Descending into the Capital City of Bescane, Diarchy forces are met with heavy Anti-Aircraft Fire.

The City itself is defended by shields, preventing orbital bombardment, brave men and women loyal to the former Imperial Commander Draak, and traps throughout the city streets.

Take part in a brutal exposition of urban warfare as you fight from building to building, tower to tower, to bring down the shields and allow our men and women in the Navy to fly targeted bombing runs.

The City defenses are lead by Commander Draak, a former Imperial Commander turned brutal Warlord, each step through the city will be hard fought and hard won.

Are you a military commander leading troops from the rear? Or boots on the ground fighting to bring Draak to justice and establish order on Bescane?

The Diarchy needs all the brave men and women it can get, come join the fight!

Nexion was ready for the day's events to commence. It had been a long while since he managed to properly stretch his legs and help take over an entire planet, so he was pretty happy with going to down to bring down the Capital's defences.

As his transport ship touched down on the outskirts of the city, he took a moment to begin preparations for the assault. He was informed he'd have assistance arriving, but he was itching to begin and so started arranging for the attack.

The city was well defended from the ground, and even he had to admit that he couldn't take down the entire army ahead of him. He began to plan about him taking 3 squadrons to begin the initial attack and secure checkpoints at the edge of the city. From there, he and his allies would begin to close in towards the command centre that his target, Commander Draak was held up in.

He would wait a few minutes to await the soldiers with him to finish setting to the checkpoint at their landing zone and to see if his allies arrived before he decided to go on ahead.

This was his moment. Ryu had been living a cushy life at the Crucible and was looking for a real challenge. As his transport was descending to the ground, his blood was boiling and his body was tense. He was ready to prove himself to his master and the rest of the Diarchy, showing that he could in fact handle himself and a military operation.

Admittedly, Ryu has no experience in urban warfare, let alone military operations. But he had the force and his training, something a lot of these backwater ingrates.

The transport had landed by the staging area that was preparing for the assault. Diarchy forces were already preparing for the assault and despite the material advantage, tacticians knew it wasn't going to be an easy fight. The enemy was dug in and had chokepoints in city blocks and rooftops. But they would be no match for the power of the dark side.

Ryu walked around the military checkpoint, looking for the commanding officer. Lucky for him he eyed Darth Nexion Darth Nexion , one of the members of the High Council, someone he can prove his mettle to.

"My lord!" He called out to the Darth. "Acolyte Ryu, reporting for duty my lord! Ready to take this world for the glory of our Diarchs!"

Where ever it be that the Force willed her, Ala would find her way. For a reason that soon became clear, Ala had found her way to Bescane. The reaction to a Jedi Master walking the streets during a time of siege and imminent invasion was not pleasant. They had, however, left her alone. There was clearly more to figure out than an errant Jedi Master, especially one as demure, and unassuming as her. So, she kept an eye on preparations, and when the ground assault began, Ala was not too far off, waiting for her moment.

newnew.png
Even now she crouched atop one of the many buildings near the gathering forces below. They seemed unaware of her presence, but that may not be a good thing at all given they were about to be attacked. The defence did not seem as organised as perhaps it should be. But she was no tactician. She was barely a warrior.

Her mind went back to the battle against the Bryn'adul, and how it had changed her. She never wanted to go back to being that person again. She had sacrificed her own internal light, for an edge against the ravaging hoards. Although she had managed to grow as a fighter, and even win some key victories, it had not been without cost.

She stretched her back. Its occasional subtle ache was a persistent reminder of the price she had paid, almost permanently. And the long road back, the recovery, and even the necessary miracles, had perhaps only been a one off. You dare not lose your soul to your enemy, lest you become them yourself.

So she would wait, and she would assist. She would give Bescane a chance to survive another day. She would face whatever foe came their way, and she would walk away still centered in the light. Because that is who she truly was.

"Now...where are you?" She said, eyes scanning the distance for anything that approached.

Objective: Slaughter the enemy!

Sounds of battle could be heard across the planet, earthshaking explosions rocked the ground as the transport ship set down. The troopers held onto anything they could, as the ship was nearly shaken apart. One lone masked figure stood center of the transport, unwavering and unafraid. He could sense death in the air, the pain and anguish of the fallen, and the fear resonating in the survivors. He couldn't wait to spill blood on this world! Every moment of waiting was like torture to him. Like hanging steak in front of a starving beast.

"Soldiers of the Diarchy! Your Marshal speaks to you! Your first objective, route the enemy around our landing zone! Send them running deeper into the city, then disable their anti-aircraft network so that we can rain Hell down upon them!" Nathrax barked into his communicator, linking him to the ground forces.

From his transport, he walked with purpose, soon meeting with some of the command forces on the ground. His breaths came ragged under his mask, and he raised a single hand to greet the others that had gathered around. Two of them were particularly interesting. The man he knew as Darth Nexion was getting his command ready, pensively drawing up plans to storm out of the landing area. Meanwhile, a young man he did not know was speaking to Nexion.

