The First Son
Crisis 2
Location: Temple of Illumination Perimeter
Allies: [member="Ameli Trahir"] | [member="Kira Corsai"]
Forces: Perimeter Forces and Air Support
[9/20]
The young Sith Acolyte's approach was indeed a conundrum to the Troopers maintaining fixed positions around the perimeter of the Temple. It would seem that Ameli's arrival had coincided with the attempted exodus of a number of Chalactan Adepts aiming to escape the grips of Triumvirate forces inside the Temple of Illumination. Helmet communicators began erupting in a flurry of radio traffic as forces that had been assigned to specifically watch for any trying to escape moved into position to take custody of the adepts.
At the same time, those assigned to maintain a defensive posture balanced between needing to support their comrades and holding down their respective sectors. "Sergeant! You need to see this..."
A Sergeant walked up to one of the snipers that had managed to zero in on the rapidly approaching figure. "Lightsabers." You see, Ameli didn't much look like anything other than a force user. They'd received no word of any inbound Triumvirate forces, and the random speeder bike certainly did not carry a Triumvirate transponder. Further more...white? Didn't really mean much, but it was better to be safe than sorry in this instance. "Disable the vehicle."
"You got it Sarge." The sniper hadn't lifted his head from the scope of his weapon. Following a few cues from the spotter to his right, the soldier fired two successive shots straight into the body of the rapidly approaching speeder.
As the engagement was prosecuted, the Sergeant relayed the information up the chain. "Sir, unknown in quadrant 3. Mobile. Engaged to disable."
A pause.
"Copy Sarge. I'll run it up to the Captain. In the meantime, I'm vectoring in Guardian for the pick-up."
In less than a handful of seconds, one of the assault shuttles circling high overhead flared down into a low approach between Ameli and the Triumvirate forces at the Temple. As its repulsors worked to keep the large vessel airborne, the entire area around it became almost impossible to traverse via speeder or on foot as the wash from the downward thrust intensified. Once the vessel had touched down, a contingent of four armed crew members exited to attempt the retrieval of the unknown individual.
