OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Planet(s) Chosen: Mahporeem.
  • Name of the Government: The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.
  • Relationship With Overlord: The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant only controls a single planet, that planet being the namesake planet Mahporeem. That being said, the Imperial Remnant aspires to officially join the Imperial Confederation, so that it can colonize the rest of its system, the Weiss System.
  • Type of Government: Planetary Trimuverate.
  • Symbol: Flag.
  • Role: Mahporeem is the homeworld of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, and is perhaps one of, if not the, most important Junk Planets in the entire Outer Rim. Mahporeem supplies numerous amounts of scraps, electronics and spare parts for the Imperial Remnant.
IN CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Leadership: Victport Graras, Japh Krache and Jibnax Yotree.
  • Capital: Corrox
  • Notable Assets: Mahporeem is most well known for its massive planetary wide junkyards and ship breaking facilities.
  • Important Members: Ronhar Tane.
  • Government Stability: Medium. Generally speaking, Mahporeem is relatively safe to visit, as the local population is quite accommodating to friends and strangers alike. However, tensions do tend to arise between the three main planetary groups: Human, Alien and Merzoidian.
  • Wealth: Low. Though Mahporeem has a wealth of salvageable vehicles and starships just waiting to be taken apart, it has little else to offer the galaxy. As such, the planet is relatively poor but fairly self sustaining, as long as its junkyards continue to provide resources for the planet and its people.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Technically, the ruling Triumvirate is supposed to ensure equity between Mahporeem's main inhabitants. One member must be an Imperial, one member a formerly enslaved alien prisoner, and the last a Merzoidian. However, the Imperial faction exerts unequal authority over the other two, due to having most of Mahporeem's military assets. This is especially pressing due to the fact that many aliens have officially joined the Military. As such, many of the rules and edicts issued by the ruling council are rather authoritarian in nature, and propaganda and censorship are rife on the planet. It is likely that the planet will be joining the Imperial Confederation in the near future, only adding to its already draconian policies.
  • Imports: Foodstuffs, Medical Supplies, Tibanna Gas, Antiquated and Obsolete Vehicles and Starships.
  • Exports: Scrap Metal, Spare Vehicle and Starship Parts, Electronic Components
MILITARY INFORMATION
  • Military Strength Rating: Maximum. The Imperial Remnant maintains a planetary monopoly on the use of force, being the only entity authorized to deploy and maintain a military.
  • Military Force Name: Imperial Armed Forces of Mahporeem.
    • Mahporeem Imperial Army
    • Mahporeem Imperial Navy
  • Military Force: Mahporeem once housed a large military garrison to guard the various prison camps scattered across the planet. The Imperial Remnant has inherited the remains of this garrison, though it is much smaller than it was at the height of the Galactic Empire. Mahporeem also has a wealth of vehicles and starships that it can press into service, due to the presence of its planetary junkyards.
  • Military Role: The military is used to maintain law and order on the planet, as well as defending it from any internal and external threats. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, Mahporeem began recruiting soldiers from all planetary species, not just humans. This makes the military a rather diverse fighting force, though it does rely on a plethora of assorted vehicles and equipment.
  • Military Installations: Ship Breaking Yards, Scrapyards/Junkyards, Factories, Industrial Plants, Recycling Plants, Orbital Dockyards/Defense Stations.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
  • The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant can trace its historical lineage back to the formation of the Galactic Empire. After the end of the Clone Wars, the newly formed Galactic Empire decided to annex Mahporeem into its sphere of influence, reneging on its promise to help the planet remain free and independent after they defeated of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
  • In fact, the Galactic Empire only accelerated the transformation of the planet from an agricultural paradise into a sprawling Junk World. establishing numerous scrapyards. ship breaking yards, factories and recycling plants. A large number of prison complexes were also constructed on the planet to house the various dissidents and enemies of the Empire. These unwilling participants would form the backbone of Mahporeem's labor force, and would be the ones mainly responsible for day to day industrial operations on the planet.
  • However, the death of the Emperor Palpatine and collapse of the Galactic Empire would being a massive planetary uprising against the occupying Imperial Forces, with the formerly enslaved alien and native Merzoidian population engaging in open warfare over the future of the planet.
  • After weeks of heavy fighting, an additional Imperial force would arrive to the planet, not to assist the Imperial Garrison, but instead destroy it as part of OPERATION: CINDER.
