New member looking to get started

So as the title suggests, I'm brand new to the site, and only recently managed to get my character bio up and running (somewhat). So, while I procrastinate finishing up the final photo edits, research, and other boring work, I was hoping to meet some new people and get my feet on the ground. I'm still not quite sure where to go, but this seems as good a place to start as any!

I'm really willing to go with any suggestions, be they factions (although I'm still not 100% on how those work, to be honest), smaller threads, development, or anything long-term. Like I said, I want to jump right in, and it'd definitely be a great experience to meet some new people on the board! Additionally, if you have any suggestions where I might be better off finding what I'm looking for, or getting involved, I'd appreciate that a lot. Thanks!

Absolutely none. Then again, maybe that'd be for the best - I'd be able to flesh out the character through writing, and really let him develop organically; let the situations create who he becomes, rather than trying to build situations artificially to suit where I'd like him to go.

I would recommend joining some public threads, and get started with working the character out. personality, quirks, how he reacts to others..

Nice bio! Your character looks very interesting.

Since we don't have "plotters" on Chaos you could always pick a few characters who seem like-minded or in direct conflict and message them with some ideas. I personally respond to every PM I get and often pick up new Rps that way.

Hey I have a Sith Lord that attacks allies and enemies in equal measure.

A Renegade Soldier with nothing to lose.

A Mandalorian that will fight anyone for any reason just to get into a fight.

A Senator and Pilot with authority issues, is slightly narcissistic, and a complete egomaniac.

A Jedi walking a thin line between neutral and dark ready to snap at any moment.

My persona favorite however is my Light side Jedi that has pissed off and alienated pretty much every Jedi Order in the entire Galaxy.


Never a dull moment.

Certainly sounds like it. It'd be a hell of a time trying to pick between them all, they all sound incredibly interesting; I'll run with your judgement, though - your personal favorite does sound like he'd make for an excellent roleplay!

Up to you man If you want to be dark and Chaotic with a like minded mentor The Sith Lord (Vengeance) is the best bet.

If you want to be dark and chaotic with an enemy to fight then the Light side Jedi (Soryn) is your man.

If you want be be a Soldier and be Chaotic the Mando (Cole) is your man.

All three are very viable options.

So many options! I'd definitely love to have an enemy, but there'd probably be a rather staggering gap in ability there; sure, I'd like to think Noviac is capable ... but right now, he's little more than a thug with a chip on his shoulder.

I definitely like the idea of a mentor roleplay - I'd definitely go with Vengeance. Though, one day, I'd very much like to roleplay with your Jedi! At least, when we're on relatively equal ground.

Howdy. If you're interested in a faction, might have something for you. The Shrouded Republic is a new faction that some of us here have set up. We're basically a nomadic fleet of refugees at this point and we're looking towards setting up a republic with a twist-type of faction, with a lot of corruption, backroom political deals, plots, assassinations, that sort of thing.
