DESCRIPTION
What can be thought of as the military version of the Eidolon Trailblazer, the Reconnoiter Surveillance Armored Scout - or S.A.S. - swaps scientific sensor arrays for military long-range surveillance ones. Possessing the same engine and shield deflector upgrades than the Queller, this starship can also perfectly fill the role of a starfighter, with added scrambling and jamming functionalities - Albeit with a lighter arsenal, by swapping the hardpoint launchers for racks, and the Vaapad-class for Juyo-class cannons.
Despite having a more powerful Ion Thruster than the open-market OT-42 models, the OT-42R S.A.S.'s increased weight due to its armaments, as well as surveillance systems, has a negative impact on the astounding speed and maneuverability that the Eidolon Class is known for - although not as severe as the impact on the Queller. And, just like with the Queller, the Reconnoiter cannot have a SLAM installed.
