STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

[+] A Learned Man: Irridius is a man of self-taught knowledge accumulated during his time in the Grand Army of the Republic and subsequent desertion. During his readings, he researched heavily into Galactic History, was taught military tactics by the most brilliant minds in the Republic and obsessed over the most notable Imperials in history; including Tarkin, Thrawn and Galactic Emperor Palpatine.

[+] Cold Calculation: Irridius is a man of calculation and cunning, representing the mind of a strategist that holds a ruthless resolve and strives for victory ahead of all else. It matters not who must be stepped on, exterminated or oppressed as long as the odds favour Irridius and his vision for the Empire.

[+] Neo-Traditionalism: Irridius prides himself on his intellect and self-proclaimed superiority as an Imperial and an Admiral. As such, he has blended traditional Imperial and Republican military tactics with his own philosophies and stratagems to create a command style that can be considered unorthodox and unpredictable. He is also known for his unique take on the age-old Imperial law of fear.

[+] Forked Tongue & Shined Boots: Irridius has a knack of convincing those under him to justify their own horrendous actions through delusions of superiority and grandeur. More than this, Irridus' germaphobic nature compels him to keep his fleet in perfect sanitary condition and keep a strict discipline among all of his troops. Simple breaches of sanitation protocol and other disciplinary policies are punished severely on his ships and thus rank, file and coordination tends to be near flawless under his command.

[-] Twice the Pride, Double the Fall: Irridius is prideful and confident in his own abilities and though he plans for potential failure, his confidence in himself can lead to actions and plans that are reckless despite any strategic excellence. In fact, so sure of his plans is he, that he can fail to realise a small mistake when he has made one, failing to address it, allows it to grow into a massive problem for his plans.

[-] The Edge of Madness: Irridius is a sociopathic man, a complete believer in his own superiority over the common Imperial and has no doubt that Imperial Society is naturally stronger and more worthy than other forms of culture. Atop of this, his obsession with cleanliness can distract and enrage him suddenly and without warning. While the symptoms of his madness are subdued on a usual basis, Irridius is prone to sudden outbursts that are short, but extremely violent and mostly self-destructive.

[-] The Price of a Life: Irridius sees the men and women under his command not in terms of individual lives, but in terms of assets and costs of replacement. It is exceptionally rare for Lucien to put a value on a life simply because it is a life, rather, Irridius values his men as a chess player values his pieces. He would willingly throw the lives of thousands away if it meant victory. Because of this, his connection with his men not based his ability to inspire them but on his ability to win battles. It is a respect built on fear and awe rather than common ground or speeches.

[-] The Obsessions: Irridius commonly imagine every action and move on the scale of the galactic conflict. Every ripple, battle and death can affect future outcomes. However, there are obsessions he holds that distract him without fail. His drive to breed a strong, imperial future and crush certain individuals can break him of his usual calculating nature and lead him down the path of failure alongside other flaws.

APPEARANCE:
Despite his humble upbringings on the Outer Rim planet of Elrood, Irridius has adopted a severely posh "Core Worlder" style about himself that would suggest a High-Class Courscanti heritage rather than that of a miner's son on a distant colony world. Despite his origins, Irridius holds himself to a standard of excellence that mimics his internal belief that he was born to not only be a Core Worlder but one of the most refined and progressive as well. He takes it upon himself to dress in an immaculate blaster resistant white uniform (pictured above) that resembles that of ancient Grand Admirals, despite his obviously lower rank. He tops this uniform off with a pair of leather coated Infiltrator Gloves, that serve to mainly protect his hands from germs but the functionality of the A.I gloves he uses was too logical to pass up.

His superior thinking on himself and his hatred of clutter, dirt, germs and disease leads Irridius to hold himself to a standard of cleanliness that even hospitals would pale in comparison to. His uniform seems to be in a perpetual state of unnatural white sparkle as he changes it three times a day and his gloves are form fit to keep any loose dirt from slipping in. On the off chance anyone did see his bare hands, they would find his nails trimmed perfectly at length to one another and his skin free of blemish from tips of fingers to the top of his head. Same as his uniform, his military standard boots are buffed and shined via one of three cleaning droids twice a day and he changes his boots at the same time he changes his uniform; meaning his boots are mirror shined on a seemingly eternal basis.

