Two things.
One.... What the frell is this piss? I submitted a discussion about pseudo-superweapons weeks/months ago and was more or less politely told to shut up and go away. Those 'superweapons' were suppose to be fair and balanced and have limited power capabilities. Shutting down a planetary shield.... blowing up a single Star Destroyer in one shot, then having a very long cooldown... things like that. With severe limitations on range, accuracy, and cooldown/charge up times.
'Fleet Killer'? Really? Who even wakes up in the morning and thinks that that is a good idea? 'ship killer'? Sure, happy hunting. Work in some fair balances and have a ball.
Fleet Killer?
No. As someone who has had to drag his feet and fight tooth and claw to get ships and technology dragged through the factory without getting crippled by nerfs, and as someone who has violently opposed the 'denied on concept' ruling....
I'm officially requesting this ship be denied on concept.
Oh. And I almost forgot about point two. The quality and 'logic' behind the submission is almost laughably bad. The limitations state nothing about what needs to happen between those five posts before and after firing. With the way it's worded, you could crank out 5 posts in 12 seconds and fire the thing. And judging from what I've observed in the past from the OS and others... yeah... no. Also... The lack of explanation for what it is, how it works, what its limitations are, what it can and cannot hit, how a ship avoids it... Everything about the submissions just REEKS of "I want to have a toy where I can push a button and everything dies. I don't want to have to work for it and I don't want the enemy to be able to do anything to stop it or not get killed. I also don't want people to be able to "dodge it". So if I fire this and they try to survive, I'll just report them for not taking the hit."
Another thing... a "Hypermatter reactor that takes up most of the ship". Really people? For one, Ayden handed me my butt with my Concordia submission and firmly explained that a hypermatter core on a ship is extremely volatile and likely to explode. He made it clear that nearly any shit that comes close to the core enough to shake it decently will cause the whole ship to explode.... So... This "Undying" is actually kinda an amusing name. Because it would explode instantly any time a single Hypervelocity cannon hits it... anywhere on the hull. And, btw, I can guarantee you that is a hit the OS will never actually accept/take.
Anyway. I'll repeat myself. I'm going to go ahead and ask that this ship be denied on concept. I don't know who suddenly thinks full-bore superweapons are a good idea, and I don't know who the hell decided that the One Sith was the appropriate faction to get the first one... But it's a bad call. For one.... Because it is in no way fair and balanced for anyone else on the board. And because the faction being handed this thing has proven again and again to not care about other writers and that they will attempt to bully other writers and even staff members to get what they want.
They reported an RPJ because they didn't like getting told to take a hit. They kicked and screamed and complained because they wanted to do PVP fighting and someone else wanted to do Objective Fighting. They tried to force staff to change a rule because they wanted to be able to dictate what others had to do and endure.
I don't know who's ear they've been whispering into try and get themselves a superweapon, but it's a bad idea overall. And the submission itself proves that they have no intention of even attempting to be fair and balanced about it.