"It is good to meet in battle with my fellow warriors... I would like nothing more than to spill blood with the both of you! I have already met with you once before Nexion, but who are you young man? Another soldier of the Diarchy I would assume..." The self-proclaimed Sith Lord chuckled as he looked to Ryu, not thinking much of him on first glance. Still, he could prove himself in time, youth could be an advantage if match with suitable amounts of ambition.

Matthew slowly walks out of a building near their troops. He streches a bit as he join Darth Nexion Darth Nexion . He wears a totaly inapropriate outfit for the situation since it's his red shirt and black vest, plus a well-ironed black pants.

He landed with Darth Nexion Darth Nexion but went on his way for a moment, exploring the area.

"So, how do you want to do this ? If you need anything, I'll be there on support" Say Matthew without his usual smugy smile. He's taking this very seriously.

He take a long look at their troops and nods at Ryu Jung Ryu Jung then he join his hands on his back, calmly waiting for the orders. He sniffs the ambiant air, analyzing every sound, everything he can, very attentive to the slightest change, to the slightest anomaly that his senses will pick up. He looks at the roofs of buildings and the upper floors, searching for snipers.

"This will be difficult... Too many hiding places, I don't like that, too much higher grounds." He thinks.

The sounds of a full battle were something Varis had not heard in a long time. It brings him back to his original days in the Imperial First Recon. A small boon of anxiety crept over him for the first time in what must have been twenty years. In all of his time surviving on the moon of Dxun, fighting alongside Lord Rellik, and helping form the Diarchy. It was not until he was back in with the regular military under a different leader beyond Rellik that he remembered how he felt being left behind. This was his first full operation since that day. Knowing the battle raged and that the Diarchy had their full trust in Darth Nathrax Darth Nathrax , Varis would put his support fully behind the man as well. For this is his new family and the only one he could rely on.

Varis arrived with the initial transports that had split between the Urban assault and the Siege. Coming in under the high explosive fire of AA guns he had seen one transport be taken out before it could even land. Splintering in an instant under a high pressure fire, the enemy only needing to hit near them to take some men off the board before the battle even began.

Upon landing he saw the High Marshal and Council member Darth Nexion preparing for the assaults'. Varis knew his role, he would move towards one of the buildings the diarchy had already cleared, a communicator strapped to him linked to the High command of the Urban Warfare. He would not bother command until he was needed. Varis had no official military rank but he did have a pin on his chest that carried much weight. A metal hounds head with a spear sticking through it. Signifying he was the Hunter of Diarch Rellik.

This is the role he would ensure throughout the fight. Arriving near the top stair of the roof he laid prone up the stairs so only the his eyes crested the rooftop. He grabbed his binoculars and began to sight in high priority targets that upon acquisition he would relay to High Command.

As Nexion was observing the city, he was brought from his thoughts by a young apprentince introducing himself as 'Ryu'. Nexion looked the acolyte up and down, as if gauging his ability. Tilting his head to the right slightly, he spoke with a grin on his face.

"Rather excited are you, 'Acolyte'? Good, you'll want that energy, though you may not keep it. Well, with your arrival, you will join me with beginning the primary attack."

Before he could inform the young man of the plan, Matthew Varrec arrived claiming he'd be support for the attack. Nexion faced the man, his smugness being apparent.

"Ah, Varrec... if I were in need of your parlour tricks, I'd have invited you myself, but if you wish to make yourself even a fraction useful then you may support the attack as you will. So long as you stay out of my way, I don't care what you do."

Even before he could speak again, Darth Nathrax arrived as well, introducing himself to the acolyte to his side.

"Ah, yes, Nathrax... should I remember you?"

Nexion decided to not wait for an answer, but instead looked back towards the city. As he did, he felt someone new in the city. His grin widened as he began to believe that the invasion may be more interesting than it was before.

He starts to open his mouth to retort but he's interrupted by the arrival of Darth Nathrax Darth Nathrax , he will nod at him.

"Delighted to meet you, Marshal. I'm glad to be at your side today. Matthew Varrec at your service." He speaks with confidence even if he seems a bit out of place.

Then he turns to Darth Nexion Darth Nexion and he tolds him "Well, in that case, I'll go on my way, just don't be around there when I'll start unleashing everything. I don't want to do some friendly fire... Er... friendly is not the right word with you... I'll say Colleague instead."

He starts to look at the city, taking a deep breath, getting ready mentally. It's been a while since he was on the front line with other people. He's a bit stressed because he's afraid of hurting his kind especially if they'll come in his part of the battlefield without noticing him.
He knows that communication is key but he lacks it.

"Any special instructions ? Or shall we kill everything in sigh ?" He asks, looking at Darth Nathrax Darth Nathrax

He could've toned down the enthusiasm to a 4. Although he had never really met the other councilors and didn't know the proper etiquette but he was a member of the Diarchy all the same. Not like this upstart, Matthew Varrec Matthew Varrec . Who was he? Ryu never saw him while at the academy and he gets to act all buddy-buddy with his superiors. He chose to ignore him, for now at least. He might prove valuable in a fight. But he seemed to lack discipline.

He then turned to the man he'd be following, Darth Nexion Darth Nexion and spoke, "It would be easier if we went down separate paths. It'll prevent us from getting bottlenecked by the enemy while we're trying to clear the city block. Plus if these parlour tricks are of any worth from this sorcerer then we could clear the city with ease."

