SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The most advanced feature of the Mistryl Shadow Guard Under-armor is the Lightning Gloves. The suit is designed to work in conjunction with a favored weapon, the Shock Whip, and has notable resistances to the weapon. Lightning is readily dissipated over the suit through interwoven faraday cage mesh above spunplast infused armorweave and spidersilk to diffuse the energy along the length of the body and redristribute the energy back to the gloves with which the cage is linked to.
  • The layers of superstretch durafiber make the suit capable of space travel, but does little more than protect against the vacuum of space without any protection from the cold or other effects of space. Any pierces or tears in the suit will ultimately nullify this rather limited boon as well.
  • Due to the superstretch durafiber layers, when paired with a helmet, the user can survive for a limited duration in space with the proper seals. This is namely a last ditch or emergency protocol situation and is not advised for habitual use for wear and tear purposes.
STRENGTHS

Energy - A high resistance to energy weapons is gained through the use of mixing Armorweave, shell spider silk, and spun-plast to offer some protection to the wearer.
+ Kinetic - A high resistance to kinetic weapons is gained through the use of mixing Armorweave, shell spider silk, and spun-plast to offer some protection to the wearer.
+ Lightning - A noted resistance of the suit through the use of Lightning Gloves, the suit is easily resistant to their favored weapon, and used to enhance their hand to hand combat through this resistance.
+ EMP/ION - The inlaid faraday cage mesh atop spun-plast of the body suit helps to resist the effects of such attacks by diffusing the energy of these attacks in a similar manner as lightning and energy weapons.
WEAKNESSES
- Heat - While the suit can resist a number of weapons, one of its major downfalls is the heat generated as a by-product of these resistances. Lightning and energy weapons transfer this by-product heat throughout the suit by diffusion, leading to overheating of the wearer and potential health risks of continued overheating while in the suit. Ultimately leading to a slow death with prolonged exposure.
- Lightsabers - While able to resist a glancing blow at best, the materials offer little resistance to these exotic weapons and are readily defeated by it.
- Sonic - With no resistances to offer, this form of attack is highly efficient at countering this under-armor.
- Under-armor - It is just that. Under-armor. Dependence on this to fend off sustained or heavy weapon attacks will lead to a quick demise as it is produced to be a supplemental form of armor to aid another. As a standalone, it will ultimately fail in this task.
DESCRIPTION
A simple design for a general purpose suit was sought out and found in this. It requires no fancy bells and whistles as the Mistryl Shadow Group puts more stock in their trained abilities than cheap tricks and gimmicks. The focus of the under-armor was to provide the group with a simple but flexible suit that allowed them to use their favored tool of the trade more freely without sacrificing their speed or maneuverability. One added caveat was the ability to conceal the suit beneath civilian clothing, and the suit accomplishes this with little effort through its minimalistic nature.
