Lost in the Wild(Kathol Outback)

Horus Vizsla parked his ugly freighter unto the landing pad at Kal'Shebbol. He was decked out in a mismatch of a leather duster and occasional plating commonly seen on many a traveling bounty hunter or mercenary, the ones who couldn't afford a proper set of armor. A Power-5 laid was visibly holstered to his hips, a measure of personal protection that helped complete the 'ragged' look he was going for.

His mission was to explore the Kathol Outback, and find the teachers some of Horus's former vod had been rumored to find out here. A mysterious alien race, secluded out here in a place where hyperspace travel was dangerous and slow. Most of the folk around here were the risky sort of traveler who preferred excitement and exploration over safey. Freedom over security. Chaos over order. Horus was not planning on revealing he worked for the Galactic Empire now, as all sorts of trouble could be caused by it. The sort of trouble where he'd want more than just a Power-5 at his belt.

Horus made his way over to the spaceport, hoping to find a map vendor. This planet wasn't difficult to find, it was on the end of Trition Trade Route after all, but the rest of "The Outback?" It wasn't just not knowing what was around the corner, but where all of the corners were. Perhaps he'd find something interesting, some trouble, some connections, or even a map vendor that wouldn't charge him an arm and a leg. Who knew?

"You're charging what?" Horus asked incredulously.

"Do you know what kinda chops it took to map out the Rift mate? It's not like the Core where you can close your eyes, take two swigs of whiskey, spin around and you find a hyperlane that goes past the Mid Rim. Out here it takes a real astrogator to get from one end of the system to another." The shopkeeper pushed.

"I could probably go on the holonet and find a map for half that." Horus protested.

"Yeah, would you trust your life with that kriffing lot? This map's recent, updated within the week. A star pulls in an asteroid too far and your holonet map'll have you colliding with a mass shadow before your sensors know you're dead." The Pantoran map dealer countered.

"Well maybe I'll just skip the map and find the navigator then." Horus blasted, and headed out of the shop. He made his way to some spacer's cantina, The Kathol Drift, and headed to the bar. This seemed the type of place to find a ship's captain who needed hired hands. The map venture would've blown his budget, but maybe he could find somebody here who'd help him get where he needed in return for work.
