SPECIAL FEATURES
- Allows for both mental connection with those who have enhanced cybernetic implants as well as standard connection through capsules.
- Grants users the ability to not only observe, but also actively participate in simulations of past naval battles with significance, allowing for those individuals to learn and understand naval tactics and maneuvers much better than those who'd only utilize theoretic knowledge.
- Capable of creating savefiles for battles and engagements altered or gone through within the Holodeck, allowing for tactical comparison, better exchange of strategy and tactical awareness.
- Can be viewed by instructors in real time due to the available holowall technology.
- Effectively provides a means to study past battles in a more interactive environment
- Greatly enhances tactical awareness and strategic competence of students and personel utilizing this technology
- Lifelike environment due to high processing power and insanely large data storage.
- Has cut-off protection in case of emergencies, avoiding possible braindamage during malfunctions
- Highly automated operations
- Requires large space or room for installment
- Currently only works with save files installed on ISW datapacks, not gabonna crystals
- Can't improve those who are just incompetent in strategy to begin with.
The N&Z Umbrella Corporation had long been quite keen on implementing the Holowall technology of the HPI consortium into something which would be more educational, something which could provide a better understanding of the past, the present and the future. While the company had never truly dabbled in anything educational except for the delivery of tactical droids for academies, training droids and the occassional old ship to be used for naval training, to actually provide something which could change the very essence of academic training was an entire thing.
While originally envisioned as a leisurely way for people to enjoy their wildest fantasies, the company's inherent status as a military contractor made it clear that a military, moreso an academic application of a holographic, holowall deck would be most opportune for the company's fortunes. The MTEM-HD01 or Military Tactical Enhancement Module was envisioned thusly as a means to allow students and even senior instructors to brush up on their tactical and strategic knowledge, improving their awareness in battles and allowing for greater insight in emergency situations and decisions under duress.
Utilizing an all-encompassing database of over a thousand naval and military battles from the past, this technology is meant to supplement the theoretical lessons with practical applications in many, if not all military and naval academies across the galaxy. Additionally, users are allowed and capable of creating save files of their active dives into the holodeck, allowing for an exchange of information, adjusted experiences and improvement of tactical and strategic awareness even for those who have not utilized the deep dive technology.
