Cloverfield monster, gotten from robbiekadal.blogspot.com

  • Name: Mwitu

  • Designation: Semi-Sentient (Almost as smart as a chimp)
  • Homeworld: Heklor
  • Language: Growls, grunts
  • Average height of adults: 1.4 meters
  • Skin color: Grey
  • Hair color: None
  • Breathes: Type I atmosphere

  • Strengths:
  • Intelligence: Mwitu are extremely smart, which makes them excellent pack hunters. They are known to ambush their pray, or remain hidden in the trees for a long period of time to give their prey the illusion that they are gone, before leaping from the trees to attack an unsuspecting animal.
  • Force sensitivity: Mwitu have evolved a form of force sensitivity comparable to that of a Jakobast- they can summon the force to their second pair of flipper-like 'arms', and project a small blast of burning energy forwards, similer to a very weak blaster bolt. This is extremely tiring for a Mwitu, and they must always rest for a long period of time afterwards. Due to this, they usually only use this ability when they are sure it will stun or severely injure their prey.. This blast is very weak, and typically can only kill prey if the prey is already severely injured, or ecpecially vunrable to blaster-like weaponry. Therfore, it's only used to stun their prey.
  • Agility: Mwitu are quick and agile creatures, adapted to traveling the treetops of Heklor's jungles.
  • Senses: As a predtatory species, Mwitu's senses are highly attuned- ecpecially their sense of smell. Although, this can work against them as well, as they can be stunned or killed by high frequency sounds.

  • Weaknesses:
  • Frail form: Mwitu are built thin and lanky, with very little fat and only muscle where it's needed, making them thin and frail. A good blow to any part of the body can easily kill a Mwitu, and a shot to the exposed sternum is an easy way to kill them.
  • Thin skin: Mwitu have oddly thin skin, making them prone to injury. What would amount to a papercut on a human, would make a decent cut on a Mwitu. What would amount to a cut, could become a deadly gash. This makes Mwitu prone to bruising, cuts, and injuries.
  • Fragile bones: Mwitu also have light bones in order to easily travel the treetops, which makes them fairly fragile. A good blow can easily shatter a Mwitu's bones.
  • Weak immune system: The Mwitu are prone to sickness, and can easily contract many of the same diseases as sentients. A common flue could kill a Mwitu easily.
  • Social beings: Mwitu are pack hunters, and extremely social. If one was to be seperated from his back, he would most likely succumb to depression and die. This makes taking Mwitu off-world extremely difficult.
  • Predator: Being a predtator, even the smallest injury to a Mwitu is a death sentance. If they're injured, they can't hunt. If they can't hunt, they can't eat. If they can't eat, they starve.

  • Distinctions: Mwitu are grey tree-dwelling creatures, with six limbs. The back and front limbs are used to four legged locomotion, as well as the front limbs used for gripping branches as they swing through the jungles of Heklor. The middle legs, though, are used solely for their force ability, and are extremely fragile. Their small head b oasts a large strong jaw filled with two rows of sharp teeth, perfect for shredding at prey, as well as large eyes.
  • Average Lifespan: 20 standard years
  • Races: None
  • Estimated Population: 2,000,000 roughly, on Heklor only.
  • Diet: Meat. Just about any living creature on Heklor. Chlorophyll is poisonus to them in large quantities, therefore all plants are poisonus.
  • Communication: Growls and grunts

  • Technology level: Cannot even use tools, let alone technology.

  • General behavior: Mwitu are pack hunters, living in packs containing between four and eight members, led by an 'Alpha'. They typically live in the lower canopies of Heklor, hunting creatures that live either in the canopy, or on the forest floor. Usually, a pack of Mwitu will ambush prey from the treetops, often stunning them with their force ability if it's small prey. If the prey is larger, The Mwitu will surround the pray in a stalking motion, and leap at it when it displays an opening. Mwitu are known to eat their prey while they're still alive.

  • History: Mwitu were used in the gladiatoral games of Ancient Mgena.

  • Notable Player-Characters: None
  • Intent: To populate Heklor, and provide a high ranking member of the Heklor food chain and ecology.

This all seems well thought out, and given the intention (and lack of potential for abuse) I'm fairly content.

I would, however, rather the force power was reduced to a stunning blast. Conjuring a Force Power that can kill straight up is usually something a Master can do.

[member="Mrrew"] - Hey! Raziel is off to swim with the fishes be a planets judge, so I will be taking over this submission for you.

Your submission still says that they can kill with this blast. What Raziel was asking was for you to reduce it to stun only with no capability to kill with it.

Basically edit these sentences to remove references to killing with the blast entirely. I would be fine with the stun blast killing only if the prey is already fatally injured and would die within a short while, anyway. So basically, edit this and this species should be good to go. :)
