Open Group Training (ALL APPRENTICES AND KNIGHTS)

Shinju moved, the lightning was so much more but oh it was fun. With a smack of her saber she caught one of the commanders strikes. The thought of trying to attack her came for a single moment... That had been one of the techniques when Sirella trapped them in the arena. The sith master had taught her drain in that lessons. Much like Shadow had taught her how to rip knowledge from people heads, now she ran letting her body contort to dodge the strikes. This wasn't about being stronger in the fight yet... It was about not being knocked down and despite that numbness where she had been hit. The lightning portion wasn't the problem it was the darkside energy that bit deeper.

Another lightening strike happened near her and it only annoyed the Commodore raising her hands and summoning the force she allowed her anger to seethe feeling once again like a sith, as she allowed her anger to run rampant she once again summoned her animal instincts and allowed her own power to quickly gain, she began to create a mixture of spark and pyrokinesis in her hands and as she did this she quickly manipulated the properties.

Within moments she had electrical fire running rampant through her own body, she held the currents as they grew stronger, after some time she began to walk toward @[member="Ashin Varanin"] and then smirked widely in a sadistic manner giving off the hint she doesn't like this game, as she walked toward the other she held her gaze over the admiral and sent a volley of electrical fire at the admiral hoping to fry her inner circuits, but as she shot it at her Tarika's inner fire burnt out and left her with nothing, as she looked at the woman a lightening struck before her and sent a shock through the ground which had a minor effect on the Zabrak Rogue.

As Tarika stood there two more volleys hit her body and jolted her into bending to her knees but she took it like a champ and held her gaze on the woman, her quickly dissipating rage left her body and left her in a more pain filled state, she had never been hit with so much lightening yet she shrugged it off and stood back up, her rage sapped all her force pool, somehow she was able to create a electrical fire so immense moments before that her own skin was badly burned, yet she paid no heed to it....she just wanted to protect others.

Another jolt came her way and she quickly flipped out of the way and landed back on her feet, the plan was to survive, fine she'll survive...as she held her position about 20 feet from @Asihin Varanin she kept her attention to the admiral and waited to dodge yet another lightening arc.

Pay attention...wait for the right moment...13 stop slashing at the ground and put away his lightsabers as he sat down cross legged behind his large rock. He just had to wait until it was time for him to move. He needed to analyze the situation effectively while regaining the energy he had wasted with the rock. He noticed practically everyone was wearing themselves out running about the ring like a bunch of animals. 13 sat, and took a moment to regain his energy. Breathing steadily and keeping a close eye on everything around him.

Zaiden remained hidden for the entirety of the encounters going on about him, arms crossed over his chest. Clad in asilk shirt with nice dress pants, he appeared odd for a training regimen but it was what lay uunderneath that would aid him. For under his clothes lay his Recon Armor Mk II, the most technologically advanced tech he had made to date, one capable of allowing his lazy feat currently executed - to only put up a half strength force cloak and remain entirely unseen, save for @[member="Ashin Varanin"]. And even she would have to expect him to notice his location behind her. That was it's beauty, a full power Cloak focused around his suit would allow invisibility against the highest of Masters, save again unless they were expecting him.

Clearing his throat he sent a telepathic message to his friend, When you get a second, find me. I would like to learn, or maybe just a one on one duel. Personally if you could, I'd like to maybe catch some pointers on my control of Force Lightning, but not in this fashion. Until then I'll remain out of this. Zaiden murmured softly against her consciousness.

Lucien was taken aback by Elijahs flash colour change and in his shock his grip on the padawan relaxed. He cursed himself as the dark manifestation of Lightning caused him to slide further and further back. His left heel struck the rings inner wall. Then something happened that he did not expect,He was struck by a weak force push that struck him square on the back.Lucien was a Makashi dueler and as such his footwork was second to none,Using the push as momentum he pushed forward taking two steps before the momentum dissipated leaving him stuck in place.Someone had just volunteered to become Luciens human shield. He felt for the Padawan @[member="Ares Terix"] with the force and focused on him,Then diverting a proportion of his energy he pulled on his attackers body,He aimed to used the padwans downward trajectory against him.

The first thing Spencer had thought him was cloaking his force abilities from everyone, combined with upbringing? It made him practically invisible to anyone who used the force as an extension of his or hers vision, which means almost everyone. So here he was looking at all the people running around there trying to evade or even stop the lighting while eliminating their competition.

