  • Stealth is the entire design of this ship, from the hull to myriad of scanners and scanner jammers.
  • Aside from stealth, range is the ships main defense.
  • Additional power from the engines are diverted to the weapon for quick recharge.
  • Engine Baffles cover some of the ion signature.
  • Blackout lights for loitering purposes.
  • Durinium impregnated hull helps block sensor scans, especially paired with Reflec coating.
  • Extreme range shots when paired with a fleet or scanner ship.

  • Not designed for atmospheric assault.
  • While it has a gun, it is meant to stay at range.
  • Shields are not typically at full power, and must have power directed to them to be effective.
  • Forward mounted weapon only.
  • Baffles only useful for covering adjustments or low output burns, not for constant use.
  • Blackout lights can produce hazards in some area's of the ship.
  • Durinium Alloy hull and Reflec coating make the ship much harder to find if lost, or damaged. Allies may not be able to come to it's aid in time without guidance.
  • Can be found if long range shots are pinpointed.
  • The engine signature of thrusters can be spotted with careful attention to scanners while it is adjusting aim as the engine baffles reduce but do not completely hide the ion signature.
  • The Alloy Hull and Reflec Coating hide the ship from scanners, but the ship can not become invisible to the physical eye. Once spotted, you are capable of manually aiming at the vessel.
  • Must have a parent ship scouting or range of weapon becomes ineffectual at close range.
  • While the weapon is active, forward propulsion engines are disabled and the ship is in blackout mode. Limited lights and communication chatter, and attitude thrusters and maneuver jets are the only active source of thrust to adjust the weapon.

Crewed by no less than 300 people, this vessel comes from a brainstorm session after producing the long range scanner vessel. Given the development of the H.A.F.S.S Mark VI there came a need to field it. The first thought was to just build a ship around it. The brainstorm team built a number of prototypes, ultimately leading to a very similar design to the stealth recon ship that they had just finished. The entire length of the ship is dedicated to housing the H.A.F.S.S Mark VI, along with the heat sinks that are built around it and the power cores which are vented through the rear of the vessel through the engine vents where baffles are placed to help disperse the signature.

Due to a Report provided upon this ship submission, I will be pulling this to be re-judged.

Currently as it sits, The ship is of Minor production, with the usage of stealth capabilities. Which currently, is one of the technologies whereupon is limited to Semi-unique production.

I am going to provide you with one of three options in which you can change this submission.
  1. Reduce the production to Semi-Unique with full availability of Stealth based features that are currently produced with your vessel
  2. Reduce the production to Limited, and provide weaknesses that the Stealth Capabilities are not 100% foolproof and can be seen, or discovered in usage of weaknesses that can be exploited.
  3. Remove all Stealth related capabilities, and keep the production at Minor.

Changed production to limited, added two weaknesses to the submission.
  • The engine signature of thrusters can be spotted with careful attention to scanners while it is adjusting aim as the engine baffles reduce, but do not completely hide the ion signature.
  • The Alloy Hull and Reflec Coating hide the ship from scanners, but the ship can not become invisible to the physical eye. Once spotted, you are capable of manually aiming at the vessel.
As the production ability of this vessel has changed, does this also require/allow a re-balance of the armament, speed, and defensive capabilities?
