Miri was born on the "Storm-Side" of Pamarthe on a small island named Jubilee. She was raised by a pair of fish mongers and was taught to sail at an early age. By five she'd had her maiden voyage and 13 she'd earned her Honor Blade and won her fair share of small-time starfighter races. Having grown up in relative peace, she'd heard tales of the valiant Empire who had thrown off the yoke of the Sith. While there were plenty of tales of Galactic Alliance pilots there were few of Imperial pilots. She felt it would be a much larger challenge to become one of the Empire's Star Barons than to become an "ace" in the famed Revenant Squadron. And so when she turned fifteen with a few more years of racing under her belt she joined the Imperial Starfighter Corps leaving behind her simple life of fishing, farming, and racing behind. She "took the Black" as some Imps called it, donning the black space suit of their starfighter corps, a position that had a shorter life expectancy than even a 501st stormtrooper.
HISTORY
"Trooper's Lament"
Though the Galaxy enjoyed peace from the Maw, the Empire was anything but. Small insurrectionist movements popped up all over Imperial space. Arrogant Moffs whom decided that their meagre holdings could stand up to the mighty fist of the Empire. That fist though, was gripping too tightly and the Empire was falling apart. More and more she was out flying against rebels and warlords. Imperial fighting Imperial. It became monotonous to fly against her brothers and sisters. She lost so many friends it became routine. Somehow, she'd found herself serving one of these Warlords, her flagship turning against its own fleet in a pivotal conflict against a warlord in hotly contested Serrenno. For several months she flew for that warlord, setting fire to cities and destroying Imperial depots. She was given the title Baron by this warlord, the achievement bitter in her mouth.
She fled along with her squadron, hoping to lead them out of terror, hoping to find new lives in the Alliance. Only she survived. When she arrived in the Alliance she was a hollow shell. She was arrested for piracy and the possession of illegal contraband, her starfighter. She fell ill. Years of flying hard had finally caught up to her. Bloodburn. The prison doctors told her she would never fly again and that the fevers would take her life. Because she turned herself in and because of her exceptional behavior she was released early after only serving several months in an Alliance prison. She would spend time working on Corellia in the shipyards before scraping enough credits to buy and modify her own ship, a junker from the old Mandalorian-Sith wars.

Having earned enough credits to finally get off of Corellia, Miri takes to the stars. Inside her new ship she finds an old Mandalorian DD-6 droid that she names "Six". The bloodburn has been manageable. Despite her status as a felon in the Alliance, because of her parole she has gained access to a wealth of healthcare benefits that help pay for her medicine. She tries to do good by her parole officer, but shipping small loads throughout the Alliance just doesn't cut it... She's managed to secure trade licenses that give her access to fly the Hydian Way, allowing her to legally trade along that hyperlane despite her status as a felon.
