What do you think it would mean for Chevu, on an IC level, to be promoted and for you as a writer?

It would be a huge responsibility for Chevu Visz to be a Jedi Master, and not one she would undertake lightly. If she were made Master she would finally be stepping into the role that her late Sullustan Master felt she was destined for. Additionally, the promotion would be poignant for her because her Master died before he got to see it happen, so she would want to honor his memory by doing the best she could. She would want to make sure she represented the NJO well, as it was an organization he believed in. It also means she's going to delve more into the mysteries of light sided alchemy so that she can make things for her fellow Jedi.

For me as a writer, it would be my first light-sided Master on the boards, and I'm looking forward to the challenge of writing the other end of the spectrum. I'd also like to have Chevu take on more students, and work on having her leading a sub group of Jedi, as those things can both create new story arcs for her. She's probably one of my favorite characters that I've ever written, to be honest. She has a nice mix of determination and vulnerability that keeps her fun to write. I try to make her a very "human" character, sometimes too human maybe. She can be reckless sometimes, and will need to overcome that to truly be the heroine that the Alliance needs. Overall, I'm super excited about writing her next chapter.
