Lynch Law(Jedi hunts)

@Vulpsen @[member="Moroi Wareyasui"] @[member="Asaak Tey"] @[member="Rasu Gan"]

"Guilty" The woman sat in the room looking out at the sight of it all, another camp had been set up albeit smaller this time and less boisterous it let her experiment and do as needed. There was even some decent weather when she wanted to see how long these humans could survive in the cold with no protection. A delightful test before sending them to the showers and ovens. She loved the terms the people made up to explain what was happening here, Labor camp, concentration, it was funny to her more because they refused to call it was it was. A death camp and here she held judgement over their usefulness to the cause. The cause being her enjoyment in wiping out yet another inferior grouping. They'd have to work on that when the time came.

Then someone approached and spoke. "Ma'am there has been a disturbance in the mess hall one of the prisoners tried to steal food from the larder." That just allowed for something more... something fun and with a sharp intake of breath and exhale through the suit she spoke. "Then send his family if they still live to the showers... no change that, if there are children to the nexu pups, women to the showers and for him make sure he gets to watch it all understood?" She kept her eyes on him for a moment before rising and tapping the table. "Or you and your family will share his fate." The man stood there paling for a moment until he ran off and her arms crossed with the sounds of the order going out and prepared to be done. All the while her face showed contentment at the situation.

1 WEEK LATER

Someone had escaped and he was on a ship stowed away in the cargo hold as it touched down on Coruscant. The medical teams when they found him brought him to the hospital and contacted the jedi. His treatments weren't expected to save him just sustain him long enough to ease the pain of being starved and exposed to extreme cold until his body was frostbitten. The jedi who was working in the hospital Cathbodua sent the report and what he was rambling about semi incoherently. -Garhoon.... camps, Kahlee- The jedi remained by his side working to bring some measure of comfort but she feared that not even @[member="Boolon Murr"] would be able to save him at this state.

Following the mysterious message, Vulpesen and a team of other jedi had been sent out to handle the death camps. Staring at his datapad, Vulpesen failed to get much information on the mission ahead. With only an insane half dead man to go by, his mission objectives seemed to say, "search, find disturbance, end threats." The assignment wasn't anything he was unused to. It just meant he'd get to improvise a bit more than usual, something he actually enjoyed. "So, any ideas on who we'll find out there?" Looking around the cabin, he saw only one face he was familiar with. He had worked with @[member="Rasu Gan"] multiple times and enjoyed having her as a comrade. As for the padawans accompanying them, he hoped that they too would earn his trust on this mission.

If Vulpesen was wondering about her, she in turn wondered about him. Although the curiosity had to be a little different. Asaak had already done a fair bit of training and traveling, expanding her skill set and starting to grow confident in her use of the Force and applying it to any situation she found herself in. But she had yet to really prove herself. She hoped that with this mission she might be able to find a place in the Order, garner trust and show Rasu the time she'd spent teaching her Padawan was not wasted.

That, and catch some baddies. She had no idea what awaited them, but any one who left the shell of a man she'd heard of in the reports couldn't be anything but evil.

But she'd heard of Vulpesen and she knew the rest of the Jedi Order trusted him immensely. Beyond that - and a rumor of his quick sense of humor - she knew little, and she hoped to change that.

She tilted her head slightly to hear him better, the waves of sound his voice created mingling with the conditioning system of the cabin to hit her montrals strangely, their echolocation making his voice sound far away. She smiled slightly, running her tongue lightly over her sharp canines, a habit she did not realize she was developing. She truly had no idea what to expect and wasn't sure she had room to speculate but she offered her thoughts anyway. "Didn't the man mention 'garhoon'?" It was a species she had once heard of in passing, enough to recall the word, but beyond that... "I'm unfamiliar with them." Maybe getting some enlightenment would start some ideas kicking around. It would at least pass the time to their destination even if they all ended up being completely wrong.

Moroi Wareyasui

Cocky Little Poohead
Moroi had spent most of the voyage in silence, partially because the assignment they were given seemed to be more of a wild goose chase and partially because he was, again, in a fething ship. The boy shuddered slightly as his eyes scanned around the cabin they were presently residing and silently cursing himself. He needed to find a way to teleport to planets through the force, that would be so much nicer. It might even be possible too, he had heard of some pretty ridiculous feats accomplished through sheer will, planet jumping might not be outside the realm of possibility. Of course, since Moroi still struggled propelling a stone at anything other than his own head, he might just be getting a little ahead of himself. Probably a controversial opinion amongst the passengers of the ship, but Moroi could not wait to get off this metal death trap and start looking for whatever disturbance they were being sent to investigate. There was no way it could be worse than this.

