Built for speed and not for durability, suitable for interception duty. Originally designed to chase down and disable fleeing fighter and support craft. Unprotected apart from a basic shield generator which barely covers the craft and is woefully underpowered. Deployed across the New Star League to patrol and interception operations, and a standard use among most of the major and minor houses.
Equipped with the finest ion cannons suitable for a star fighter, the LF drone is well able to chase down opposition craft and hammer them with accurate disabling fire. Especially dangerous in groups, and well suited to working in concert with NSL Tractor Drones to capture enemy pilots and crews. This is a very basic drone design, with efficiencies for speed and disabling weapons, and sacrifices made in defensive systems.