As was once tradition in the Core Worlds, Irridius wears his hair long against most standard military regulation. He does, however, keep it pulled into a neat tail in the back of his head and washes it obsessively throughout the day. This, coupled with his jet black hair, perfect white smile and fiery emerald eyes gives him an eery glow about him that borders on the malevolently perfect; as if he is the face of seduction and deciet itself.

BIOGRAPHY:
If there is a center of nobility, prestige and military honor then Elrood orbits one of the stars farthest from. Born to a humble family of low-income miners, Irridius' family life was a stressful one that saw a drunken father taking his ignorant rage out upon his young son. His father would come home angry about work conditions or conversation had in the mines and the full brunt of it would be taken out upon Irridius, it was a daily affair by the time he was thirteen. During this trying times, Irridius' mother was his only salvation from this life of troubled abuse. Though she could never bring herself to leave her husband, she did what she could to shelter Irridius from his father, giving him spare credits to go to the local holobook store and buy his way into fantasies that took him far away from his childhood home.

Often times the young Lucien would skip school to hide in the bookstore, reading about Republic heroes of old and great tales of Jedi. It prompted fierce beatings from his father when the school called to inform his family of his absence, but the learning environment offered by the planetary education system was never enough to keep him interested or invested. He'd much rather risk a beating for a few hours of being lost on a page than have to sit through the useless dronings presented by a school day. He learned much more from the books than he did in the classroom anyway, not that he would ever even attempt to use this excuse with his father, whom he hated from the youngest age he could remember.

As he grew, somehow making it through middle school, Irridius began to develop a romanticised view of Core Worlders that was brought on by the stories he had escaped to growing up as well as the uncanny cleanliness of his factory workplace that upheld itself to so-called "Core Standards". He never felt he fit in with his family, he loved his mother but even she felt somehow detached from him in his own mind. He didn't belong on Elrood, he belonged on a planet with rolling cities like that of Coruscant. He belonged in the blinking lights of Upper Taris and the Opera houses of the Galactic City, he could feel it in his bones. What was once a boyhood escape was becoming an intense adulthood obsession by the time he was seventeen, often daydreaming of how he'd get to Coruscant and make something of himself.

His workplace, which punished uncleanliness with pay deduction that got Irridius beat at home, had already taught him to respect personal hygiene over all else. But as his feeling of belonging in the Core Worlds intensified, Irridius began to spend all of his extra credits on Coruscanti reproduction clothing and grew his hair out to resemble nobility of times long past. He refused to end up an ignorant fool like his father, he was going to be better, he was going to become a Core Worlder.

Irridius' life changed irreparably at the age of nineteen when his mother when a loose strain of Gulag Plague forced her into quarantine where she died within days of infection. His father not only didn't pay for a funeral, he belittled the dead woman starting from the day she died. Irridius mourned alone, stealing her body from the morgue and burning her body himself so he knew she was shown the respect she deserved. With his mother gone, he had no reason to stay. So he left, paying his way to Coruscant aboard an old freighter where he hoped to become a great writer like those who had helped him escape reality as a child.

His attempted writing career would never take off, every one of his six manuscripts being turned down without any money to show for them. He was twenty, hungry and had nowhere else to go aside from the corner of a dark street in Coruscant's undercity. So, he did the only thing he could do, he enlisted with the Republic military. He was accepted into the Republic Navy where he quickly ascended the ranks after receiving top marks on intelligence based exams that placed him in an Officer's Training Academy after basic training. By the time his training was complete he was serving as a lieutenant aboard a Republic Corvette. He would continue to serve and climb the ranks for the next eleven years, achieving the rank of Captain at the age of 32 where he would assume control of a Destroyer tasked with ferrying the Clone Army and their commander [member="Keira Ticon"].

