- Well Rounded: The Nimbus Pattern Armor is built with a jack of all trades intention in mind. Given the nature of those who will wear the armor, the need to be able to protect against a wide variety of threats was deemed necessary. Wearers of the Nimbus armor can expect to have a decent chance at survival in most contemporary combat scenarios.
- Internal Support: The Nimbus armor is capable of being entirely sealed off from the environment, allowing the user inside to survive with internal life support systems for short periods of time. This allows the wearer to survive in various environments and sudden airborne changes at a moments notice.
- Timer: While capable of being fully sealed from the environment, the Nimbus armor has a poor power supply. The wearer is only able to remain fully sealed off from the elements for a maximum of one hour, before the armor will begin to lose power and shut off the life support. The wearer is then forced to either open their armor back to the world around them, or suffocate inside.
- Lightsaber: The Nimbus armor is not well suited to resist lightsaber based weaponry. Its protection is geared towards high velocity, high impact damage, and the slower moving strikes of lightsabers or other melee weaponry poses a significant risk.
The Nimbus Pattern Armor is the first result of Emorin Tain's goals of establishing a power base for himself in Wild Space. With the refugee crisis on the world of Copero, Emorin was able to find those willing to work with him in creating a powerful presence. Contractors were found, labor was secured, and the first sets of armor were produced to arm the fledgling organization that Emorin Tain has begun to build.
