My Deja Vu

There were some plans in motion for Jairdain and she needed a few special supplies. If there was anything she knew about what she needed it was Darben wouldn't be able to acquire them for her. They were anything illegal or anything, just not something a general merchant would be able to order.

It had been many years since she had even thought of the people that helped her learn of the galaxy, but now she did. Old numbers, contacts and connections that had been almost forgotten were pulled up in front of her and she reached out. Finally one worked and she got into contact with somebody she did not know or remember. However, he said could accomplish what was needed and agreed to deliver the items to Commenor.

Giving him a location in town to meet her for the exchange, Jairdain now waited for Jorge to appear.

It was maybe not some place the advisor normally frequented, but the cantina was not a run down location. Almost nothing on Commenor was and it was something she liked. Even if she could not see how well kept things were, Jairdain picked up on the emotions of the people and they were over all happy. If conditions were different, they would not be happy. So it meant to her, things were well kept and there was no much poverty here.

Wearing something that was common from her own people, she was unique in the crowd. Not standing out too much as the colors were of an earthy tone, the design was special. Her pants were lose in the leg and tapered down as they went to her ankles. Her boots were a light brown and pants were an orange-brown. The light blue top was slimming at her waist and looser up at her shoulders.

Her hair was down and flowed naturally to the middle of her back. She sat waiting for her contact to show up so they could finalize their deal. Arrangements for delivery would follow.

Jorge walked down the ramp of his freighter. The navigation beacon had brought him and his co-pilot to port outside of a busy cantina on Commenor. Jorge had his companion stay on the ship and guard the shipment as he went to find the receiver.

Jorge followed a discreet tracking device to a local cantina, when he was at the entrance he turned off the device and went inside to find his client.

Jorge found himself inside a dimly lit bar area with neon lights, although it was dark he eventually made his way to where his client was sitting and he sat down across from her. As Jorge sat down he smiled and said "So how much are your guys paying me again?" He leaned forward with his arms supporting him on the table, he didn't seem to recognize the woman.

Not knowing who the contact was that was be meeting her at the cantina, Jairdain could only hope he would be able to find her. When a person sat down across from her, she sensed he was slightly familiar. Like they had met before, but she couldn't place when or how. In her position of advisor, she didn't feel they had met in any of the diplomatic meetings.

He didn't waste any time getting to business and asked how much she was paying him.

"There isn't so much as guys involved, just me. I am Jairdain Ismet for your records if you need to keep them. Here is the list of items I ordered and the prices you had quoted me for full delivery. Were you able to acquire everything?"

The items were some things a general merchant could get, but others were a little more scarce and harder to find. If somebody were look at the list, they might think she was planning a camping trip, but not everything would be needed for that purpose. If he didn't give much thought as to the order, then he wouldn't question why Jairdain might need some of the items.

Placing on the table a datapad, it was pulled up on there the list and prices like she said, but because she was without sight, it was faced in her general direction and not his. If he looked closely, he would notice her eyes were violet in color, but totally unfocused. That lack of vision had never given her muscle control of her eyes. Luckily they did not roll around in her head, but that non-focus would sometimes make a person uncomfortable.

Jorge reached his hand across the table to grab the data pad. He slid it over and turned it so it was facing himself. Jorge hadn't given much thought the odd placement of the pad.

Jorge swooned at the details on the data pad. "For how much all this equipment comes out to, you bet I got everything. All of the items are inside my ship in the local port." He looked up from the pad and beamed. "So.. are you going on som-"

Jorge was staring at the woman's eyes, they seemed to be the eyes of someone he used to know. Jorge gave her a confused look still not knowing that she couldn't see his expressions. "I'm sorry Miss.. Do I know you from somewhere?"

[member="Jairdain"]

Hearing him take the datapad to look over the list and the prices they had agreed on before, Jairdain sat back a little to allow him the time needed. He assured her he had picked up everything she asked for and she could tell Jorge was happy with his accomplishment.

Giving him a small smile as if she could read his mind, she answered his unspoken question.

