursuit of freedom and self exploration within all aspects of the Force. Never the less, Veiere's focus was removed of Kei as his peripheral vision caught sight of the few canisters rolling across the floor to stop near the center of the group.

Shield yourselves...

His left hand extended before him, palm open and facing towards the nearest of the sonic grenades, the force flaring up around him seconds before they exploded. The blast of blinding light was one thing, blocked out by the closing of his eyes yet the noise and rocking of ones consciousness, that required something else all together. Around his form, the ambient blue glow of a great sphere reacting to the light of the grenades exposed his force shield to the others, those whom might be able to catch a lasting glimpse of Veiere before being blinded themselves. Time itself seemed to slow down, those fighting were thrown off guard and those prepared were too busy defending themselves from the shock of it all to be able to use it to their advantage yet a presence beyond him could be felt entering into the foyer, one [member="Alkor Centaris"] coming to join them in the fight.

As he opened his eyes, Veiere released his hold over the shield around him, the force dissipating to allow the freedom in his movement once more; there remained a ringing in his ears and a slight hint of nausea, yet for the most part he had managed to evade the majority of the discomfort and now turned his sights upon [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] for whom he knew to be the largest threat within the room, at least to he himself in any case. "Atheus...", Veiere called to him, his lightsaber receding into his hilt with a loud and final snap putting an end to the crackling of his blades energy imbalance; "Those who do not wish to die, may leave, though I suggest they do so quickly. My people are going to take what remains of this Enclave as a compromise for their lives being left in tact. This is my one offer...-See the others out while I'm feeling generous".

This sudden change of heart might come as a shock to some of them, perhaps resembling a weakness of will power in Veiere whom otherwise had ulterior motives. He knew the Enclave well, there would likely be many valuable artifacts still remaining even after the majority had moved to Mon Calamari. At the least, it would serve to sate the desires of his fellow Dark Siders while Veiere might salvage a future word with Atheus himself. He had not expected the man's appearance today, it had been a miscalculation on Veiere's part that would not happen again...-Not if he would be able to convince his brother of his cause at the end of all things.

(I somehow missed the grenades. Sorry @Alkore Centaris Need more coffee)

A clatter, soft enough to be nigh unheard by a fighting person, seemed to echo in the watcher's ears. Kasca Fen turned her attention from the fighting happening to see the sonic grenades hit the floor and begin to bounce and roll. Sonic Grenades would concuss the unwitting; stun or disable them while whomever sent them on their way would be able to swoop in for the kill or capture. Kasca wasn't about to let that happen to her. If she was going to make this choice she wanted to do it on her own terms. And since she had much more warning than most, even if that was only a second, it was enough that she was far more prepared for the grenades when they went off than most others would be.

As soon as the canisters registered in her mind, she threw her hands up in a great sweeping arch and ducked. Knowing earth was a great dampener of sound waves, she used her telekinesis to pull cave rocks of varying shapes and sizes to enclose her.

Shield yourselves... was the last thing she heard though it had not been vocal, before the earth encased her.

It wasn't pretty. She had only seconds to prepare, but as the blast went off, she experienced only a small fraction of the destruction the device could cause. The rocks and dirt shattered into tiny pieces, showering her in the tiny and harmless debris. Kasca was otherwise unharmed. She dusted herself off and listened as [member="Veiere Arenais"] gave [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] his final offer.

"See the others out while I'm feeling generous."

The time has come. He is here.
Does he know yet? Does he understand?
He needs.
She wants. We want.
It is time.
Our's is the mind of the many and the face of the one.
Decide Kasca. Decide.

Kasca stopped her brushing as the voices sounded within her mind and pushed her. He was Veiere. He was important. She had a choice but the voices... they guided her to something new. Should she take it and leave behind the Jedi Order and its remnants? Her eyes fell on Veiere's foes with a look of mingled doubt and pity. No... they could not give her what she needed and with that, Kasca took a step, and then another to stand behind Veiere.

The woman had been flung quite a distance from me. Enough to give me time to gather myself from the wounds she had left me with. Even as the sonic grenades came flying down at us. I turned just in time to a couple and threw them past myself and down a hall that I hoped no one else would be in. Turning to the Dark Jedi who I so very clearly thought and assumed was much more only revealed more. Removing contacts rather quickly and tossing them aside. Her sulfuric eyes did not lie to me. She was dark. Very dark within the force and my jabs at her true thoughts were becoming correct the more I fought with her. The Sith sword, the blip of the force leaking from her, her eyes. She was either a very dark rogue force user, or a Sith.

I could be wrong as a Sith was a title for those who were in that particular religion. However, that name was thrown around so often you never really know who was a Sith and who was a Dark Jedi. Despite this, as she lept out towards me. Using my own sword to parry the first saber coming low to my right knee then up towards the rest of my body. The second saber continued without any actions against it. That was until the blade was stopped mere millimeters from my clothing and glanced off.

I had used force weapon, as well as force barrier many times before. This was no exception. Blocking a lightsaber blade without moving is the best way to do it. My left hand once more thrust out with a force push to send her back from me when I could hear my name called out. I took a second to look over to Veiere. Nodding my head once at his words. I took a few steps back. Turning off my lightsaber and walking towards the center of the room before throwing both of my hands out. A purple line formed across all the walls, ceiling, and floor. It then closed on itself with a swirling mass of what appeared to be liquid.

This barrier I created cut between the fighting forces of the Jedi here at the enclave, and the forces of Veiere's Dark Jedi.

"Call this a term of our agreement."

I created a safety net for the Jedi to leave. They were to leave while I would be staying to hold this shield. Looking between the forces of this man as well as himself. I simply stared into his darkening eyes.

"Jedi. This is your time to leave. You can rebuild and replace all of this at a later date. For now, keep your lives."

I would never be happy with any conclusion to this fight. And I am more than sure that Veiere would want me to understand and join his cause. However, there are somethings I had to look through before I gave him an answer. For that, I stayed silent until all would leave.
