Rex was looking at the militias of all the systems and decided that ministry of science needed there own militia. So he began designing a bunch of new vehicles, droids, weapons and Armour that any system can use for there own militia.
The APC requires no gunner so the pilot is able to fire the blaster cannon. The blot from the cannon is purple. By doing so he made it so they could fit 10 people or droids aboard the APC.
However Mines will destroy the APC without a second chance due to the wheels that it uses to get around on. However thanks to the Ionic shielding it isn't affected by ion type weapons and the ablative armour means that it can take most blaster bolts.