The boy remained silent for the first question from @[member="Vulpesen"] and didn't really like the potential answer. He honestly had no idea what they were going to find down there, if anything at all. The Garhoon were a race of vampires that occasionally found their way in to the bed time stories the orphanage told him when they wanted their children to behave. While the stories were mostly dominated by the Sith and the Darkside coming to get them if they didn't eat their vegetables, when they got bored of telling stories about the horrible sith, they occasionally went to Rancors, Wampas in the winter, and of course, Garhoons. Since the method to fight against Garhoons was "eating your vegetables" however, Moroi wasn't sure how useful his information was going to be. It was not until @[member="Asaak Tey"] spoke up that Moroi decided to give the meager knowledge on the, at least to Moroi, mythological species.

"They're vampires, the Garhoon. Of course it could also just be the fevered ramblings of a man succumbing to delirium. He could simply have been prattling off a childhood nightmare in his last moments."

The Shi'ido woman shuffled in her seat, eyes shut tightly, as the strain she was putting on them became visible. Fire. Much like the village on Lujo, but this time she felt a sense of accomplishment as she watched the camp crumble. All around her beings of all shapes and sizes ran amok, their faces lit up by the ignited lightsaber blades. Ran poured down on the Shi'ido as she gazed across to the fiery camp entrance, a red blade illuminated the gateway, highlighting the woman's features. The rage held within these two orbs bore deep into her heart, her one look able to fill the Shi'ido with so much dread.

A soft gasp left Rasu's mouth as she opened her eyes, sitting up from her slouched position in the cabin seat. Another vision, she thought, becoming slightly concerned with the frequent Force visions that had begun to plague her. She decided, however, to not let this distract her, turning her attention to the other Jedi on-board, already deep in conversation. She watched as they discussed the mission, listening in as she remained unnoticed. They all seemed happy enough, unaware of the sign given to the Shi'ido, one depicting the horrors that loomed over them. The rage filled eyes of the Sith woman remained plastered over her eyelids, burnt into her memory. Suddenly what had at first seemed like an achievable mission, now had turned into a perilous one. Rasu had felt concerned before by bringing the two Padawans along, but now she felt even worse. However one of the first lessons she had been taught as a young Jedi involving Force visions, was that the future was always changing. So there was still hope that the four Jedi could avoid a rather dangerous outcome during their task.

Putting on a brave face, she decided not to let on, at least to keep the Jedi's spirits up for the duration of their mission. Leaving her seat, she approached the group, standing beside Vulpesen with a forced smile placed upon her lips. "Sorry about that, must have dozed off. Really showing my age now." she said, trying too hard to hide the worry from the group. "So Vulpesen, why don't you give us a quick briefing on what we are here to accomplish, just in case some of us are unsure." she said, turning to face the human man, taking a step back to join the pair of Padawans.

Asaak grimaced as Moroi explained garhoons. "Sounds pleasant." It sounded like someone's fairy tale. Vampires? The Togruta had stories of such creatures as well, warning tales to not move out past the clan's campfires at night. In a society like Shili's where individuality was so deeply discouraged, tales of horrible death and violence seemed par for the course in personality control. But even the children didn't truly believe. Garhoons sounded like a monster created in the dead of night when someone heard something moving out in the bush, but Asaak didn't entirely dismiss it.

She may have been young and really only just starting her journey in the world, but already she'd seen things in the Underworld that loosened her conceptions of what was possible. Having a Master who was three times her age and yet considered very young for her species also helped - Rasu Gan had tales that Asaak would have dismissed immediately were it not for how much she trusted her Shi'ido master.

So as they flew along, closer and closer to a complete mystery, she didn't dismiss anything.

Speaking of her Master, the woman had been quiet for the majority of the beginning of the journey. Asaak looked over when she cracked a joke and noticed that hint of effort to hide her worry. Perhaps it was just all the time spent around her Master, but Asaak could feel that something was wrong. However she wasn't about to put Rasu on the spot, instead waiting until she was settled to send her Master a curious, concerned look. Most of her attention was centered on Vulpesen however, eager for whatever briefing she could receive.
