BIOGRAPHY:
In ancient years past, Meric Nadun was known as the Sith Lord Darth Locura. He devoured women, destroyed worlds, and left a wake of death and destruction in a chaotic path behind him. No one was ever able to discern what his goal was, or if he even had one, as he merely did whatever he wished to do, whenever he wished to do. Over time, however, he simply disappeared from all galactic recognition. No one was quite sure what happened, but most were happy that he was gone. The monster was away and the children could once again play.

In reality, Meric had been born a poor human on Coruscant, had been driven crazy by the death of his parents at a young age which left him to raise his siblings, and had developed into a monster as a result. But he died. Before he did, though, he tied his spirit to a small medallion that he had collected over the years. It seemed as if it were nothing special, which was what protected it from being destroyed or taken. People ignored the small metal trinket.

Eventually others picked it up and wore it. When they did, Meric inhabited their person. This has happened many times throughout the years, always with imperfect results. Sometimes the inhabited being shows through and will do things that Meric must then correct. He'd never lost a body to someone regaining themselves, however.

In doing this, he recently inhabited a human body. While doing so, he met a woman named @[member="Quietus"] and ventured with her into a dream realm, induced as such by glitterstim. The result of their actions in the dream realm were the twins @[member="Sirada"] and @[member="Sable"]. It was also around this time that he met a young blond girl that he became infatuated with. She was a Jedi Master. He captured her to user her talents to assist his ability to see with the Force, but eventually released her, never getting her to allow him to do anything else with her, though he desired to be with her.

That human body died and the medallion drifted, lost in space aboard a derelict vessel. That ship crashed on Sainte-Evaneflore. There the medallion was picked up and put on by a young Sylphe named Xaphen. Meric invaded the young Sylvari's mind and took over. Using the communications equipment in the downed ship, he drew in an outside vessel and used it to escape the world. After doing so, he found a crew and stole a vessel to fit the crew and began a career as a bounty hunter. Meanwhile, the Sylphe's body has grown around the medallion, nearly incorporating it in the vegetation skin.

Note: I ran the concept of him being tied to the medallion past an RP judge before doing this. Additionally, his ability to control the wearer is not perfect. Him being tied to an object which can be destroyed means he is NOT immortal.

It's like the Karness Muur talisman, but less world-shatteringly overpowered. Solid grounding in canon, many weaknesses attached. Welcome aboard.

The talisman is pretty much the same concept I have for Sila. Her soul/spirit is tied to a medallion that is implanted in her sternum. Made for some fun stories over at the other forum after she died and the seal was broken into several pieces.
