OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a mutated subspecies.
  • Image Credit: Drawn by me in Photoshop
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Godoan
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Monarch Godoan
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Ord Providence
  • Average Lifespan: 80-100 years.
  • Estimated Population: Semi-unique.
  • Description: A mutated variation of the Godoan species resulted from a specific rare gene being exposed to the Clouzon-36 in Ord Providence's atmosphere. The mutation is purely visual, with the individual Godoan developing a pair of moth-like wings, which are far too small to support the body weight of the mutated individual.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.65 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Yellow
  • Hair color: Black or Raven
  • Distinctions: Godoans themselves have yellow skin and a pair of antennae-like sensory organs on their head. They have a much shorter stature than the average near-human. Along side this, Monarch Godoans have mutated to have a small pair of moth-like wings.
  • Force Sensitivity: Average
Strengths:
  • Sensory organs provide enhanced feeling.
  • Resilient despite their shorter stature.
Weaknesses:
  • Sensory organs can result in sensory overload when under too much stimulation.
  • Monarch Godoans have developed a pair of very useless wings. They cannot fly.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore
  • Communication: Basic
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs:
  • Deeply religious, much like the Godoans of Godo, the people of Ord Providence have completely centered their culture around the worship of the Godoan Goddess. Their society is separated by cast, with each rung below the church dedicated to the service of it. The Monarch Godoans, being from Ord Providence, subscribe to this culture as well.
The High Ones sit at the top of this social ladder, made up of those born into the religious circle of the planet. The Mighty Ones fall below them, serving as the planet's primary military and police force. The Guilded Ones sit towards the lower end of the ladder, a group of skilled craftsmen and lower officials. The Low Ones sit at the bottom, the ordinary folks who preform the majority of labor on Ord Providence. Marriages and certain rituals may change the cast of an individual or their offspring, but generally changing one's position is greatly frowned upon.
Despite this separated cast, health is of the highest priority, as fitness is valued for dedication to worship. Healthcare is free and laws have been put into place to ration out food to the least financially stable. This system has it's flaws, as medical equipment is generally lower quality for lower casts, and produce grown for rations is of low nutritional value. Corruption has also seen these recourses become far less available to those who need them.
The top percent of the High Ones, the High Elders, are considered to be ritually pure. As such, they are required to avoid contact with lower classes. Any who do are unable to remain High Elders and must step down to the regular High One status.
A secret dark side cult developed in the High Ones cast, a small group that dedicated themselves to the study of the dark side deep in the New House of the Goddess, where a force nexus lies.
  • General behavior: Highly religious, as all Godoans are, with a focus on the success of the family unit and fulfilling one's duty in life. In particular Monarch Godoans are seen as being blessed to some degree, which may see them elevated in their society's cast system, a rare occurrence. Most tend to be far more humble than the average Godoan, however, not wanting to gloat this blessing out of respect for their fellow man.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
A bizarre mutation caused by a reaction to Clouzon-36 by a rare gene, the Monarch Godoans are a highly uncommon sub-race of the Godoan people brought about by their migration to the planet Ord Providence. Only a handful ever live at any given time, which is a notable event in the popular culture of Ord Providence. Despite the mythology around this mutation, however, it is purely a cosmetic endowment, as the wings are too small to serve any real purpose. Those most likely to have the gene must have previously been exposed to Clouzon-36, which all citizens of Ord Providence are, following which the mutation will occur around the individual's teenage years. Individuals who have undergone this mutation recall at a later point in their lives that the process is rather stressful, resulting in a month long period of restlessness during this process.