"Fools, they should focus on their own survival. Instead of trying to purge their competition; Ashen does not need their help doing that." Jared thought with a light frown on his face.
"Strange though, I did not expect Ashen to fall for my Clo--" He thought right before a lighting bolt struck the place he was just two seconds ago. "By the frakking Force, that was close. It seems like I am not as invisible as I thought." "Though it looks like the other contenders have not noticed me yet."

So without further ado he jumped from the bleacher he was sitting on and starting using the force to enhance his movement without shedding the metaphorical cloak around his Force Energy. "I may be able to redirect her lighting or even block it out for a few minutes, but I am not Spencer; it will take too much energy and in the end I will be a sitting duck."

Shinju moved by her Lucien with a grin while holding the saber. A laugh was on her face from the sight as she spoke letting the blade block the lightning while she grit her teeth. "Are you enjoying yourself my dear Lucien?" She knew the concept of feeding on the force from Sirella, she knew how to take knowledge from Shadow and she was learning from Ashin... yes Ashin the commander whom revealed herself in the throne room. How to feed off this darkside. The god in her head Velok, his crystal could give her that pain, its energy but she wanted to consume the rest. She let her rage and anger seethe while opening herself up.

She opened herself up to the screaming of the shard in her blade and felt its screams entering her to nourish. She felt her hunger for flesh there being sated by the force energy and let red tendrils dance along her gloves. She blocked another and lapped at the darkside strike. The blade could handle the lightning easy enough but the darkside she felt it trembling her hands. It was so many things concentrated and given, so much rage and she knew her eyes were golden while for a moment she took some in. Then her hand was numb and arm limp before she was slammed into the wall.

Ashin Varanin

Professional Enabler
The lightning curled around the stone that was @[member="Subject 13"]'s hiding place -- he would find no more shelter. He would have to evade, or be knocked unconscious. The same went for @[member="Pandeima"]. Try as she might to use other people as human shields, the lightning storm arced over them to strike her.

Nobody would win this. Victory simply meant being the last one knocked out. This was not a team-building exercise; it was about humilitry and survival in the face of overwhelming power.

Ashin's lightning resisted @[member="Tarika Sadow"]'s redirection. Redirecting lightning in any substantial way took more than just a Force push -- it took advanced knowledge of energy manipulation. Tarika's sparks and fire were incorporated into Ashin's storm; the Dark Master remained unhurt, but impressed.

Barrage after barrage slammed into Shinju, Lucien and the rest.

And as for the stealthy ones -- @[member="Zaiden James-Greyson"] and @[member="Jared Ovmar"] -- they were, perhaps, in greater trouble than they realized.

There were three kinds of Force Cloak. The first was so far outside their skillset and experience as to be impossible. The second involved the actual bending of light, a virtual lost art but one Zaiden had made his specialty since his days as a Hand of the Empress. She had made that knowledge available to him, courtesy of Velok. But that skill would only fool the eye. Other arts, like Qey'tek meditation, were needed to suppress Force senses. And no Knight alive could hold a bent-light cloak and Qey'tek, let alone with lightning everywhere.

No, old friend...if you're here, you're part of this. Show them how it's done. Evade. Be the last one conscious.

A special storm of lightning converged on Zaiden from all sides.

Meanwhile, Jared Ovmar was discovering that his skill with the third kind of Force Cloak -- the mental kind, a mind trick, 'you don't see me, you don't see me' -- was insufficient to keep himself from the notice of Masters and powerful Knights. Lightning converged on him, too.

Lightning everywhere.

Tarika watched as the lightening arc kept blasting the ground she was near and continued to try and evade it, as she summersaulted to the side and backward as well as doing flips to get away from it she focused on evasion rather than escape and continued to survive through the lightening, one arc came close but she lifted up her hand and deflected it away from her, Tarika was now starting to once again feel the force pooling into her and being rejuvenated within her own body, but it still wasn't enough to really use anything.

As an arc came very close she was force to dive and roll from it but barely missed it, she was growing tired and somehow the lightening kept gunning for her, she rested for a moment and the as soon as she felt she could she gathered the force to her and used force throw to throw a lightening arc away from her, she would need the force so for now she would barely use her own abilities....conserve energy to use to deflect the lightening away from her.

(OOC sorry was post sniped by Ashin lol!)

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Two more strikes lashed out at his blade arm, and the pain almost made him drop it. He had...to get...relief...

The plant outside wouldn't help him. Telling it to stop, he decided to see what was below the sand.

Keeping the blade between him and the lightning, he used the Force to start digging beneath the sand, to find dirt, or some sort of nutrient stockade. He would use what he found to hold off the pain.

