[+] Mr.Personality : Makai is a fairly amiable person, although with a bit of a stubborn streak. What would one expect from Thessa Kai's son? He has a bit of a joking streak, trying most of his humor on his best friend Ellie or 'big sis' [member="Elpsis Elaris"] .Most of the time its not a hit, but it doesnt seem to prevent the boy from trying.
[+] Richie Rich : Born into wealth, Makai has had a better upbringing than most teenagers. He has always had the best education, going to the finest schools around. He's never had to worry about being uncomfortable or lacking in any of his needs. From an early age, he has been attending balls, auctions and job sites - extensive travelling most could only dream of.
[-] Here's Looking at You, Kid : Being a teenager, Makai is cursed with being young and inexperienced. Despite what he feels is budding knowledge, the young half-Galan does not know enough the 'verse to navigate it without trouble. Additionally, the boy was quite sheltered by his parents. He does not quite know the same things an average teenager would.
[-] White Noise : Due to a traumatic event in his early youth, Makai cannot handle a person yelling or screaming. He will mentally check out. The event can be described as being in a "tunnel", he will be vaguely aware of what is going around him but the words or actions will not register. It is almost as if he has disconnected himself from the situation. Makai normally requires someone to "snap him back" into reality via a firm shake on the shoulder or some other physical contact to bring him present.
APPEARANCE:
Wavy brown hair, often considered unruly and in need of a trim. Once tall and skinny, Makai finally has begun to put on a little weight and muscle to balance out his height.Tanned skin is dotted with patches and speckles of blueish scales, smooth in texture. If around water(which is nearly a constant), Makai will be found shirtless with long boardshorts on. Always wears the old dog tags of hid deceased mother, Thessa Kai. Makai will not take them off and often hides the tags under his shirt if they present an issue.
BIOGRAPHY:
Makai was born on Ceto to a human father and a Galan mother. The only child of Thessa Kai and Judah Dashiell, Makai could be described as the pride and joy of his parents. As a result, the boy has been sheltered much of his life due to his lineage and an attempt on his life while still in utero. Growing up on Ceto and being half of an aquatic species, Makai often spends his days in the ocean, either surfing or swimming through many of the reefs scattered on the planet. Due to the recent death of his mother, when Makai is not in school he can be found traveling with his father on business. It is unknown if he wants to take over Salacia Consolidated, but finds many aspects of the business interesting and does his best to learn what is presented in front of him.
Nearly a year after the death of his mother, Makai was moved from his native Ceto to Dac (Mon Calamari) in order to receive a fresh start. His father had already built a home on the family’s private island chain, allowing the Dashiell men to retreat in privacy from the prying eyes of the world. Being relatively close to Heurkea Floating City, Makai continues to attend a small, private academy catering to the children of wealthy and powerful sentients in the Mon Cala area.
As a result of his tagging along on business travels, Makai has become friends some with some unlikely business titans. He is close to Danger Arceneau and her family, especially with her youngest daughter [member="Myra Elspeth"] .Having known one another since they were young children, Ellie has quickly become a fixture in his life. Typically she can be found trying to boss him around, as if making up for her time spent as a mute in their youth.
When not in classes, Makai is often found working with the salvage crews under the guidance of Mr.Zej.Unlike most children in the business circles throughout the ‘verse, Judah thought it important to instill an appreciation of hard work. Makai knows he’ll have to earn his place at Salacia Consolidated, it won’t be handed to him on a silver platter.
