Darth Sycophantia, Minister of Science {M.I.R.}
Nothing Remains A Secret Forever
Prologue:
I sat within the dim sanctum of my office within the Mahporeem Imperial Science Station, the pale glow of a holographic star map bleeding across the chamber like the corpse-light of some distant, dying sun.
“Exegol is destroyed,” I said, my voice quiet enough that the science officer had to lean closer to hear me. “There is nothing left there but floating memories of a dead Sith Lord’s ambition to cheat death itself. Darth Sidious clawed at eternity and, in the end, another's hand struck; leaving all to ruin.”
The officer remained respectfully still before answering. “With respect, my Lady, the planet is not entirely destroyed. Rearranged would be the more accurate term. Its geography, atmospheric conditions, subterranean structures, and perhaps even portions of its physical composition have been catastrophically altered. But destroyed? No. Something remains.”
I narrowed my eyes at the projection.
“Regardless, why bring the planet to my attention?”
The officer activated another series of displays, revealing fragments of star charts, intercepted transmissions, archaeological records, and scattered intelligence reports; most of them incomplete, contradictory, or so old that they might as well have been myths.
“Because, my Lady, there are no reliable records indicating that Exegol was ever fully explored. Not by the Empire. Not by the Republic. Perhaps not even by the Sith Eternal themselves.
Everything we know concerns what Darth Sidious and his followers constructed there and patched stories from wary space captains; the temples, the laboratories, the fleet, the hidden facilities. Beyond that, the planet remains almost entirely unknown.”
He hesitated before adding, “And even those records are vague. Much of our surviving intelligence originates from a rebel resistance of some sort. Their accounts are fragmented, emotional, and difficult to corroborate.”
I stared into the hologram as the pieces finally assembled themselves within my mind. “Ah,” I whispered, feeling the familiar cold curiosity of discovery coil beneath my skin.
“You aren't interested in what Darth Sidious left behind. You're interested in what was never found.”
The officer lowered his head. “Precisely.” A thin smile touched my lips.
“Then dispatch an expeditionary science vessel to what remains of Exegol. No grand excavation. No reckless pilgrimage into the graves of forgotten ghosts. We observe, document, and learn.”
I dismissed the surrounding projections with a gesture, leaving only an empty space where worlds were was once suspended. “From there,” I said, “we can decide our next course of action.”
Two Weeks Later:
Scientific Expeditionary Report: Exegol Remnant Survey
Subject: Preliminary Assessment of Exegol
Classification: Restricted Scientific Record
Observations: Initial survey confirms that Exegol is indeed physically fragmented, existing as numerous planetary-scale debris masses of highly variable size and stability. Several larger fragments retain recognizable geological structures and exhibit promising conditions for further scientific investigation, including preserved subterranean formations and anomalous mineral deposits.
Other fragments are severely degraded, showing extensive exposure to vacuum, radiation, extreme atmospheric loss, and unusually high concentrations of unidentified cosmic anomalies. Several regions demonstrate phenomena that cannot presently be explained through conventional astrophysical or geological models.
Assessment: Exegol, what remains of it, should be regarded as a scientifically hazardous environment of unknown complexity. All further exploration must proceed with the utmost precautions, utilizing remote instrumentation, redundant life-support systems, environmental shielding, and strict contamination protocols.
I strongly urge reconsideration of continued investigation despite the risks; however, there is an unsettling quality surrounding the planet's remains that cannot be quantified through our current instruments. The data suggests something more than ordinary planetary destruction occurred here. Whether this is a residual environmental effect, a consequence of Sith experimentation, or something considerably older remains undetermined.

Expedition Objective I: Exegol Lost Knowledge Recovery
The first objective of the expedition is to conduct a controlled scientific and archaeological investigation of the surviving remnants of Exegol to determine whether any recoverable knowledge, records, technologies, biological specimens, or scientific data belonging to the Sith Eternal or Darth Sidious remain preserved within the fragmented planetary debris.
Researchers are to prioritize the identification and documentation of previously unknown facilities, data repositories, laboratories, artifacts, and environmental anomalies that may provide insight into Sith Eternal scientific practices, experimental methodologies, technological development, and attempts to circumvent conventional biological limitations.
All recovered material is to be treated as historically significant but potentially hazardous. The expedition is not authorized to replicate, activate, or experiment upon unidentified Sith technology or biological material without scientific and command approval.
The ultimate purpose is the preservation and understanding of lost knowledge, allowing the Mahporeem Imperial Science Division to determine what, if anything, survived the destruction of Exegol; and whether those remnants possess legitimate scientific value or represent dangers best left buried among the ruins.
Expedition Objective II: Sith Artifact and Technology Recovery
The second objective of the Exegol expedition is to locate, identify, document, and secure any surviving Sith artifacts, technologies, weapons, data repositories, or other material associated with the Sith Eternal, Sith, or Darth Sidious. Recovered items are to be assessed for historical, technological, and strategic value before being transferred into secure Imperial custody.
Where an artifact possesses limited scientific or strategic utility, controlled sale or exchange may be considered, provided such disposition does not place the material into the hands of hostile Sith-aligned factions or other parties capable of exploiting its properties.
The overarching objective is containment through Imperial stewardship. Sith relics must be prevented from returning to those who would use them to perpetuate Sith domination, while also avoiding unnecessary destruction by Jedi authorities who may regard such objects as inherently corrupt and therefore worthy of immediate annihilation.
To the Imperial Science Division, knowledge and technology are neither inherently sacred nor inherently forbidden; they are resources requiring responsible custody. If these remnants of the Sith Eternal must exist, then they are safer in Imperial hands, where they may be studied, contained, or, when appropriate, removed from circulation entirely.