  • A ceasefire was called between Mahporeem's three warring factions and by working together, they were able to defeat the Emperor's contingency plan once and for all.
  • The Mahporeem Peace Accords would go on to mark the official creation of the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, a planetary triumvirate that was in theory supposed to ensure equality between all three of Mahporeem's warring factions. In reality, however, the military remains over dominant over the politics of the planet, due to the Imperial faction having a near monopoly on military power. This disparity has only grown ever wider ever since Mahporeem officially began accepting aliens and nonhumans into its armed forces.
  • Betrayed by the Empire and ignored by the New Republic, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant decided to pursue a policy of strict isolation so that they could tend to their own affairs without worry of being attacked once again.
  • The Imperial Remnant then began taking immediate stock over its armed assets, and came to a frightful conclusion: the remaining Imperial Garrison was not nearly sufficient for planetary defense and potential expansion into the Weiss System, the home system of the Imperial Remnant. This was due to many Imperial Commanders fleeing back to the Core Worlds in order to consolidate territory for themselves. Much of Mahporeem's Defense Fleet had left the system, forcing the Imperial Remnant to get creative with its starship acquisition. Some mothballed vessels were pulled back into active service, an example being the Vilifier-class Star Destroyer. Other vessels in Mahporeem service were created from a number of destroyed Imperial and Rebel Alliance vessels, known as "Ugly" class starships. These vessels, such as the Nebulon Fire-class Light Carrier and Y-Fender "Ugly" Starfighter would go on to augment what ships still remained from the days of the Galactic Empire. Currently, the most powerful vessels in Mahporeem service are Victory I-class Star Destroyers, and a priority of the Remnant is the acquisition of Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
  • For its ground forces, the Imperial Remnant did much the same as it did for its defense fleet, using its massive planetary scrapyards to build an effective fighting force. Modified Stormtrooper Armor and AT-AT variants would serve alongside a plethora of Clone Wars-era and Imperial vehicles. The remnant would even press old Confederacy of Independent Systems assets into battle, reactivating the old droid producing factories of the Clone Wars for the Imperial Mahporeem Army. Mahporeem's ground forces are quite formidable, with vintage AATs, AT-TEs and Juggernauts serving alongside Mahporeem's homegrown ground vehicles, such as the TIE Crusher, the AT-HSW and the AT-AAW. That being said, this ground force is quite reliant on Mahporeem's junkyards for spare parts and upgrades, and once these fields run dry, it will be much more difficult for Mahporeem to keep its army up and running.
  • Mahporeem would have preferred to stay isolated from the galaxy, only trading for things it absolutely needed such as Bacta and Tibanna Gas. However, as the centuries went one, Mahporeem's once inexhaustible supply of scrap and spare parts slowly began to dry up, forcing the remnant to open itself up to the galaxy.
  • Mahporeem has not participated in any major wars or engagements for centuries. The most action the Imperial Remnant has seen involves defending the planet from the occasional pirate raid or space goliath attack, along with intercepting smugglers and "tourists" who illegally travel to Mahporeem controlled space. On the planet itself, the armed forces are involved with keeping the peace by hunting down dangerous creatures, criminal organizations, rioters and rebel/terrorist groups.
  • The Imperial Remnant has also shown interest in colonizing the rest of the Weiss System, and has mounted several expeditions over the last few centuries. Unfortunately, each attempt to settle the other planets in the system have met with failure, as the Imperial Remnant simply lacks the resources necessary for long term settlement of other planets.
  • However, now the the Imperial Remnant has made contact with the Imperial Confederation, it is hoped that their assistance will allow Mahporeem to achieve all of its current goals once and for all...
  • Additional information about the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant can be found here.

I need you to expand on the history for this submission. Linking to the history of the planet isn't really the same thing as working out the specific history of his military. I would focus on answering the questions listed in the template as starters. Things like: How were they formed? Why were they formed? What are some of their greatest accomplishments? The questions really are endless.

This matters because other writers interacting with this military need as much information as they can. You may link to the planet, but please flesh out the history here as well.

Thanks!

Understood! I have expanded upon what you've asked for, though by nature Mahporeem doesn't really have a "greatest victory" due to its self imposed isolation. If thats still an issue, I can certainly create something. Thank you for your input!
