- Combination of a Nebulon-B2 frigate, a Quasar Fire-class cruiser and an Acclamator-class assault ship
- Experimental paint scheme is designed to break up the silhouette of the ship, theoretically making it more difficult to target
- Carrier: For a ship of its size, the MIN Fool's Errand holds a large complement of starfighters and support ships, numbering 56 vessels in total
- Small: The Fool's Errand is a relatively small starship, making it more difficult for enemy units to target in battle
- Armored: The Fool's Errand is quite heavily armored and well defended for a ship of its size, as it possesses a range of electronic warfare subsystems
- Atmospheric: The Fool's Errand is capable of maneuvering within a planet's atmosphere and landing on a planet's surface without the use of specialized equipment
- Automated: Much of the ship is heavily automated, allowing the vessel to operate with a much reduced crew, saving space for additional troops, vehicles and supplies
- Experimental paint scheme: The Fool's Errand is painted in an experimental pattern that theoretically makes it more difficult for enemy units to visually target the ship
- Underarmed: Even with the upgrades received from the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, the Fool's Errand is rather underarmed by modern standards
- Maintenance heavy: The Fool's Errand maintains the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier's vulnerability to receiving microfractures over extended periods of times, requiring frequent repairs and maintenance
- Middling performance: The Fool's Errand has both a speed and maneuverability rating of "average", giving the ship rather mediocre performance overall, though this can be somewhat mitigated with the vessel's SLAM and AIMS subsystems
- Automated: Since much of the ship is heavily automated, this leaves the ship with a much smaller than using crew, leaving it vulnerable to boarding actions and making it more difficult to respond to internal malfunctions and emergencies
- Experimental paint scheme: While the ship's paint scheme may make it more difficult to target visually, it does nothing to protect against automated targeting systems
The MIN Fool's Errand, like many ships in service with the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, is based on a centuries old design. Though the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier has served the Imperial Remnant admirably, the ship is quite simply outclassed by more modern designs in service throughout the galaxy. As such, in order to make the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier more competitive, the Imperial Remnant has contacted the N&Z Umbrella Corporation to provide the ship class with a number of experimental upgrades.
The first model to receive these upgrades is the MIN Fool's Errand, a ship often tasked with assisting
Of course, the Fool's Errand greatest asset is her large complement of starfighters and support ships. Thanks to the automated systems installed aboard the vessel, the Fool's Errand is capable of holding a total of 56 ships within her hangar, giving the Fool's Errand the ability to bring a large amount of starfighter support to any battle she might find herself participating in.
It is hoped that all remaining Nebulon Fire-class Light Carriers can be modified to these new specifications, though doing so remains a costly and time consuming process. Only time will tell if the upgrades aboard the Fool's Errand justifies her existence, though she continues to see extensive service against the foes of
