+ Energy + Use of different materials and alloys, including energy dispersing Cortosis, grants the plates remarkable energy dispersion capabilities focused towards laser and plasma weapons.
+ Kinetic + Use of different alloys give the plating remarkable durability against kinetic attacks. The plates hold up well to prolonged testing with slugthrowers and other weapons.
+ EMP/Ion + The addition of ablative plating and associated plating grants the suit acceptable resistances to these two energies via dispersion across the length of the plating.
+ Lightsabers + Much the same with dispersing the incoming energy bolts, the use of Cortosis and durable alloys grants the plates outstanding performance against lightsabers.
+ Heat + Duravlex in the blend grants the plates improved resistance to weaponized heat, allowing it to withstand most common flamethrowers.
+ Re-plates-able + The harness system does allow for the removal of damaged plates, though in combat this may not be an easy task to undertake.
+ The Shield + The addition of a large style shield generator provides a limited area of protection to those around this gears user, roughly 5 meters in diameter. Must be activated manually.

- Elemental - The plates also conduct lightning alarmingly well, beware of water and force users.
- Disruption - While the bodyglove beneath is resistant to Disruptor weapons, the plates offer no viable protection from the attacks.
- Cold - While well resistant to weaponized heat, the cold can make the armor brittle where heat fails.
- Snap - The harness system can be a liability, as damage to the harness will result in possible armor failure such as loose/open plating, or entirely losing the plates.
- The Fortress - This particular plate setup is the superior of the three for protection, but is also the heaviest.
- The Power - The HAPU generator can be knocked out with sufficient damage, along with the Shield. But should the generator fail first, the shield will shut off
immediately.
- Walking Bomb - The HAPU generator relies on anti-matter to function, and catastrophic failure of the system will likely result in an explosion capable of wiping out a small city block.

The original iteration of the Helljumper Bodyglove was of simple but functional design. Meant to keep the user alive during a firefight while keeping them flexible as well as providing a system to adopt plating. Sikkol Cull provided the schematics after the fall of his clan to better all of the mandalorians that came after them, wanting to provide everyone a fair chance at basic gear to help keep them alive.

The schematics for the Forward Infantry plating arrangement comes from the need for a dedicated heavy weapons user. The plating offers the best coverage, while still allowing largely unrestricted movement even with the heavier loadout. Aside from the addition of plates, shin-guards, and toe covers were added for extra measure as well as ablative plating further bolstering the EMP and ionic resistance of the suit. The addition of a shield/generator combination to the suit also provides a token of squad protection roughly 5 meters in diameter around the operator.
