Castle_zps6x4na3ji.jpg

The Castle of Odion Lord is the central administrative building of the planet, as well as the office and residence of the ruler of Odion. It is a huge building, as large as a typical town on the planet. Only the top levels of the building are used by the ruler and any politicians and have a separate entrance. However, the larger part of the structure are used by organisations such as the secret police, secret agents, Claimers and is also the best secured prison for war criminal and opposition politicians. Rumours say the parts of the castle hidden in the mountain are the executions sites for those civilians who are charged with the ugliest of crimes.

Capital_zpssffgfsxi.jpg
Rhen Vaj Dar is the capital city of Odion and also hosts the most civilised administrative building, the Senate Hall of Rhen Vaj Dar. Although the senate was disbanded centuries ago, the building still holds its name. Other than that, the city is a huge metropolis that takes up a huge area of the planet. It is the most organised and also the most heavily guarded settlements on the planet yet it is also known for its beauty thanks to very strict cityscape planning laws. The city is also called Rising Sun City.

Diamond%20Temple_zps8brjxyy7.jpg
The Diamond Sun Temple is the home of Novitiates, similar to the Jedi and Sith Temples. It has training chambers, bedrooms, halls and archives, as well as a Council Chamber for the Great Novitiate Council. The Temple can only be entered by Novitiates or other Force-sensitives who have been taught the rigorous and complicated rituals to open it up. The burning effect in the bottom of the Temple is mainly a visual effect which really serves no purpose. The temple itself was built after President Aldeas became the Lord of Odion. In the beginning of his reign, he ordered the workers of the planet to build a huge temple which would host his very own organisation of Force users. As it neared construction, all workers working on the building site were fired and replaced by carefully picked individuals who would finish the structure -- all of that in order to prevent outsiders from entering or spreading any information on the building.

Culture:
Government-wise, the planet is autocratically controlled by the Lord of Odion, typically a Sith who has been appointed by the previous Lord of Odion. In every given situation, there must be somebody else in line who would take reign in case the previous ruler were to die. This has also lead to many cases of 'Order of Two' type murders where the next in line kills the previous Lord of Odion in order to gain the position faster.

The Lord of Odion has an appointed council of advisers, mostly consisting of regional leaders and rulers. They advise the ruler but have no real power over the planet as a whole.

Society-wise, the planet is mostly seen as a highly civilised group of people. However, de facto, Odionates are more like slaves than free people, judging by personal, economic and political freedoms. People have to abide to the strict rules made by the government, aka the Lord of Odion, and don't have much freedom of choice. Even the smallest of crimes have harsh punishments, meaning even a small mistake could grant a person a place in prison. Death penalty is utilised often.

Religion-wise, things are not that strict. Non-Force sensitive people have the freedom to choose whom the believe in, but any fight against the belief of the Dark Side of the Force is seen as an opposition against the government and, in most cases, results in the person being crudely punished. Force-sensitive population, however, has to practice the use of the Dark Side of the Force. Force-sensitive kids are noticed by Claimers at a very young age and whenever they reach the age of four, they are taken to the Diamond Sun Temple for training.

Members of the Order of Novitiates have much more freedom than non-force users as they are the executive force who have to make sure people are under the strict control of the dictator. In general, the Order is a lot like any other Force organisation. It follows the general three-rank structure and consists of former Sith and Dark Jedi who have decided to use brute force and instincts rather than careful planning and intelligence. To put simply, the Order is taught to destroy everything on their way and therefore, they do not follow any codes or morals. Their only rule is to abide to the Lord of Odion.

Technology:
The technology level of Odion is on par with the rest of the galaxy, despite various catastrophes like the Gulag Plague and the Netherworld chaos.

History:
The history of Odion actually starts at 1040 BBY. Time before that holds no real significance. With the rise of the Odionate not too far away from the planet, the people of this planet were greatly influenced by the nihilist ways of life.

However, not much changed. People lived in a seemingly democratic utopia where they had many rights and everything seemed to be well. Therefore, there is not much to talk about.

Changes happened when the Gulag Virus came. In order to gain totalitarian power over the planet, President Aldeas started a referendum so that he would gain unlimited power over the planet. People were obviously confused because of the reigning virus and hoped that Aldeas could make their situation easier, so the referendum decided in a planetary consensus that democracy would be demolished.

Aldeas became the very first Lord of Odion. Democracy no longer existed on the planet and, one by one, the Lord started destroying people's rights by making even stricter and stricter rules, all hidden behind the facade of lies about how he does the best he can to save the planet from the Gulag Plague.

After a few years, Aldeas found out about a former government called Odionate, which was much of a nihilist movement which didn't believe in civilians' rights or welfare. As the man himself was a Sith Lord, it was easy for him to take on that philosophy and start the second Odionate.

As time passed and the Gulag Plague was a huge problem, people in general didn't see no reason to fight against the dictators of Odion. There were rebellions, one of which could have turned into a successful revolution, but they were all forced down by secret police, intelligence agents and the Novitiate Order. After every rebellion, laws became even stricter and stricter to show people that a fight against the government makes their lives worse.

The Gulag Plague passed, but as generations of people had lived under the autocratic rule of Lords of Odion, there were no intentions of rebelling against the dictator. A huge influence also came from the fact that the government had started taking away children to brainwash them.

The Netherworld disaster did have huge effects on the planet, though, Many people went missing and were never found again, making the people of Odion rather suspicious. Like a true totalitarian regime, the Odion government did their best to erase any true information about what was going on and replaced them with lies which would prevent people from panicking, rebelling, and eventually overthrowing the government.

Even though the government had to do a lot of work to cover everything up, they eventually managed to calm the people down to a certain degree.

And even though times have changed, the planet remains under the strict rule of the Lords of Odion.

Notable PCs: Equa Dominator
Intent: To add a planet to discover to the Chaos canon, as well as to give a planet for an upcoming organisation Odionate Hegemony.

With the History, something about the Netherworld events and how that affected the planet, and the people needs to be added in.

The Diamond Sun Temple seems interesting and unique. It could benefit from more details being added to its description. Also I'd like to see more added into the culture on their beliefs with the force, like more information on the Claimers, and the Order of Novitiates.

Lastly I need image source links for all the artwork.