Ryu had no reason to jump on Matthew other than his willingness to feel important to the Diarchy's higher-ups. "We should attack now while the enemy is still on the defensive. They won't expect the power of the dark side. I volunteer in taking a subtle approach and surprising the enemy's positions, my lords!"

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
The Greh'ova Assault Ship thundered through the atmosphere of Bescane, cutting a fiery path toward the besieged capital city below. Its shields flared against relentless anti-aircraft fire, glowing bright as plasma rounds hammered the hull. From its massive bays, the assault ship unleashed a storm of LAET/I MKII gunships and LAET/C transports, their engines screaming as they swooped down like birds of prey. Smoke trails and fiery wreckage filled the skies, a chaotic overture to the battle ahead.

Inside his LAET/I, Laphisto stood near the open door, his broad saber hanging loosely in his hand. The wind roared past as the gunship banked sharply, dodging incoming fire. Around him, Lilaste Order troopers sat in tense silence, their helmets reflecting the flickering red light of the cabin. The air was thick with the weight of what lay ahead—a grinding fight through the city's defenses, street by blood-soaked street.

"Brace yourselves!" the pilot's voice crackled over the comms. "We're coming in hot—AA's heavier than expected!"

The gunship rocked violently, shrapnel pinging off its Dral Kayatr plating. Laphisto tightened his grip on the overhead rail, his gaze fixed on the chaos outside. Beneath them, Bescane's capital burned, the narrow streets choked with rubble and alive with the flash of enemy fire. The faint shimmer of the city's shield was visible even from this height, a mocking reminder of the mission's stakes.

"Commander," Laphisto called over his shoulder to the pilot, his voice calm despite the chaos. "Get us to the ground. We'll take care of the rest."

The LAET/I dove low, its wing-mounted LO-34L cannons opening up with relentless volleys. Explosions rippled through the streets below as enemy barricades crumbled under the assault. Around them, other gunships made their runs—some laying down suppressive fire, others already disgorging AT-AE MKII walkers. The massive machines hit the ground hard, their legs absorbing the impact with mechanical ease. The walkers' cannons turned, unleashing thunderous firepower that lit up the battlefield, forcing defenders to scatter.

Laphisto turned to his troops, his voice cutting through the noise. "You know the drill. We hit the ground running, stay tight, and push through. Watch your corners, cover the walkers, and don't stop until we've reached the generators. Let's give them something to remember."

As he finished, a gunship above them took a direct hit, its shields flickering out in a final gasp before the hull erupted into flames. The wreckage spiraled out of control, slamming into a building in a fiery explosion that sent debris raining down. Laphisto barely flinched, his focus already back on the mission.

The LAET/I jerked hard as it dropped into the designated landing zone—a debris-strewn courtyard lit by the staccato flashes of blaster fire. The side doors slid open with a hiss, revealing a scene of utter chaos. Enemy troops fired from makeshift barricades, while droids scuttled across the rubble, their weapons tracking the incoming gunships.

"Go, go, go!" the gunner barked, the door-mounted LO-27R turrets blazing away at enemy positions. Laphisto leapt down first, landing in the thick of the fight. His Broad Saber ignited, its blue blade flaring to life as he deflected a volley of incoming shots. Around him, his troops poured out, moving with precision to secure the area.

The gunship lifted off almost immediately, its shields sparking as it climbed back into the sky. Over the comms, the pilot's voice was tense. "We're taking too much heat—pulling back to range. Good luck down there."

Above, the Greh'ova Assault Ship began its retreat, its massive engines glowing as it climbed away from the relentless barrage. Explosions erupted around it, shrapnel lighting up its shields as it disappeared into the haze of battle.

On the ground, Laphisto wasted no time. "Cover the walkers! Push forward!" he shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. His troops fanned out, their blasters blazing as they advanced. The walkers stomped forward, their heavy cannons tearing through enemy fortifications. Overhead, the remaining gunships continued their strafing runs, laying down suppressive fire even as some were clipped by AA emplacements and forced to retreat.

The streets were alive with fire and fury. Explosions echoed off the buildings, sending clouds of dust and ash billowing into the air. The rhythmic pounding of the walkers' steps matched the relentless cadence of blaster fire, a grim symphony underscoring the fight.

Laphisto surged forward, his broad saber carving a path through enemy lines. He moved with purpose, deflecting shots and striking down droids with fluid precision. Around him, his troops pressed on, step by hard-fought step, their determination unwavering despite the chaos.

"Let's move!" Laphisto called, his voice carrying over the battlefield . "We've got a shield to bring down!"

As the Lilaste Order forces pushed deeper into the city, Laphisto got onto the Diarchy comlink, broadcasting his location and pinging his IFF tags to the other troops of the Diarchy so they wouldnt mistake him for enemies " lilaste forces are planet side, we are here to assist your forces."

with a flash of teal laphisto began to see the world through the force pulling at the world around him and searching for the force signatures around him. Unbeknownst to him also broadcasting his force signature for all to see or feel.