"Something like a camping trip, yes. I'm going into unfamiliar territory and have no real clue what is or isn't going to be needed. I think I covered everything I'm going to need though. Unless you can think of anything else...?"

Her own was a question, but not totally finished since she wasn't sure what else she might need to go into the Netherworld.

As he looked at her, she felt his focus shift from the datapad to her. It took him a moment and he seemed confused about something. Maybe it was similar to how she felt when he sat down. The feeling she had met him before, but not where or how.

"It is possible. What is your name? The contact information I used was from many years ago and that person is no longer around. You answered instead."

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge moved the data pad out of the way, he leaned forward with his arms on the table. He was studying the woman's face to try and remember her fully, all that was actually familiar about her was her eyes.

"My name is Jorge Mek, who was the contact you were trying to get a hold of? So you weren't trying to get a hold of me in the first place?" A annoyed expression came over his face he tried to remember her by her name. "Miss, I don't recall any Miss Ismet's from my previous jobs." He sighed, and sat straight up again. "Anyways I couldn't give you any advice for you trip if I don't know where you're going, and I don't want to pry." Jorge had decided to get back to buisness unless she could remember how they knew each other.

Very soon after Jairdain had been banished from her home and she had lost everything, she had been picked up by a small frieghter crew. With them had been a boy a few years younger than her. Together they had learned about the galaxy from this crew and after learning of the Jedi and Sith from them, they had dropped her off on Voss to join the Jedi.

The name of that boy had been Jorge and the memory of him came to the surface. Since she was blind, her memory of him had been more his personality than looks. In the five years since they had dropped her off, she had changed, but not so much that teenage girl was totally gone. It was similar with him. Back then he had been impulsive and jumped into situations that caused him to get in over his head. Much to the amusement of the crew at times.

"I think travelled together when we were younger. The captain I was trying to contact was named Tumise Agnenta. Does that name ring a memory?"

A small hum started coming from her, something two kids might have come up with to make fun of another person. If it was familiar, maybe he would fill in the words.

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge sat up suddenly. "Oh! Jairdan, I'm sorry I forgot about you. I haven't seen you since Agnenta sent you off with the Jedi." He smiled and remembered those days, as he reminisced on the old memories, Jorge was snapped out of it by the familiar melodies that she hummed. "Do you remember the words, you always would make fun of me back then...."
He sighed and smiled at the memories "Anyways, I can start having my droid unload your equipment. Hey, we should keep in touch this time.." Jorge was already starting to get back to buisness, he grabbed the data pad and prepared to take her to his ship.

[member="Jairdain"]

"As I remember the words varied every time, but the tune remained the same. Hey, I never made fun of you."

Pointing at her eyes, Jairdain had been made fun of by the kids she had grown up with. Knowing what that felt like, it wasn't something she had done in her own turn. Luckily that captain had never learned or if he had never did anything about it.

"It's been a few years and each of us has changed."

She shared a little smile with him at those memories. The people that had guided them had taught them all they needed to get by, for the most part.

"What have you been doing in your time since we parted on Voss? My own life has been a rollercoaster. Jedi, then captured, rescued, returned to the Jedi. Captured again, this time by the sith for my mental abilities. I changed then, but eventually I made a return to the Jedi and they helped me get my head on straight again. After that, I was offered the position of advisor to the crown prince here on Commenor and have been here pretty much since then."

Not counting the year or so she was away with that prince and helping to turn him into the prince he was supposed to be. A former play boy, smuggler and gambler, he was now far more cut out for the role he needed to play.

"Oh I don't think the stuff should be unloaded here unless you have some sort of transport speeder or something. May have to get a taxi and have it moved to the palace that way."

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge chuckled "Well, I don't think my life story will be as interesting as yours but anyways.. A few years after you left, when I was fourteen I left the crew on Taris. I felt that I needed to experience the galaxy on my own. As I grew older on Taris, I made a small name for myself in the dueling rings. Then I saved up enough money from the duels to buy a ship and get off the planet. I found that the family I was abandoned by had all been killed. I moved on and ever since then I've been into "goods" transportation."

