A group of Diathim approached Elidan, their bioluminescent bodies slowly floated in front of him. There were about 40 of them all armed with a variety of blaster rifles with some of their foreheads glowing brighter than usual. "We know why your Empire has come," a blonde Diathim said her tone of voice electronically resonating. "Iego is not your personal planet to plunder!"

More Diathim approached the Inquisitor and Alessandra Io Alessandra Io ready to fight. "You will leave and tell your Emperor that Iego will stand up to your brutal assault. Already our people have taken the fight to you! Your forces are being cut down as we speak! The only way off this planet is through your death!"

The blonde Diathm's forehead grew brighter and she unleashed an electric beam heading straight for Elidan.

"ATTACK!" She said as the rest of the Diathim began firing on his Elidan's forces.

Diplomacy was not the specialty of an Inquisitor, let alone one sent for the single purpose of extermination. Imperial High Command had long sought out their own alliances to the Emprire's power only grew, but Eldian knew that all alliances would be temporary. In the end, the Empire would control the entire galaxy once more, if only they could take the outer rim first.

He had been informed of the arrival of forces from House Io, but to see Nuetralizers in person was quite the sight. While certainly impressive, Imperial indoctrination ran deep within the Inquisitor, forcing his initial relation to be little more than mild displeasure that he would have to display a modicum of respect in the coming battle. Still, this initial ill-will vanished rather quickly, the Empire's goals were greater than whatever distrust he might still harbor.

"Ah, Chaplain Nuetralizer. Your forces are a welcome addition, I do not doubt that we will finish these fools with ease."

He had thought that this interaction would be the last, but it seemed that the Chaplain Nuetralizer had come to do more than command her forces, she intended to fight alongside him. While sharing glory wasn't something he was entirely pleased about, it was what the Empire required of him.

"Very well, you will accompany me in the vanguard. We will take them head-on-"

While strong in the force, Elidan occasionally found that his senses failed him, especially as the Diathim appeared to take the initiative and strike first instead of waiting for their destruction. Immediately, his hand found one of his lightsabers and its red blade hissed to life, but he did allow his victim to mutter what foolish nonsense it deemed necessary to spew.

The first blast was dodged, though clearly, the ISB had failed to mention this ability in their initial field reports. Nevertheless, the Diathim's defiance would be short-lived. More importantly, he needed to keep his men from falling to the influence of these demons before they caused a full rout.

The Chaplain Nuetralizer would prove rather useful in that regard.

"Chaplain, I will deal with scum here. I need you to rally what forces you can and push on the bridge, once I've mopped up here we can assault the mine together."

With his plan in place, the Inquisitor set to his bloody work. The few troopers that were stationed in the observation post quickly took up blasters and began firing, but they were suffering casualties as the assault continued. It was time to press the attack, and the High Inquisitor would be the first into the fight.

"Forward! For the Empire!"

He leaped, his first target being the Diathim who spoke to him. She was prepared, blasting beam after beam at him as he attempted to slash at her with his lightsaber to no avail. These creatures were quick, but they were no match for the power of the force. After another failed slash, the Inquisitor activated his second lightsaber and launched it with force directly at the lead Diathim, impaling her through her back and causing her to fall to the ground.

As it lay dying, Elidan approached in the midst of battle, leaning down to deliver on final insult.

"I'll make them suffer. Your people will never know freedom again, that I promise you."

Without another word, he retrieved his weapon and turned back toward the assault, pressing forward to cut down more Diathim as he pushed to take the bridge.

"Hey Buttercup," Ami smiled. "I see you met Sunshine she was a better shot than you!"

“Meet and greet sounds just lovely, people.” Ivixa cut into the ongoing conversation as she climbed her way up the side wall of a tall office building, in the hopes of obtaining a high vantage point that would grant her an overwatch position above the landing pads. The pads were the primary objective for the mission and thus, Ivixia anticipated that it was where the 26th Attack Battalion would attack. “Let’s stay on task, please.” The tiny sniper added.

With that, Ivixa cut her comm and grunted as she continued her climb. Before long, she made it to the roof of the building, there finding an unexpected, though not entirely unwelcome surprise waiting for her at the top.

An enemy sharpshooter.

Thus far undetected, Ivixa took a step to make sure that it stayed that way by activating her armor’s mimetic stealth system, thereby shrouding her form in a sheath of invisibility. She then moved to approach the sharpshooter from behind, who had his scope focused towards the entrance of the landing pads, in anticipation of the coming assault.

He could not have expected a threat to come from behind.

As soon as she was close enough, Ivixa unsheathed both her gauntlet vibroblades and lunged towards the sharpshooter, leaping onto his shoulders in the process. She plunged one of her vibroblades through his helmet and the other through the side of his neck, before savagely tearing both of the blades free from her target’s body, splattering the sharpshooter’s crimson essence on the ground as she did.

From there, Ivixa dragged the body away from the corner of the roof, before pulling it into a place that wasn’t immediately visible. Then, the tiny Asa’nyx quickly set up her sniping position, before sending out her probe droid to ensure that no one could come up behind her, as she had done to the sharpshooter.

“This is Rominaria Seven, in position for overwatch.” Ivixa said over the landing team’s shared comm channel, as soon as she finished setting up.

She hoped that her transmission would be the cue for the clones to initiate their assault.
