OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create Dresta’s first mining resource, a place her her sole vessel fit for it - The Role Model - will tread cautiously in her first business venture as she tries to scrape together enough ships to mine the raining Corusca gems before they’re lost to the deepest parts of the gas giant as well as enough vessels to defend such a wide area from people hoping to take advantage of her pitiful lack of resources to secure Coorimbus IV Mining Field #31 by poaching what is rightfully hers.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Mine Name: Coorimbus IV Mining Field #31
  • Material: Corusca Gems form in the planet’s atmosphere
  • Location: Coorimbus IV
  • Affiliation: Owner
  • Size: Massive
  • Population: Insufficiently Staffed
  • Profit: High (Maximum Potential)
  • Accessibility: De jure private access, de facto anyone that knows about it and has the right equipment can enter the area and illegally catch Corusca gems. Stashed away enough that usually only people in the mining industry - who have knowledge about gem mining and the Tapani Sector - will know about it.
  • Description: Coorimbus IV Mining Field #31 is a mining deed that spans from the top of the atmosphere to the core of the world across the western hemisphere of Coorimbus IV. Underdeveloped, it does not possess any constructed areas within or above the mining field that could provide mining, security, or any other option save for docking. The things that were there were abandoned, and fell into the core - getting crushed on the way down.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Central Command Array - The sprawling base of operations for the old, once-expansive mining operation that took place here. This docking and shipment array is armed with dozens of point defense weaponry, as well as some medium, rapid-fire turbolasers (12). It does not have sufficient crew to handle the gunnery of each, and many parts of the Central Command Array need repairs, improvements, or updates - including crew quarters. The shops on-board are also no longer active. The Central Command Array’s primary purposes are to act as the nerve control center for the mining operation, as well as hold and process the Corusca gems for shipment out to the wider galaxy. It survived because it was maintained by a host of dedicated droids.

SECURITY Medium - A dozen and a half modified Jedi hunter assassin droids serve as security and maintenance for the Central Command Array. They may no longer be able to kill Jedi solo, but they are capable of causing serious problems, and, with their familiarity of the ship, can selectively vent different areas as needed. They are noticeably in need of a new coat of paint, and will repair each other using scrap material from nonfunctional parts of the Central Command Array. They will not listen to anyone except the owner, and those appointed in their stead. When no organics are present, they revert back to accepting commands from their lead droid.

  • Security Alarms
  • Internal Security Guns
  • Internal Defensive Shielding System
  • Armory - Stashed with old weaponry from 837 ABY, which is the last time the array had anything touched

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Coorimbus IV Mining Field #31 was once the crowning jewel of a self-made merchant family. The line had long died out, and the deed? It was thought lost to time, but on a chance one of Dresta’s servants bid on a blind storage box they could sense a Kyber crystal within - hoping to solidify their position in the eyes of Dresta, and find a more permanent home amongst her personal household. The deed for this mining field was within that storage box. Instead of keeping their trophy for themselves, they gave it to their Lord Dresta, in a sign of absolute loyalty - something encouraged by having been raised by the Cult of Dresta since being orphaned.
