- Sith Camouflage Veil: Bends light and local perception fields through veilstone and layered shadow-silk fibers, smearing the starfighter's presence and profile.
- Electronic Distortion Field: Emits corrupted feedback pulses and interference bursts that degrade enemy sensor acuity and targeting reliability.
- Cognitive Ghosting Matrix: Creates afterimages and false visual echoes in enemy sensor feeds and HUDs, mimicking a "shimmering" or "dislocated" craft.
- Field-Bleeding Array: Allows distortion effects to subtly bleed into nearby space, temporarily warping perception for multiple enemy vessels.
- Sith Synchronization Uplink: Pairs with Sith energy cores, Soulfire Reactors, and Psicom systems to scale distortion intensity with pilot focus and battle stress.

- Distortion Defense: Targeting systems struggle to lock onto ships equipped with the Abyss-Wake during active maneuvering due to its space-warping effects.
- Evasion Enhancement: Visual "smearing" and cognitive interference make it harder for enemy pilots to visually track the craft, especially in dogfights.
- Synergistic Integration: Functions best when paired with Sith energy cores or sensory arrays, enabling advanced Kainate systems to maximize effectiveness.
- Passive Stealth Benefit: While not a true cloaking device, the unit grants mild stealth functionality in chaotic or dark-space environments through perception warping.

- Not Full Invisibility: This system does not make the ship invisible—skilled observers or high-end sensors can still track movement and emissions with effort.
- Power Hungry: Requires constant power draw from the ship's primary or secondary reactor to sustain full distortion effects during intense maneuvers.
- Overload Risk: Prolonged activation while under stress can overheat the veil crystal arrays, disabling the system temporarily.

The Nazrûl Disruption Core Mk. I is the newest optical distortion and electronic warfare system developed, forged through the Sith science of the Kainate to veil their starfighters in illusion, interference, and dread.
Designed for starfighters and other support craft, the system doesn't rely on traditional cloaking technology. Instead, it uses a fusion of veilstone crystals, ritual-infused filaments, and Dark Side frequency modulation to bend light, distort sensor feedback, and confuse both pilot and machine. When activated, the starfighter appears "off", its outline blurred, its trajectory uncertain, and its sensor signature fragmented across multiple ghost vectors.
Unlike total invisibility, this device emphasizes distortion over absence. Enemy HUDs flicker with ghost-shadows of the fighter, and pilot eyes register movement where none is. In fast-paced combat, the Nazrûl Disruption Core gives Sith pilots the illusion of phasing unpredictably across the battlefield, reducing targeting precision and creating hesitation in enemy reaction timing.
Its full potential is realized when used in tandem with Sith sensory systems like the Nightfang Visor, Ebon Psicom Array, and Soulfire Reactor Node. These systems amplify the field's distortion based on pilot reflex, emotional intensity, and combat stimulus, letting the pilot bleed fear into the machine.
It is not a cloak of silence, but a cloak of madness. A smearing of the veil, a twist in the lens of reality itself. The Nazrûl Disruption Core Mk. I doesn't hide the fighter, it makes the enemy doubt what they see.
