Mykel Fellheart

Name: Mykel Fellheart
Faction: Eternal Empire
Rank: Commander
Species: Human
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 150 lbs
Eyes: Green
Hair: Black
Skin: White
Force Sensitive: Yes

Strengths:
Master Scholar (+) - Mykel is the truest description of a master scholar. He has a genius level intellect, has read enough books to fill most libraries, and is skilled in research and investigation.

Master Tactician (+) - As a subset of his intelligence, Mykel is a skilled tactician both on the battlefield and off. He is clever and quick-witted, capable of running circles around lesser minds whether they be enemy ship captains or antagonistic aristocrats.

Master Fencer (+) - Despite not being at all physically imposing, Mykel is a skilled fencer, able to handle a blade with impressive speed and precision.

Sociopathic Tendencies (o) - The challenges of his young life have left a bit of a scar on Mykel. He struggles with emotions and social connections, often acts on his own volition with little care for himself or those beneath him, has a one-way mind when it comes to his own agendas, and has no problem with manipulating people to get what he wants.

Scholar's Build (-) - Though a skilled fencer, Mykel has little if any true physical strength. Being committed to the battlefield of the mind, he is the kind of person that a drill sergeant would describe as needing to keep away from strong winds.

Weak Constitution (-) - A plague that has haunted him for his entire life, Mykel 's weakness of body goes beyond physical strength. He is prone to suffering illnesses, feels the effects of toxins more readily than others, and, though remarkably resilient to attacks on his psyche, would likely crack under physical interrogation long before a more sturdy being.

Untrained in the Force (-) - Though Force-sensitive, Mykel has little care for expanding his Force abilities beyond those that aid him in his scholarly and/or tactical pursuits. He knows basic Force techniques, and is slowly growing his knowledge of Force alchemy, but would be no match for a fully trained Force adept if facing one on the battlefield.

Appearance:
Slightly above average height, skinny, with short, slightly wavy black hair and piercing green eyes. Face is long and angular, and he always wears a pair of thin-rimmed glasses. Is most often dressed in a standard Eternal Navy officer's uniform, with a BAR-58 blaster pistol holstered on his right hip and a Lucius-pattern bayonet holstered on his left.

Personality: Mykel is an aloof individual, seemingly bothered by nothing and always one step ahead of everyone else. He is aware of his genius, and has a tendency to talk down to his subordinates, and show the barest possible respect to his superiors. The only things that cause him to break his cool are battle, especially on a grand scale, and the pursuit of knowledge. Mykel hungers both to use his intellect and to expand it, and relishes in opportunities both to overcome his enemies tactically, and to discover new bits of lore to add to his ever-expanding collection. The only things Mykel ever shows affection towards are his collection of texts and artifacts, which he guards carefully even while on campaign through an army of curator droids, and Magnus, his pet Corellian sand panther that has been genetically engineered to be smaller and lack the poison claws of its wild contemporaries.

Background:
Mykel Fellheart was not the kind of person many expected to strive for greatness. Though born into nobility as the son of a Baron, he was in many ways a great disappointment. Skinny, nervous, and prone to illness, with his nose almost perpetually stuck in a book, he was a stark contrast from his parents, both of whom were high-ranking, decorated officers in the Eternal Navy. His childhood was harsh, as his father and mother tried everything they could to turn their twig of an only-child into a respectable Imperial aristocrat. Try as they might, however, nothing seemed to work. Mykel failed spectacularly at physical training, showed no talent for politics, and was downright shameful at even the simplest of social functions. His parents were overjoyed when it was revealed that Mykel was Force-sensitive, as they hoped it might finally be something at which he might excel. Unfortunately for them, Mykel showed little aptitude, and his private instructors assured them that he would never advance beyond the basics.

In their despondence that he would never be like them, his parents failed to notice the true growth that was happening right under their noses. It was true that Mykel was no Herculean specimen, but the boy's young mind was sharper than his father's Imperial saber. Among his classmates at the elite private military academy his parents insisted he go to, Mykel quickly gained a reputation for his unparalleled shrewdness, implacable resilience, and, surprisingly enough, his steely cold-heartedness. As it turned out, spending an entire childhood being told that you aren't enough does some pretty devastating things to a child's psyche. Furthermore, the more and more Mykel advanced in his studies, the more and more people, including his parents, began to realize the truth behind his failures. Indeed, it wasn't a lack of capability that had caused him to fail.

It was a lack of interest.

Upon entering his college years, Mykel opened the proverbial floodgate, and he opened it wide. In his first training simulation as an officer cadet, he defeated his teacher so severely that the man was demoted and forced to rewrite the entire scenario. His knowledge of Eternal Navy ships and technologies was encyclopedic, and he was captain of the fencing club by his sophomore year. Beyond military education, Mykel obtained a doctorate in Archaeology, writing a thesis paper on Force-related artifacts. It was also revealed during this time that he had purposefully neglected his Force training, believing it useless, and was in all actuality no less gifted than any Sith or Jedi.

Upon his graduation, Mykel's stunning performance and his parent's connections allowed him to rise rapidly, being promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander by the age of twenty-four. Sometime later, during his service aboard the CR90 Mk VIII Assault Corvette Glory's Advent, the ship was attacked by Maw forces in deep space, resulting in the death of the captain. Mykel took over command, masterfully directing the wounded vessel and crew not only to escape the area, but cause near-crippling damage to the Maw flagship. Upon returning to Eternal Empire space, Mykel was promoted to commander and given the captainship of the Glory's Advent. With the blessing of the Eternal Navy, Mykel took his new warship and faithful crew and began his newest adventure, the goal of which, not even he truly knew.
