Description

The Low Altitude Assault Transport/Xerius, affectionately referred to as "Latty" by the armed personnel of the Confederacy's military is an exceptional vehicle poised to become the faction's standard, vehicle dropship. Named in honor of the notable, Basilisk commander who served in the original incarnation of the CIS, the LAAT/X was designed by Rothana Heavy Engineering in order to fulfill the role of vehicle transportation. While slow, the vessel was designed to be as durable as possible; for the deliverance of vehicles could spell the difference between a successful or failed military operation. To this end, the hull construction of the LAAT/X mimics that of the capital ships created at Druckenwell Shipyards, consisting of a durable frame and plates composed of Durasteel and Turadium. In addition, the vessel incorporates a deflector shield system standard; thereby adding to the vessel's total defensive capabilities.
