Hands down, the easiest way to get new RP is to join a large faction and be useful to them. That's not necessarily the best way to do it, but it's the easiest. Starting a business can be difficult and frustrating, but if you put in the work, it can be incredibly rewarding. Find an underserved niche and fill it.

None of the current major factions really seem right to me. I could go for a minor, but there's too many to really look at properly. A planet sounds fun, and could be interesting, though...hmmm.

You could always take over an old TU world. You'd have some influence there, I'd imagine.
