PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Kyr'bes Buy'ce
  • Affiliation: Iron Covenant
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: Mirshko'senaar Whistling Birds
  • Modularity: Can be fired from anything capable of firing regular Whistling Birds.
  • Production: Minor
  • Material: Tracyntium Alloy, carbon, quadranium, sonic emitter components, concussion charge components, pressure-reactive detonators, standard whistling bird guidance components.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Sonic-Concussion Whistling Bird
  • Size: Tiny
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Explosive Type: Sonic / Concussion
  • Delivery Method: Whistling bird launcher, Mandalorian vambrace launcher, or compatible micro-missile launcher.
  • Effective Range: Long Range
  • Area Of Effect: Small
  • Damage Output: Average

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sonic emitter warhead designed to release a violent pressure-wave burst.
  • Concussion charge for disorientation, knockback, and localized impact trauma.
  • Tuned to rattle armor, disrupt balance, damage exposed sensors, and punish targets hiding behind light cover.
  • Less dependent on heat, flame, or shrapnel than standard explosive birds.
  • Compatible with standard whistling bird guidance and targeting systems.

STRENGTHS
  • Armor Rattler: The sonic/concussion burst can shake armor plates, helmets, joints, optics, auditory sensors, and delicate internal components.
  • Crowd Breaker: A spread of Mirshko'senaar birds can disorient clustered infantry, stagger targets, ruin aim, and break defensive formations.
  • Cover Punisher: The pressure wave can affect targets behind light cover better than a simple dart impact or narrow explosive burst.
  • Force User Interruption: Sonic and concussion effects are harder to simply block like a blaster bolt, especially when the birds detonate nearby rather than striking directly.
  • Low Fire Risk: These do not rely on incendiary effects, making them safer around flammable environments than pyro birds.

WEAKNESSES
  • Hearing Protection Helps: Sealed helmets, sonic dampeners, audio filters, pressure seals, and specialized armor insulation can reduce the disorientation effect.
  • Disruption Over Lethality: These are better for stunning, staggering, and interrupting than killing heavily armored targets outright.
  • Environmental Limits: Vacuum, extremely thin atmosphere, or heavy sound-dampening materials can reduce the sonic component.
  • Close-Range Risk: The concussion wave can affect the user or allies if fired too close.
  • Heavy Targets Resist: Large creatures, vehicles, walkers, and massive armored targets may only be briefly disrupted unless struck by many birds.
  • Manual Reload: Once fired, launchers must be physically reloaded.

DESCRIPTION
The Mirshko'senaar Whistling Birds are sonic/concussion micro-missiles made to rattle the target's body, armor, senses, and balance rather than simply burn or pierce them. Each bird carries a tiny sonic emitter and pressure-based concussion charge that detonates into a sharp burst of sound and force.

Against infantry, they can cause ringing ears, vertigo, nausea, sensory overload, disrupted aim, and momentary loss of balance. Against armored targets, they are useful for shaking helmets, joints, sensors, optics, audio pickups, and delicate internal systems. While not as directly lethal as dedicated explosive birds, they are excellent for creating openings, breaking cover, interrupting concentration, and forcing an enemy to react.

They are especially useful when Mandalorians need a "get off me" or "stop aiming, stop advancing, stop concentrating" option without relying on fire, ice, blackout effects, or pure explosive force. Their biggest drawbacks are predictable: sonic protection, sealed helmets, sound dampening, vacuum, and sheer mass can all reduce their effect. The Mirshko'senaar birds are disruptive tools first and killing tools second.
