STRENGTHS
  • Dual Exits: On either side of the Miloc are doors which allow for quick entrances and exits for troops.
  • Simple and Cheap: The biggest strength of the Mailoc is by far the ability to construct it in great numbers. While this simplicity and cheapness does have downsides, the versatility of the vehicle helps to make up for the lacking features.
  • Windows Are A Structural Weakness: The main view for the driver comes not from a window or viewport but rather a camera, which allows for implementation of different camera types such as infrared or night-vision.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightly Armed and Armored: While not insignificant in terms of firepower, the Mailoc is severely lacking in any defenses aside from simple light armor for the hull of the vehicle. In addition the weapons that it does have are fairly simple and versatile but lack power or specialty.
  • Windows Are A Structural Weakness: Rather than having a window for the cockpit in order for the driver to see, the Mailoc instead makes use of a camera that feeds directly into a screen in front of the driver. While this does allow for more armor, the camera can easily be disabled by a simple hit from a projectile.
DESCRIPTION
The first prototypes for what would eventually become the Mailoc Combat Speeder, nicknamed simply 'Mailoc' or 'MCS' as a shorthand, wouldn't take form until after the establishment of the Formos Dresuoti by the Order of Wonosa. As the cult became more established on Formos and its military force, the Legion of Kerstas, became more official and organized the lack of vehicles for the cult in general began to become more and more apparent.

Although lacking in proper production of any sort, until recently, the cult did have access to plenty of ruined and decrepit ships that they eagerly salvaged from for all sorts of purposes and uses. This allowed for rudimentary experimentation with a few different vehicle designs that resulted in key principles for the cult's production going forward. Their products had to be simple, made out of what they had available, and most importantly make up for the weaknesses of the existing Legionnaires. As such prototyping began and soon one design stood out from the rest as the most optimal.

Named after a creature native to Dromund Kaas, the Mailoc was the perfect vehicle for the cult. Small and fast, with enough firepower to make up for the lacking heavy arms in the infantry. Armed with two forward-facing repeating blasters to suppress infantry and a top-mounted laser cannon, most of which were repurposed from starfighters, it came with plenty of bite and with enough room to transport and deploy the small infantry groups that the cult fielded.

As the cult expanded and became able to produce more and more of their new vehicle, the designs and a handful of the models were also sent out to the wider Sith Order to allow for production on an even larger scale. Despite the main purpose being infantry support, the Mailoc is versatile and can also be used for reconnaissance, urban combat, and even support for heavier vehicles.
