DESCRIPTION
The Nebula-class frigate is based on the old Nebulon B vessel utilized by the Empire and later the Rebel Alliance centuries ago. Modernization, redesign, and hardened systems make the Nebula-class frigate a much more balanced and battle-ready vessel. Utilizing systems and weapons from many of the Directorate companies the Nebula-class offers the latest in technology making it a must-have for any organization's fleet.

Built with the basic shape of the original but reinforces throughout the vessel the Nebula-class is much better defended and built than the original giving it a much longer lifespan on the battlefield.

A very small hanger is positioned just forward of amidships opening from both the starboard and port sides. This hanger housing a squadron of small fighters, generally TIE variants which are stored on a single rack at the rear of the hanger. A secondary hanger is located above the main hanger housing one shuttlecraft which opens to the dorsal hull. The hanger is too small for freighters to land making it necessary for craft over 15 meters to dock on one of the various docking rings along the central spire connecting the fore and aft sections.

Armament includes a triple mounted and two single mounted Heavy Long-Range Turbolaser cannons on the forward prow of the vessel with a limited 90 degree forward firing arc. Dual turbolasers line the hull giving the frigate some anti-capital firepower to her broadsides. The main weapon systems of the Nebulon-class are her defensive weapons. These powerful laser batteries and countermeasure batteries give the Nebula-class a formidable defensive weapons suite able to engage and defend itself and its escorting vessels.

I like the updated looks of this! We got two issues though.

Image Source needs to go to the Art Station page to where this is done. Primary Source is for things like the Nebulon-B Frigates that it is based on or previous ships made like it from your own company.

Length: 300 meters

  • Hangar Space: Low
  • Hangar Allocations:
    • Starfighters: 1 squadron
    • Support Craft: 1 Shuttle
200m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 0 | Average: 1 | High: 2 | Very High: 3 | Extreme: 4 ]
That is your actual size. Please fix, I cannot do a ratings check till this is repaired.

Let me know when you done the required changes.

The ship is 300 meters. I split the difference between 200 and 500 If you guys are going to be so picky about submissions that you can not adapt and adjust then the system is broken and needs to be fixed. It makes no sense for a ship bigger than 200 meters to be able to spit the difference. That is just silly. If one has to be so picky as to use one of the listed ratings then a middle level needs to be made between 200 and 500.

Primary source link modified.

The ship in question is 300m, which is actually closer to 200 than it is to 500, splitting the difference would have resulted in a submission which is 350m in length. However, the template only has a rating for 200m and 500m. As such, those are the only ratings that are taken into account at this time.

The correct place to bring up this point is in a new topic in the factory discussion, not in the submission which is under review. If you believe a middle rating is needed, then please make such a topic.

Also, please remember that the Factory Judges are volunteers who give of their precious free time to review these submissions. While I understand that you might disagree with a ruling, or have a different opinion on how the system should work, please do keep in mind that they are volunteers and treat them accordingly.

Please adjust the hangar to meet the template and I'll be happy to approve this submission for you.

I do not mind correcting my question is why does every other ship classification have at least 3 separate divisions for hanger size but the Frigate only has 2? the limitations on the creation of ships are hurt by not being able to vary the hanger size more in the frigate cases. There should be a 350 or something like that in between the 200 and 500 sizes. that is the smallest and largest a frigate can be. like I said every class but frigate has at least 3 sizes. as I said I will modify this but it is something the Facotry staff should discuss because it is limiting to the creation of medium-sized frigates. Please discuss maybe adding in a medium level of hangar space to the frigate template. 350 would be wonderful.

I lowered the defense to average and boosted the hanger back to average will this be good?