Jorge sighed at the memories of his past, then he looked up at her and smiled. "Well, Miss Jairdan I would usually charge but since you're an old friend, I could give you a lift and drop you off wherever you need the equipment unloaded." He grabbed the data pad and stood up from the table, ready to escort her out to his ship.

@Jairdain

"Something I have learned over time is everybody's life is interesting. You had something different happen to you that is interesting to me. I'm not a fighter, so if you and I were to ever have a spar of some sort, I am sure you would win. That being said, with the Force, I have some tricks I could use that would allow me to beat you. Not that I'm suggesting anything of the sort."

It seems he had parted with that old crew around the same time she had, just on a different location.

"I understand what it means to loose one's family. Sorry for your loss."

For her it had been her entire people, not just her family. It might be a detail he had forgotten.

"The destination would actually be Corellia, but there's no need to take me there. Commenor Palace would be fine."

Following his example, Jairdain stood up with him and waited for him to lead the way to his ship.

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge chuckled "I like how you think. I guess everyone's life is interesting. I don't think I would win a duel against a Jedi though. "

"Thank you.. I never cared about my father's death, but it was my mother's that shook me.." He was appreciative of her trying to console him. "Anyways all of that's in the past, so don't feel bad for me, I'm sure you felt the same way when you were seperated from your parents."

He started walking out of the cantina and towards the spaceport. As they approached the ship, the ramp of the ship dropped and a little tin trash can with blinking lights came flying down it. The S19 Astromech was doing circles around Jairdain, if she could understand droid she would've heard the droid saying things like: "Who's the lady? Is she the customer? You're aren't going to make her unload the stuff by herself like the last client right?" Jorge silenced the droid, "You talk way to much Segway.. She is the client, but she's also an old friend." He turned his attention to Jairdain "Excuse my droid, he has his own personality. It can get annoying sometimes." The S19 droid gave some protest to the statements. "Hey Segway just go chart a course for Corella." Jorge looked at Jairdain "I can take you the full way if you want, if not just let me or Segway know." The S19 droid had already started prepping the ship and the ships engines were firing up.

[member="Jairdain"]

"It's all about knowing what a person has for strengths and weaknesses. Think on me, I am physically blind, but if you remember use the Force to see things. However, take the Force away from me and I am a simple blind human."

The Force was her strength and weakness, being as reliant on it as she was, when it was taken, Jairdain was pretty helpless in many ways. Some of that had changed when she was captive of the Sith though. Deprived of the Force for many months with them, she had learned a great many things about living in darkness. Both physical, mental and through the Force.

She followed Jorge out to where his ship was and luckily the droid was beeping as it circled her or she would have run into it. It wasn't a living being with a Force presence so Jairdain could not 'see' it.

"He's ok. Not annoying at all to me. As for going to Corellia, I'm meeting my friends in Coronet City there."

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge nodded, "Make yourself at home, if you want to check the items you're welcome to, the cargo bay is there." He pointed through an open door, that contained an open space with crates and a containers cover with tarps. "Yell for me if you need me."
Jorge left her alone in the living area and went to the cockpit. Segway had already looked up the coordinates for Corella and all Jorge had to do was put in the numbers when he got there.

Jorge buckled up and he engaged the ships repulsors. The Sparrow lifted off with ease and Jorge positioned her towards the stars, he was about to try hyper driving out of the planets atmosphere. "Hold on to something! You might want to sit down." He yelled back down the hall, hoping she would hear him. With that Jorge slammed the acceleration lever fully forward and activate the hyperdrive. It usually took 5 seconds for it to kick in but it was overridden by the collision course detection program built into the navigations system. Jorge cussed and his moment of need for a spontaneous stunt had past. Jardains judgment of him having more control over his impulsiveness was apparently wrong.

Jorge decided to take them out of Commenor's atmosphere at full atmospheric speed. Once they were out in space, then Jorge activated Hyperspeed and they took off for Corellia

[member="Jairdain"]

He lead her into what would be called the common area of the ship and broadly motioned to where the items were she had ordered from him. Telling her to make herself at home, Jairdain would take the moments to become familiar with where she would staying for the most part. The ship was certainly smaller than what she was used to being in. Not that she expected everybody to have large ships.

