SETTING INFORMATION

- Rift Name: The Blood Fissure
- Rift Alignment: Dark
- Location: This Rift is located in Outer Rim space as shown in the image above.
- Destination: This Rift leads to a remote area in the Netherworld that provides no area of tactical advantage. It will always be on the edge of the Netherworld's reaches, and considering the Netherworld is probably an ever growing place, it can not be said for sure, except a random location near the edges.
- Direction: This Rift is one way only.
- Size: Large
- Accessibility: Technically, this Rift is in the middle of space, anyone can get here, but without knowledge it actually exists, one would have to rely on luck to simply come across it.
- Description: The Blood Fissure resembles that of a nebula gases with gold and black mixed dark red highlights everywhere. The dark red highlights resemble lighting as it crackles across this nebula looking body, seemingly moving about. There is a small swirl happening, coaxing the gold and black to be consumed by the center of what looks like a sun. This sun looking center is the actual entry way of the Rift.
Hostility: While not entirely meant to be hostile, the effect of the rift can be considered damaging either long term or short, while not common, it can be fatal depending on the person's constitution.
IC Rules: While transitioning the Blood Fissure, writer's should take into consideration how their characters would react to suddenly feeling as though a large amount of blood has been taken almost all at once from their body. Effects can include but are not limited to; fatigue, nausea, light headed, physical weakness, fainting, going pale in skin color, headaches, and fevers. There is a high risk of ships of great population to become almost useless upon exiting the rift. Star Destroyers that exceed the size of the Imperial Standard will not fit. Each ship of the max size will have to go one at a time, while smaller ships can enter with more. For example a ship half the size of the Imperial Standard could probably enter two at a time, with the amount doubling or tripling depending on sizes. Characters should also understand that this rift will always send them anywhere on the outskirts of the Netherworld that does not provide a tactical advantage to the "Map Game".
RIFT EFFECTS
Transitioning into this rift happens within a matter of minutes, but within those minutes, it feels as though anyone and everyone passing through has given a liter or more of blood, causing nausea, light headed, physical weakness, fainting, going pale in skin color, headaches, fever, various other flu like symptoms, and exhaustion.
POINTS OF INTEREST
This Rift itself is the only point of interest, while anyone can fly in and through the nebula looking field, there is nothing of special remark on than the beauty of the Rift.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Blood Fissure is an original Rift created when the first ones appeared during the Netherworld event, however, due to its remote location it has been almost completely hidden up to now. It resides almost outside known space within the Outer Rim, and is said to be created through all the blood spilt by the techno god OMNI. This Rift is believed to be the true entryway into the Netherworld has it leads straight to outskirts of that realm, though it is random in location every time. The most important factor about this Rift is just how large it is, being in just enough diameter that a single Star Destroyer of average width and height being capable of passing through. Granted, because of the effects of this Rift, it is highly possible that a crew of a ship that size could be rendered useless for sometime after passing through.