Wait. Lightning plus sand equals... glass.... which isn't conductive!

Drawing on that revelation, he heaped a pile of sand in front to hold off most of the lightning, while the saber attracted the rest of the blaze like a lightning rod. And he kept digging...

Whelp. If he needed too, he could always take chunks of earth out of the walls behind him with his lightsaber as lightning curled around the rock he was hiding behind. Wasn't like he couldn't just do it again and again until he actually needed to move somewhere. However, too many people where trying to kill each other in means of their own selfish survival. Pathetic...13 had no interest in meddling with everyone else when the goal was for him to survive. Frankly this whole exercise could very well harm their team work skills in the future. 13 would not want to help someone who was constantly trying to use him as a shield or knock him out. Either way Ashin clearly wanted to prove a point...and not a very good one at that. This reminded him of one of those stupid survival shows where a group of people where stranded on a planet against impossible odds and had to take out the other teams while being the last team standing. Yes...this was just like that.Sighing heavily without an emotion across his face he stood up and faced the rock. Counting to three he would take off at a decent speed so he did not tire himself out. Chances where he was faster then anyone here without even using the force...Inhuman like speed, mixed with a wolfs endurance, plus the acrobatic skills of a monkey or a cat. If anyone could out maneuver these streams of lighting it was probably him.

1...2...3! 13 lifted his foot and slammed it into the part of the rock that was conducting less lighting around it and smacked it out of the ground towards @[member="Elijah Rowlin"]. The padawn would soon find a large rock about to land near him. The lighting disbanded and went back to its normal pattern allowing 13 to book it. Turning to the part of the arena that was completely empty due to lack of people around 13 sprinted for that area away from everyone else. A stream of lighting came his way at his mid section and 13 dropped and slid to his knees. Arching his back at it traveled above his face. Turning his gaze to the left he saw another one coming for him where his feet where supposed to be. Being snappy about his acrobatics he lifted his body up again while still on his knees and slid in the dirt for a moment before hopping off his knees and doing a handstand for a split second before thrusting himself above the lightning streams below him. In mid air 13 noticed there more incoming on his position and he grunted as he landed sloppily and ducked his head while spinning. Allowing another to pass over him. More came for his knees and 13 trusted his body back and did multiple back-flips while keeping his legs curled so avoid letting them get to high. He landed in the far back of the arena where the lighting and other members where less likely to attack him. Now he just evaded...the best thing he was good at other then telekinesis.

"Oh sh-" Zaiden began, but was cut off as a massive torrent of lightning pulsed his way. Instantly Zaiden drew his cyan and crimson sabers, he then locked them into an X in front of himself with his arms fully extended. He barely had enough time to take a breath, let alone completely tense his muscles before the barrage slammed into his sabers.

Body unnaturally tense, eyes focused, and his veins throbbing hard against his skin, Zaiden fought back against the electricity. As he battled the attack, he felt himself sliding backwards all the while miniscule tendrils of lightning were getting past his defenses and scratching his face. Cuts could be seen on his clothing, revealing his armor beneath which was suffering minor burn marks.

Ares felt himself being pulled forward and he smirked. Pushing people wasn’t his fortay. He was better at saber combat and here Lucien was helping him how kind. He used the force to aide in his approach as he ignited the other half of his double bladed saber and then with a quick assistance from the force gave himself a firm push to the ground next to @[member="Lucien Cordel"].

Instead of doing anything with the force or his Saber Ares lowered his shoulder and charged into Lucien from the side his double blade moving to lock with Lucien’s light saber and push it away from his body while he attempted to knock him into the wall hard. He then leapt backward swinging his saber behind him as he attempted to deflect some of the lightning that was coming at his back. He did but some of it still hit him knocking him to the ground where he rolled away.

A safe haven had been discovered high up in the arena stands. The massive structure was largely uninhabited, save for the multitude of scampering individuals below. The Force was ricocheting around the stadium like a slug round shot in a glasteel box. The black-clad figure was seated high enough not to be blatantly noticed, but near enough to watch the spectacle from a closer viewpoint.

His golden, gleaming eyes flicked back and forth to track each figure with interest. Those eyes analyzed, that mind plotted.

It was getting increasingly harder to dodge the damn lighting @[member="Ashin Varanin"] was throwing around like candy on Hallowe'en. "Ok this is clearly not working." Jared thought and then released the force cloak he was still holding. "I will have to come up with something new if I want to survive this so called training.."

