Meditate in Battle? Blasphemy. [Dranok/Spencer]

Meditate in Battle? Blasphemy.

Order. Solid structure and organization.

That phrase ricocheted around in his mind as he watched with twinkling, golden eyes. Those eyes darted back and forth to track each crewman as he carried about with the usual business of maintaining a four-kilometer vessel. 55,000 personnel. That was how many legionnaires and crewmen devoted each passing day to the running of the biggest, baddest, and strongest starship in the entire Fringe military. Dranok had basically hand selected each one, but that wasn't the technical version of his saying. In actuality, he handpicked his top aides aboard the vessel after giving them numerous tests set before them, therefore ensuring their competency to delegate authority to them in order to select an elite crew.

However, intense training and experience were not the only factors in gaining victory. Many other variables had a divine spot along with those in the art of warfare. Tactics, planning, mobility, cover and concealment, all of them and many more decided the outcome of combat. But, only one of these was capable of being mastered by only the greatest of strategists. It was entwined with the waves of the Force, capable of bending minds and souls into a single all-powerful weapon.

Battle Meditation.

A private ship a gift from her lover docked with the mighty ship that Dranok commanded. The young blonde woman wasn’t one for grand gestures or large seats of power. Though she did enjoy a conquest here and there, but her focus was mostly to mediate and support her comrades. IT was odd that someone had reached out for her for training especially in her specialty. Spencer usually turned down those who wished to learn it since the skill was difficult to learn along with difficult to teach. There was only one other that she helped and that was Aleidis Ijet, the woman was already the teacher of the strongest Battle Meditator and it gave her a sense of importance to help guide the young ghostling.

Being escorted towards where the man was she looked around and felt the area around her. Fingers pressed against her mask as she ensured that it was stuck on there. She didn’t know who Dranok kept for company and the last thing she needed was a Republic Spy lingering and saying that the Echani Queen was helping the Fringe. Sighing softly, she focused the Force around her necklace scrambling the familiar aura of Yun-Harla.

Dranok awaited in his personal chambers, outfitted with several Force-imbued crystals that lined the ceiling and walls to assist in the focusing of such mysterious arts. Instead of his usual military-like attire, he wore a simple, black tunic and matching trousers. His crimson-bladed saberstaff was safely taking up space upon a section of his belt, hanging uselessly as he rarely ever had to use such weapons. Granted, he was a noble practitioner of the Soresu art, yet he'd never found himself in the occasion that he desperately needed to use personal weapons. Such things were for the foolish and weak-hearted, the only weapon that mattered to this particular man was his mind. He was a strategist at heart, growing up with it hardwired into his bloodstream from his ancestry in the military and profession of war. He knew it was what he was meant to do, he could feel it coursing through his veins.

With eyes closed, the criss-crossed figure in the center of the room perked up at a new presence. A single one that stood out among the rest, one even larger than his own. Yun-Harla. A smile spread across his face as he felt the tendrils of her own energy poke and prod at everything around it, including Dranok's own being. It was as if she was stretching out to touch each and every member of the massive crew and identify them, seeking out their nature as to ensure her own security. The Lord Admiral understood all too well, he never went anywhere alone. Even if he merely went to the restroom, his bodyguard Horak, would always be standing by. Dranok wasn't afraid of anything happening, but a good tactician would never stray from the methods of doing things with added assurance.

Yun-Harla grew closer and closer. A few moments passed. The still meditating Lord Admiral called out across the dimly lit room, "Horak, allow my guest in. Treat her with respect." His eyes were still closed, yet he could see the outline of his assassin droid stalk across the room with dampened footsteps to flank the door and activate his motion sensors to time her arrival.