His parting comment about yelling if she needed him was met with the wave of her hand and she disappeared into the quarters she thought would be hers. Hearing him holler back for her to hold onto something and take a seat, she did just that. Her being blind had caused her to have excellent ears and even though he cursed loud enough to himself to hear, she did too.

The rough take off never happened and she made her way to the cockpit once she heard the sound of the engine convert to hyperspace. Her hand trailed along the wall and would join Jorge if he let her in the cockpit.

"How long will the trip take?"

Not at all in a hurry, Jairdain was curious though.

[member="Jorge"]

The Dusty Sparrow was stabilized at hyperspeed and was following a strict path created by his S19 co-pilot.

Jorge didn't mind where Jairdan went on the ship and he greeted her when she entered. "Sorry for the false alarm earlier." He then answered her question, "Well, Segway says that it should only take about 20 minutes if we stay on course."

Jorge stood up from his chair, and started to leave the cockpit. "If you want to follow me I can show you around the ship." He trusted his droids judgement when it came to the Sparrow and thought he ought to entertain his guest.

[member="Jairdain"]

Being allowed to enter the cockpit was really nice and she took a seat next to Jorge. There was a surprised look on her face when he said the amount of time it would take.

"Wow, that's faster than I expected."

Being used to taking more than just herself along, Jairdain had forgotten how quick some ships travelled. That was okay though, it just meant her purpose for even going to Corellia could happen that much faster. She wasn't one to be in a hurry or rush things.

Nodding when Jorge offered to give her a tour of the ship, she stood up with him and fell into step next to him.

"That would be nice. Next time, I'll show you my ship."

[member="Jorge"]

The Dusty Sparrow was just that, it was indeed dusty. With a crew of only two the freighter could become unkempt easily. On the tour Jorge took her through only the best of his ship, which ended up being the ships lounge, the cargo bay, the ships turret chambers and the bathroom. The other rooms were very messy, most of the crew quarters were cluttered with storage items and any room that dealt with wires, had wires all over the place.

Jorge finished the tour with showing her were the escape pods just in case, after that they went back to the cockpit because the Sparrow would soon be approaching Corellia. Jorge motioned for Jairdan to take a seat and he took the Sparrow out of hyperspeed. The ship came out of hyperspeed just as they were entering the atmosphere above Cornet City, and Jorge turned to Jairdan for instructions. "Where would you want us to land?"

@Jairdan

As was typical for ship that only one person lived on and didn't have a crew to keep it clean, the ship was dusty. Jairdain smelled it in the air, the must of unused rooms that were filled for storage rather than use. Not holding this against Jorge at all, it might have been his way to pretend that maybe he wasn't so alone.

"Hopefully we won't need to jettison out of here."

She spoke with a smile and followed him back to the cockpit. Taking the seat that was offered, she was ready for the movement out of hyperspace.

"I would assume the spaceport at Coronet City. Then the meeting place is where the items need delivered."

Taking out that datapad from earlier, she also brought out a small device. It read to her what was on the screen and she was able to pull up the address of where to go on Corellia.

[member="Jorge"]

Jorge wouldn't have allow a situation to get so severe that they would have to use the escape pods on the Sparrow, he was way to connected to the ship, and he believed he could outrun anything with it.

"Yeah, hopefully.. I like this ship too much to abandon it."

The YT-2400 slipped through the clouds and glided down towards the city. The freighter flew close to the tops of the cities buildings as Jorge looked for the spaceport. A logical pilot would've stay up above the city and located the spaceport and then brought the ship down. But Jorge liked excitement, and one day all the risks he took would end up being his demise. Jorge located the spaceport and he had Segway lower the landing gear, once the landing gear was deployed, Jorge brought the ship down and landed it on an empty landing pad.

Jorge got up and beamed like a child, all that fancy flying wasn't need but he enjoyed performing it.

"Miss Ismet if you'll follow me, we can then unload your items." He didn't wait for her to respond, because he had already started walking to the cargo bay.
