Laina Silvias
Mama Bear
"Thank you, Siobhan." She said softly, with a catalogue there was no doubt that she could take more time to look through the options and find the perfect things for her little girl. The ebony-haired woman then gave a nod, "I'm trying not to. It's just a little hard for me." A sigh followed, "I don't exactly have much, and didn't come from much. It's hard to see money spent, especially these kinds of numbers. It's just strange to see. And stranger still for it not to be a big deal. I do, appreciate it. I don't want you to think anything else of me. It's just this is kind of new. Never been able to just walk in a store and get anything I want at all. It's still a bit odd to me. I'm sure I'll get used to it in time."
Laina purred quietly as Sio stroked a hand across her belly. Such touches were incredibly comforting to the amazon, reminding her of better times back home. The kiss, hardly took her by surprise. This kind of affect she was truly used to, and was quick to return the kiss. A smile appeared on her lips as she pulled away. Certainly these were comforts that she needed more of, far more often. For Laina had been lonely for a long time, ever since she'd left her home behind. Not that she'd ever openly admit she'd been lonely. Pride would keep her from saying such things.
As Sio limped to the counter, Laina was about to follow when Mei-Ling stopped her. She glanced back listening to the woman's words. "I will try. Still odd, very odd to me. Never met a person like her before. Then again, the people I have met aren't shining examples of humanity. I've noticed she seems to like little Morrigan, and me. It's hard to miss such things, and she isn't exactly subtle about it." The amazon whispered in reply.