It was during this time in his life when internal Republic turmoil was at its height and external threats had crippled the nation, that Irridius began having extreme doubts about the state of the Core Worlds. He believed that Core Worlders had a right to luxury because they had developed such an advanced and sophisticated culture for themselves and he counted himself among its inheritors. Despite only being able to claim some of this luxury for himself because of the liberal Republic policies toward Outer Rim worlds, the self-centered and elitist Irridius began to despise the Republic for giving away what he saw as rightfully his. In his eyes they were squandering what he wanted for himself by handing it out to any world that asked for it. There had to be a better way and for awhile he considered a career in politics so that he could fix the system from the inside, remake it in his own image.

That was until Keira Ticon, commander of the Republic Clone Army, betrayed the Jedi and the senate by leading an assault that decimated the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. This event had proven two things to Irridius. That the Republic was too weak to protect itself and that internal corruption was dangerously rampant and that Keira Ticon was perhaps the boldest and intelligent Republican he had ever met; aside from himself of course. With his disillusionment solidified, Irridius deserted the Republic soon after Ticon's betrayal and began reading into Galactic History once again in search for a better way. He found this better way in the writings of Palpatine, Thrawn and Tarkin.

For years, Irridius became obsessed with the idea of an Imperial High Culture and the philosophies of the Fascist Imperial Leaders. He contained himself in exile, learning everything he could about the ways of the old Imperials and through his learnings, he became a far superior commander...but he also developed a superiority complex that furthered his latent sociopathic tendencies. As the Republic fell and other nations rose, Irridius simply waited for his calling to find him and when the Imperial Remnant rose, he knew he had found his purpose.

He would turn the Imperial Remnant into the perfect Imperial society.

BIO CONTINUED (IC ROLEPLAY):

Grand Admiral Lucien E. Irridius, it was exactly what he knew he deserved when he arrived on Kamino. However, once he displayed his experience and tactical prowess to the Moff Council, he was quickly nominated to the position to bolster the fighting power of the rising Empire. One of his first acts as Grand Admiral was to visit the construction site of a new flagship for the Galactic Empire, where he confronted Director of Advanced weaponry [member="Travis Caalgen"]. The two weren't unacquainted at this point, but their relationship was strained and things quickly turned to bickering. Irridius wasn't happy with the choice to allow Corellian Engineering to take the position of lead contractor for the vessel, as he held a great disdain for their rebellious kind but Caalgen was not going to allow himself to be stepped on by the pompous Grand Admiral.

Days after this encounter, Irridius decided it was time to make contact with the woman who had got him here. The woman who had made it clear to him that the Galactic Republic was lying to him. Using his contacts in Imperial Intelligence, Irridius got in touch with [member="Keira Ticon"]. The two's conversation was cold on the side of Keira, who suspected something was far different about Irridius than what she remembered. When Irridius told her why he had contacted her and who he represented, Keira immediately turned him down. Despite the woman's respectful decline, however, Irridius quickly turned belligerent and when the call ended...he began plotting the demise of the woman who he saw as personally insulting him by claiming to be a Mandalorian.

While he plotted against Keira, Irridius took it upon himself to attend a formal Gala being held in Iron Empire space by @Atheus. While here, he spoke with the Iron Empire Admiral, @Zeradias Mant.

During his stay at the gala, Irridius decided upon a course of action to take against Keira. Before he could act, however, an urgent mission on Scarif drew his attention. Quickly, Irridius returned to Kamino from the Gala and confronted High Moff [member=Thurman] and Grand Moff [member="Tanomas Graf"] about the situation, in which he belittled Thruman's competence as a commander before being insulted by the Grand Moff. Full of spite, Irridius ordered the First Fleet to Scarif where he began a campaign of bombardment against Rebel positions on the planet before turning his guns on the battlefield. Hundreds of Imperial and rebel troops were vaporized during these bombardments, which Irridius considered necessary. The battle concluded when a rebel fleet entered the system and was quickly dispatched by First Fleet and The Avenger. In the aftermath, probe droids sent to the surface by Irridius had discovered treachery within the Imperial Knights. Treachery that would help lead to the purge of the Imperial Knights that was supported in earnest.
