[SIZE=9pt]Appearance: Maia is rarely to not be found in her official work clothes, though when she is not required at the Senate she still dresses as if she was, wearing formal attire such as an appropriate dress or suit and pant combination. Her hair is a faded blonde, and is starting to develop noticeable grey roots. From afar, you would be forgiven for not seeing the creases that have begun embedding in her face, but even for her age she is looking quite young.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]Skills: While she rarely gets an opportunity to make use of her combat skills, she formerly served in the Legio Astro, and as such is trained in piloting, fleeting and managing ships. As she continued to display extraordinary amounts of skill, she quickly adapted to becoming a demanding but respectful authority, necessary in such a rigid organization.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Personality: Maia’s personality varies depending on the situation. When in work, she comes across as unimpressed most of the time,and is untrusting of people she would even call ‘friends.’ At home however, she is a loving mother and wife, and while she may not get much time to spend with those closest to her, she cherishes them nonetheless and shows them the infection which rarely has an opportunity to come out.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Weapon of Choice: Maia’s main weapon of choice would have to be her incredible persuasion skills, but during a breakdown of communications she is equally trained in utilizing both melee weaponry and a blaster rifle alike, though she is not exceptionally proficient in either of these.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Combat Function: Maia is more likely than not to actually stay in a fight if there is good reason to, but just how much support she actually provides is up for debate. While she could provide covering fire or even suppress an enemy, her aim has declined with age and is now dependent on the various armed guards that watch her every move to deal with those who would threaten her life.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]While the history of the Ashforth family remains clouded in mystery, many historians claim that they were present in the original exodus of the people of the Imperium from their original home planet, and the line continued as they settled down in the core worlds. While this was well before Maia’s time, legends of the heroic deeds of her ancestors have given her a sense of unrivaled patriotism to the Empire.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]While currently serving as the Consul of the Senate, it was not because of some nepotism as found in other organization, but through sheer hard work and talent. Prior to enlisting in the Imperium’s military, she was to be found in mundane part time work, whether that be as a shop assistant or perhaps more interestingly, doing volunteer work in local religious and non-profit groups.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]When the Imperium began organizing once more,, a sense of romanticism overcame Maia, taking a sharp turn in her life to endure the trials that the military had to offer her. After reaching the rank of Tribune in the Legion, she retired long before she was due and began vying for the position of Consul. With her wit, charm and demanding presence unmatched by many in the ruling body of the Senate, she was the obvious choice for this prestigious position and has found little to no opposition ever since she acquired this title. Life after her appointment, however, left the ever ambitious woman desiring something more, though as to what that is she is unsure.[/SIZE]
