Republic Hill- Main Complex for Republic Government Administration

Fable rolled her shoulders as she walked out of the Senate building. The sunlight was refreshing after the long day spent staring at datapads and displays. All those holograms made her eyes and head ache. But the sun was warm and she felt some of the tension in her neck easing. It was time for a break. It was nice that they'd finished the main green between the Senate and Assembly. It stretched before her, a few kilometers long, with a variety of wild grasses and trees edging a variety of walking paths. At the center, she could just make out sunlight glittering on water droplets from the Republic Fountain. A group of artists had gotten together to make it and donated it to the park.

It had become quite the center for the Republic staff and local neighborhoods. With most of the Republic office and admin buildings ringing the park, plenty of food and drink vendors had taken to lining the walkways. It filled the air with the rich scent of sizzling food. It wafted towards her and she picked up the pace.

She was starving. Hadn't eaten since breakfast almost twelve hours ago at this point. Her stomach rumbled and she picked her way through the growing crowd of government officials meeting their families for an evening stroll, others coming in for the night shift, and the never-ending surge of tourists eager to see the new capital center of the fledgling democracy. She ran a hand through the creds in her pocket as she considered. She recognized a group of people she knew from the Assembly headed towards the bundle of vendors around the fountain.

Fable adjusted the course and headed towards it, seeing who else might be ambling around the grounds. The sunset was just beginning to set behind the main Senate building and the sky was turning a crisp pink-orange in the distance. It was a perfect evening. Maybe there'd even be some street musicians showing up. That would be even better.

Another long day bouncing between the Diktat's office, the Senate, and Orochi's office in A-Town and while he could kill for a bowl of The Master's ramen at Roto-Ramen, he was too hungry to wait for that. Instead he joined his "compatriots" at Republic Hill to grab a bite and listen to the gossip. Gossip was always good to hear, even when it was useless. It reminded him about the game he played and kept him on his toes. The Frozen Hand had finally been put to rest and while he had enjoyed the chaos of it all, a rogue Sith element was not what he had in mind all those months ago when SHE had approached him.

She noticed Fable headed their way and bowed slightly as she neared earshot.

"Senator Solborne, its good to see you," he smiled and scooted to make room in the circle of Assembly members and interns that stood around the vendors.

Barr looked over to the different types of people with types of status, whether it's tourist, senators, or just regulars with nothing seeming to guide them in life walking around Republic Hill while he himself was leaning on a wall that was part of the senate building that his mother was in. For the past couple of minutes, Barr has been waiting for his mother Ellen, to finish her meeting with other senators inside the building about something.... he wasn't really paying much attention to what his mother was saying to him earlier while on the way to the place. He just wanted her to be finished so he could move on with his day.

You think that a man that was trained from a young age for battles of different kinds would have patience inside him. And he would, but this was a man that spent much of his time having to deal with mother's job as a senator and supporter for the republic since he could walk and something like that could take a toll on you even if your, in Barr's case, a solider for the republic.

Now, tapping one of his foot rapidly on the ground, Barr sighed, He was given leave from the time being from the republic army higher-ups and wanted to spend the free time he had spending time with his mother. Looking at a nearby vendor who was selling food, Barr stood up from the wall and walked over to him.

"If I'm going to wait, then I might as well grab a bite to eat." He said.

Red stood at attention outside of the man entrance for the Senate building. He stood guard, watching the scenery and people in front of and entering the Senate building. Red held his rifled in his arms, and his helmet was on. Obviously, he was in full armor, having to stand here, on guard, and watch and make sure nothing happened.

And it wasn't really exciting.

Red had worked a couple of shifts already. He had patrolled, checked ideas, and now for his last shift he was to just stand here and guard the doors. He hadn't eaten for a while, not since way earlier, and his shift was about to end, so he would probably go to get something to eat afterwards. He noticed some Senators leaving. Most notable, Senator Fable Solborne . A man also approached her. But that was none of Red's concern, currently, he was just guarding, he wasn't assigned to guarding Senators, so it was none of his concern.

Then, a voice crackled over his commlink. It told him that his last shift had ended. Maybe he would go to get something to eat. He walked away from the Senate building. He swung his rifle over his shoulder, and took off his helmet. His red hair made him stand out, as it caught the light, and made it even seem fiery. Red sighed. He held his helmet in the crook of his arm.

He continued walking, wondering what he would do next.

"Hm!" came a voice from below Barr's waistline, "A good idea that is," came the strange voice again, "But a good idea cutting in front of a Jedi Master, it is not." The voice was coming from a diminutive green creature with long, messy, dark green dreadlocks and huge pointed ears. Morteg, a Master of the local Green Jedi Order and Temple Master of the nearby Saber Jedi outpost. He wore sun-paled green robes under a thick hooded robe that seemed to be a size or two too large for him. The lightsaber that hung from his utility belt looked more like a toy or a comlink and strangely there was also a normal-sized lightsaber that looked comically too large for the small being to wield.

In his hands, he held a small fist full of Corellian credit chits. The Jedi's eye quirked up at the man challengingly as the chits floated up and onto the counter, the alien's gaze not shifting from the taller man's. Morteg saw a twinkle in the man's eye that intrigued him. Calling on the Force he used it to empower his voice so that the man behind the cart counter could hear him.

"Pay for his meal, this should. Mine as well." The credits clanked softly on the counter.

Barr quickly turned toward the small creature that was near him. He was not showing it, but he was a bit startled that the creature came out of nowhere and spoke from his blind spot. His father would have scolded him if he was with him and saw but was grateful that he wasn’t. The creature’s lightsaber immediately caught Barr’s eyes after he took a good look at him for a few seconds. “Where did you come from...” He asked with a nonchalant tone in an attempt to recover from being startled. When the creature attempted to pay for his food Barr quickly stopped him. “No…no…no..” He said taken back by the creature's act of generosity and kindness. He began to wonder who this person was and wondered he if has seen him before. He started to ask himself by he would pay for his meal as he didn’t buy the fact that he was willing to do it for no reason.

Barr was raised to not believe in people doing good things for no reason so the person previous action made him cautious. “Look, apologizes. I didn’t see you there.” He started, “You don’t have to pay for my food kay? I got my own credits.” He said getting out his own Corellian credits.

"Nonsense!" He nodded satisfied as if his word had suddenly ended the conversation. The green man waved his hand dismissively and gave the young man a toothy smirk. "Easier this way it is. At the same time, we can eat." He wiggled his fingers at the sight of the man's credits and clutched the three-fingered hand into a fist and pulled the credits into his own hand before depositing them into a pocket within his robe.

"There," he said with finality this time, "Paid you have." By now patrons behind the pair were starting to look restless and the vendor was peering over the counter at the two. Morteg smiled up at the ugly being before ordering.

"The Nerf bowl if you please. Extra Jogan Sauce." Large green eyes peered up at his new companion and he nodded towards the apparently female being.

Barr didn’t want to show it, but he felt uncomfortable having this creature paying for his food. He didn’t know who this character was and wondered if he was connected to any of his parent’s enemies that they encountered from their respective line of work over the years. Some of the sounds from the other people waiting in line for some food caught Barr’s attention and thinking quickly he said, “Well… thank you for paying for the food guy I never met before and probably will never see again.” He next asks this question, “Want to talk over there?”

He didn’t feel right leaving the guy after he paid for his food so he thought it would be best to just talk to him but He also wanted to see if he could know more about him just in case he needed the information on him. Barr knew he was a force user from seeing him interact with the credits but was he Jedi or sith? He didn’t know that answer but was going to find out.
