  • Atmosphere: Type IV
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Provinia
  • Planetary Features: Domed citied litter the terrestrial half of the planet, with clusters being visible from space. Ruins of Pius Dea cathedral ships and strongholds litter the uninhabited parts of the planet. The majority of the settled part of Ord Providence is Urban.
  • Major Locations:
    • Provinia: The largest domed city and the capital of Ord Providence, housing the main governing body of the planet.
      • The New House of the Goddess, a replica of the House of the Goddess built to serve as the center of worship and governance .
    • Stuupa: A smaller dome on the far edges of the settled portion of Ord Providence where Clouzon-36 is harvested and processed for export.
    • Botania: The dome to the south of Provinia and the central agricultural center for the planet, housing the majority of Ord Providence's greenhouses. It's streets host rows of open markets where produce and foreign imports can be bought and sold.
    • Thella: The main center of transportation between domes and off world, housing the primary train station and space port respectively.

  • Force Nexus:
  • Intent: To create a force nexus for a small darkside cult present on Ord Providence.
  • Nexus Name: Eye of the Goddess
  • Nexus Alignment: Dark
  • Size: Small
  • Strength: Moderate
  • Accessibility: The nexus is well hidden, contained under the New House of the Goddess and closely guarded by those born into the priest cast of the planet. Being deep within the structure, the nexus is hard to access and kept hidden from the public, with a select few being permitted to access it. Isolated as it is, being hidden at the heart of Ord Providence's capital city has caused some negative effects to the surrounding area.
  • Effects: Those near it may find themselves plagued by slight paranoia and sleep deprivation. Within the nexus itself, individuals may find themselves growing hostile, seething, and even face darkside corruption if exposed to it for long enough.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Godoans
  • Immigrated Species: N/A
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: Majority Godoans, with few to no other species choosing to settle on the world. Despite this lack of population diversity, travelers from distant worlds of different species are greeted warmly.
  • Primary Languages: Basic
  • Culture: Deeply religious, much like the Godoans of Godo, the people of Ord Providence have completely centered their culture around the worship of the Godoan Goddess. Their society is separated by cast, with each rung below the church dedicated to the service of it.
The High Ones sit at the top of this social ladder, made up of those born into the religious circle of the planet. The Mighty Ones fall below them, serving as the planet's primary military and police force. The Guilded Ones sit towards the lower end of the ladder, a group of skilled craftsmen and lower officials. The Low Ones sit at the bottom, the ordinary folks who preform the majority of labor on Ord Providence. Marriages and certain rituals may change the cast of an individual or their offspring, but generally changing one's position is greatly frowned upon.
Despite this separated cast, health is of the highest priority, as fitness is valued for dedication to worship. Healthcare is free and laws have been put into place to ration out food to the least financially stable. This system has it's flaws, as medical equipment is generally lower quality for lower casts, and produce grown for rations is of low nutritional value. Corruption has also seen these recourses become far less available to those who need them.
The top percent of the High Ones, the High Elders, are considered to be ritually pure. As such, they are required to avoid contact with lower classes. Any who do are unable to remain High Elders and must step down to the regular High One status.
A secret dark side cult developed in the High Ones cast, a small group that dedicated themselves to the study of the dark side deep in the New House of the Goddess, where a force nexus lies.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Theocracy, Oligarchy
  • Affiliation: Galactic Alliance
  • Wealth: High. The abundance of Clouzon-36 has made the planet a lucrative one, but it's unstable atmosphere redirects much of that wealth to maintenance of life support systems.
  • Stability: Medium. Deeply ingrained religious sentiment and fear of social isolation keeps the general population in line, with values in place that encourage hospitality to visitors and neighbors alike. There is some disdain in the lower casts, but nothing that is apparent to the naked eye.
  • Freedom & Oppression: The ruling body is strict, outlawing drugs and the use of alcohol outside of ceremony. The general population are not able to own weaponry, the expectation being that the Mighty Ones will assure the security of the people. Freedom of travel is not limited, but service to the church is a social standard. Media is limited to what the High Ones find to be acceptable, generally locally made content that shines a good light on the church. The High Elders serve as the final oligarchical council, overseeing the laws and regulations of the world.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: Lightly technologically advanced, with a basic navy and basic ground defenses. While religious pressure produces highly effective warriors, Ord Providence relies on it's wider network of allies for protection on the large scale.
  • Technology: Galactic Standard.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

A neighbor to
Ord Vaug, Ord Providence is a highly toxic world that sits on the edge of the Ord Vaug System. The atmosphere has become unbreathable due to a large amount of Clouzon-36 seeping out of the core of the planet following a near cataclysmic event. Early in the planet's history, it was settled by traders from the Herglic Trade Empire, but would come to be occupied by the Pius Dea during the onset of the Pius Dea Era. Here, the Order of the Terrible Glare would preform a ritual slaughter of the settlers, forming a small dark side nexus generally referred to in modern times as the Eye of the Goddess by the few who have knowledge of it. Eventually, increased volcanic activity caused toxic levels of Clouzon-36 to spew out from the core, rendering Ord Vaug incapable of naturally sustaining life.
The planet would be abandoned for tens of thousands of years following this event, with few attempts made to capitalize on the planet's natural gas. In the year 4 BBY, the Empire would finally do just that, establishing a plant for processing Clouzon-36 on the planet. When
nearby Ord Vaug was liberated following the Battle of Endor, this plant was swiftly abandoned. In 4 ABY, the planet would find itself new inhabitants, a band of Godoan migrants fleeing a plague outbreak on their home world of Godo, who took up residence in the abandoned facility left behind by the Empire and began to expand. By the modern day, Ord Providence is a planet of grand domed cities, interlinked in a complex system optimized for survival on the toxic planet, all built around a new house of worship built on the force nexus left behind by the Terrible Glare. A reliance on exporting Clouzon-36 and their new hostile world has made the deeply religious people of Ord Providence eager to branch out and make allies. For this reason, Galactic Alliance membership was accepted with open arms when the GA's influence moved into the region, as the Prov Godoans saw the fortune in getting their natural well of Clouzon-36 into the Alliance's economy.
