OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To further develop the main governing parties involved in Darkwire's government, the Corporate Authorities of Denon through one of its primary leaders.
  • Role: One of five pre-eminent leaders, a "DireX', in the corporatocracy that is the Corporate Authorities of Denon. Primarily seeks business ventures in various entertainment industries.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Corporate Authorities of Denon, Darkwire
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: A closely guarded secret of 43 GSY.
  • Force Sensitivity: Untrained Force Sensitive
  • Species: Human with Hapan and Pamarthen lineage
  • Appearance: Slightly above average height for a human woman with a lithe frame. Great care goes into her makeup and outfit combinations. She is routinely dressed in bespoke, designer apparel considered cutting edge in the fashion world but also designed specifically to highlight Sun's best physical features.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Luminous Sun. Born: Mireda Pell
  • Title: DireX
  • Loyalties: Herself first. Her company second. The Corporate Authorities of Denon third. Nothing else is worth her time.
  • Wealth: Extremely
  • Notable Possessions: "Gentry", her flagship. Owner of Sakedo Tower. Owns an overwhelming majority of entertainment studios and venues of various industries as well as many hospitality service providers in CAD controlled space.
  • Skills: Manipulative. Observant. Intuitive. Very capable of determining a being's desires and exploiting them.
  • Personality: Controlling to the point of domineering. Cunning to the point of conniving. Jealous to the point of possessiveness. Arrogant to the point of overconfident. Often known for being dangerously calm, like a covered pot containing boiling contents.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Power, often in the form of credits. Charisma. Whichever is most appropriate for the situation. Has used various poisons in the past if no other choice presents itself. Her Force abilities allow her a low level of persuasion and sense.
  • Combat Function: Mostly Luminous will sit back and watch. She never pulls the trigger herself.
Strengths:
  • Throwing her weight around: Sun has positioned herself well to make use of her power, her credits, her influence. She barely needs to lift a finger to make events unfold in the way she desires. She need only make the right calls to the right people and promise them the thing they want most.
  • Sixth sense: Though her training as a Force Sensitive was ultimately disappointing, she still managed to take away a few things, especially her ability to read the desires of others.
  • Easy to underestimate: As a head of the entertainment industry, Sun isn't the most likely candidate for having any understanding in politics or strategy. However, her finely tuned business sense has been applied to political warfare many times and succeeded. No one expects the diva to be a threat, but though her rise to power came through her meteoric rise as a celebrity, she is still extremely capable in many fields.
Weaknesses:
  • Petty criminal: Any slight to her, no matter how small or even unintentional, is seen as an extreme insult. Sun will track you down and lay down her judgment for anything from bumping into her incidentally to serving her food with too much fat.
  • Celebrity status achieved: Of all of the DireX, she has the most public face. Having risen through the fame and fortune to where she is now, every billboard has had her face plastered to it at one point or another. There simply is no hiding if Luminous Sun is seen in public.
  • Combat aversion: If it comes down to it, and Sun has to pit her physical prowess or her blaster skills against someone else, she will lose. She is not trained for battle.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Born to unimportant merchants that made their living trading holodramas to poor families on poor worlds, Mireda grew up wanting to be the person in those holodramas. Her life was excessively boring until their family happened upon a sanctuary where a visiting shaman was helping the poor. A pre-teen Mireda didn't find the shaman all to interesting either, just another grubby person thinking they were making a difference in the galaxy when really all they were doing was making the dead die slower. But the shaman told the young girl that she had "potential." Mireda had been waiting to hear those words her whole life. So of course she would let the shaman dote all this praise onto her about how she had some "gift" and with the right training she could become "great." What kid could ignore such praise?

The shaman exchanged some words with her parents and one thing led to another and suddenly, she was no longer a kid traveling with boring merchant parents. Instead, she was a kid going on adventure to a temple where she would learn what it took to become like one of the characters she admired in her imagination.

But becoming a Jedi was not all that it was cracked up to be for Mireda. She was determined to get better. But no matter how hard she tried, how much effort she put in, she didn't improve like the other students did. Rumors went around that the shaman that had discovered Mireda was a hack with very little ability of his own. He wouldn't have known that, even though Mireda could touch the Force, she could barely use it. Mireda's dreams were crushed. After a few years, she left the academy, hurt, angry that she might never reach her full potential.

That anger became fuel to the pursuit of her desires. She found herself on Etti IV in corporate space, with a new name and new identity: Luminous Sun. She was gonna be something. As an attractive young woman, she quickly found work on holosets. With just enough application of little Force training she had, she manipulated her way into larger and larger roles. Eventually she gained great notoriety and plenty of credits to go with it. But her manipulations didn't cease. She wanted more and more. So Luminous used her credits and fame and became an owner, first of a holostudio, then fashion lines, then hotels and spas, each time, manipulating her way into the best position possible. Eventually, her necessity to use the Force to manipulate others became secondary to her ability to use her power and influence to her advantage.

But as her status grew, so did her desires. She didn't stop at legal business. She was the entertainment queen and there were plenty of entertaining things to be conquered that were less legal... Sun conquered those realms too.

So it was when corporate space was threatened and the sovereignty of her business was at stake, the entertainment mogul, along with four other business partners left corporate space and made their way to Denon, where their power and influence and money bought the world outright, establishing Luminous not just as a successful businesswoman, but also as a successful conqueror. And still, her fire for acquisition burns ever bright, and always forward.