Sadly Jared's usual brilliant mind decided to give it a rest for today. "Well, frak it, I will just go faster then." And with that Jared started to feed his muscles even more energy.

While keeping his speed at this level Jared noticed something. The battlefield had a certain rythm to it, lighting bolts which a moment ago were flying around without logic and direction suddenly had a purpose. From there it became easier to avoid them, he felt the path of a bolt while it was travelling towards its target. "This will come in handy." Jared thought with a satisfied smile.

Lucien took a hard hit to the side at stumbled right,His footwork prevented a total loss of gaurd but he took a heavy shot of Lightning to his shoulder he groan and repressed the pain.He turned his head slightly to look at @[member="Ares Terix"] "You should be careful not to expose your self your fall will be hard unless you learn to pick your fights well" to emphasize his point he used his left hand to shoot Lightning at the padawan on the floor. This lessening of his gaurd forced him backward again so he returned his hand to his saber hilt and slowly pushed against the lightning to take slow well thought out steps toward the arenas centre.

As Zaiden fought against the massive storm of Electricity that was threatening to overwhelm him, he spotted an Apprentice running nearby (@[member="Jared Ovmar"]). The young man moved far faster then a normal person his age was capable, and clearly was amplifying his power with the force to move faster. Watching him for a moment, he smiled for a second.

With a nod, Zaiden made his decision and began to fill the young man with his own power. It was a risky venture, battling against the power of one of the greatest Lightning Masters of all time, all the while still siphoning his power to the boy as he sped by. Through his Miraluka enhanced eyes, Zaiden could see the massive funnel connecting himself to the apprentice. It swirled bright silver as he attempted to help the man raise ranks in the Lord's.

Hoping he could keep it from @[member="Ashin Varanin"]'s gaze, for the man would seem all the more powerful if he could do the things he as an apprentice and not drain himself wholly, and to show such power was the kind of thing that could elevate his skill rank.

Tarika once again had enough energy to secure her own survival and began to support herself with the force, as she did she continued to evade the lightening arc and found it had gotten much harder but then she noticed a rhythm to it, it appeared, at first, to her to strike in quick pulses but it also had an intended target range for each persons, this target range was predetermined by the force and the lightening was following the forces guidance, as Tarika quickly back flipped out of range she noticed another thing, there were new arrivals to the party and for everyone the lightening was going on a direct path with a preset targeting range that it follows, if she would be able to get everyone to pay attention she could get the team out safely.

She reached out with her mind and attempted to touch the minds of the survivalists that were playing the game of cat and mouse with @[member="Ashin Varanin"]'s lightening, as she did she allowed her telepathy to be heard by those that were in the arena and could hear it The lightening is predetermined, focus and pay attention and you'll survive....it has a predetermined targeting range, get outside of those ranges and you'll survive this, trust me on this she attempted to relay to everyone.

Zaiden laughed at @[member="Tarika Sadow"], she believed Ashin so weak? No. The shots were not intended to kill, so they would be simple to dodge for some of the more experienced. Instead of bouncing around Zaiden was sure he could muscle this situation and survive. Besides that, his concentration was broken between his own defense as well as empowering @[member="Jared Ovmar"], to do more would risk losing efficiency in one side or the other.

Tightening his grip on his sabers, Zaiden began to slowly fight his way to the origins of the electricity. He would face the ex empress and demand a one on one duel.

A cloud passed over the sun, shadowing the entire arena. The hooded figure gave a predatory smile.

It was time to strike.

With a flourish, the Sith Master dropped his Force concealment and guided himself over the stands with a tremendous leap. He was garbed in the typical robes of a darkness shrouded individual such as himself. Black, dark, and shadowy burning all the way to the core. It permeated, it controlled, it devoured. However, this was not so in the hands of Dranok Lussk. He controlled it and he devoured it; he did not become it, it became him.

A sickening thud sounded out as he found his landing point at the right side of a raging Ashin Varanin. The dark figure's wolfish grin had not disappeared, yet it curved up even more as a golden gaze traced the surging arcs of electricity flow towards the scattering Knights and Apprentices. His voice was barely a low whisper, "Let me have my fun."

And with that, a blood-red double-bladed lightsaber found its way into his hands. His predatory gazed averted towards the Knight busily working his way to Ashin in an attempt to eliminate the source of the lightning. The smile had not gone, not yet. The hooded figure launched himself around the arcs of lightning, using the inner areas of his presence to protrude outwards in a bubble-like effect to dissipate the lightning flowing around him.
