SPECIAL FEATURES
- Force Veil: Renders the wearer almost invisible in the Force, scrambling or muffling their presence so they appear "hollow" or nonexistent.
- Predictive Scramble: Kov'dra filaments distort currents of foresight, making the wearer's actions harder to predict through precognition or danger sense.
- Null Impression: Empathic or telepathic readings are scrambled, leaving only faint echoes of emotion or intent.
- Adaptive Silence: The more still the wearer remains, the stronger the Force-blind effect, producing an almost total absence in the Force.
STRENGTHS
- Anti-Jedi/Sith Edge: Designed specifically to counter Force-user detection and precognition, giving non-Force operatives a rare advantage.
- Ambush Enabler: Force-users are less likely to anticipate an attack or sense danger until it is already happening.
- Force-Dead Synergy: On a Force-dead wearer, the fabric amplifies their natural void-like presence, making them almost indistinguishable from the background of the Force.
WEAKNESSES
- No Physical Protection: Offers no resistance to weapons, projectiles, or energy — purely a concealment tool.
- Non-Universal: Provides no benefit against droids, scanners, or mundane senses — it is Force-only concealment.
- Close-Range Breakthrough: Strong Force-users can still sense the wearer with concentrated effort or once direct combat begins.
- Fragile: Extremely vulnerable to lightsabers, plasma, or flames; contact destroys the weave instantly.
DESCRIPTION
Nyxweave was created to address a long-standing vulnerability of non-Force operatives within the Lilaste Order and the Diarchy. Against Jedi and Sith, even the most disciplined soldier could be betrayed by the Force itself their intent read, their presence detected, their attacks foreseen. By weaving microscopic Kov'dra fragments into synthetic fibers, Lilaste engineers discovered a way to scatter the "signal" of life in the Force, producing a muted, fog-like impression that Force-users struggle to track.
Unlike conventional stealth materials, Nyxweave provides little protection against sensors, optics, or weaponry. Its value lies entirely in metaphysical concealment. A scout, assassin, or commander clad in Nyxweave might still be visible to the eye, but to a Jedi's senses, they are a hollow shadow — difficult to place, predict, or feel.
For Force-dead individuals, Nyxweave enhances their natural void-like state, making them blend almost seamlessly into the ambient emptiness of the Force. For normal non-Force users, it provides a means to mask the vibrancy of their life energy, turning them into ghosts in the perception of those who would otherwise see them coming. Used sparingly, and only for the most dangerous operations, Nyxweave is not armor but a weapon of denial robbing Jedi and Sith of their greatest advantage.
