Lord Of War

There are over 100 quadrillion sentients in the galaxy, and barely a millionth of them are armed. So the question is; just how many can we arm for profit?

Well there was no shortage of wars as of late. The galaxy was tinder dry and but a spark ignited another bloodbath of needless violence. Needless for most, but Black Sun thrived off the animosity of others. Her manufacturers churning out armaments twenty four seven for the unbiased buyer. What did they care for others strife when a fat profit was to be made. For this matter at hand; it was working more than just the credit wheel. It hurt The Republic, and a weakened state was good for the black market and the subversive goals Rayl wished to undertake.

[member="Darth Vornskr"] was delegating for the One Sith. Not being on the front line crushing his most hated enemy for the day. It was good every once in a while to sit down and take a break though, even if it was just a different form of work. Rayl surveyed the rearguard world in which their meeting took place. Far from the real hot zones but nothing the Sith held was truly out of reach. Best that could be had though, and they couldn't have one of their stars pulled halfway across the galaxy for this when it was easier for Rayl to come for a visit. The world was pleasant as could be, in an atmosphere smelling a bit repressive. Could just be the room though, Rayl didn't like the cut of that Janitors jib as he walked by him. Was probably in here. Smelling it up.

Rayl took a glance back to the table centered to everything about him. Resting on it was two very large cases. Protecting the product he was hoping to sell to the Sith. The first of many he hoped even more. Vornskr would be here soon, time was a luxury he had an abundance of. Returning to the view he waited, hands resting across his chest in a lax manner.

The war was going well, better than he had thought it would have gone, but they were still far from gaining the definite advantage they required. Even so, they had beaten back all of the supposed "galactic powers" that had dared fight back against their just mission for order in the galaxy. The so called defenders of peace and justice had attempted to thwart their holy crusade at every turn, and had been laid low no matter how hard they had tried. That alone was a true sign of their mission's righteousness, and it only spurred the new-found fanaticism that had sprouted within his being after being introduced to the power of the true Dark Lord. The flames of such zeal had been fanned in recent days by the hymns of the prophetess, Isolda, and he had clung onto every word spoken.

But today was not a day for religious thoughts, but a day to further the Sith warmachine that was currently tearing through the Republic like paper. To this end he had arranged a meeting with an old acquaintance of his, [member="Rayl Wilded"] of the Black Sun Syndicate, an organization which had been bedfellows with the Old Empire during it's existence in the Tion Cluster. He sought not only to perhaps rekindle old allegiances, but to also obtain large amounts of new weaponry to use in the ongoing war. Their arranged meeting place was a planet deep within the One Sith's territory which was away from the front lines of battle as any planet in their territory could be.

The Black Sun representative had arrived first, followed shortly by the Sith Lord.

Darth Vornskr wore a thick black tunic with a silver trim, several silver buttons running alongside the fabric, and a pendant of the Panathan Empire fastened to his left breast of his tunic. On both of his hands he wore stylish black leather gloves that rid up to his upper forearms covering the arms of his tunic, and had combat spikes on each knuckle of the glove. A maroon leather belt was fastened tightly across his waist by a silver belt buckle that displayed the crest of his family. His groin, hips, and legs were covered by a pair of dark gray military trousers typical of a military commander of the Old Empire, and was tucked into his pair of shin-high leather combat boots. A black cloak with a scarlet underside was fastened to each shoulder and billowed behind him menacingly.

His hair was as it had always been, long and flowing past his shoulders while his beard and mustache had been left to grow more and more over the course of these past few days, and his eyes twinkled with an unspoken amusement at something yet unknown. He spoke with a harsh, guttural rumble which befitted his intimidating appearance and the nature of his very being;

"Greetings, Lord Wilded. It is a pleasure to once again make your acquaintance."

The voice of a gravel eating force of war called his name and announced his presence. Rayl was swift in his reply but did not yet face him. "Emperor Zambrano. Or should I just call you Darth Vornskr for now". Rayl knew well they both played the name game. Titles and honors, always changing to suit their needs and positions. It was tough to keep track of at times, such was the web of lies spiders spin. "I must congratulate you on your success against The Republic. From scratch Empire building is no easy feat, and by conquest no less". Finally he turned about on his heel to bring himself to bear. He wore a red Terentatek Duster that gave him protection from Force users and kept him styled. Some dark combat pants held up by a Bodo-belt. Rayl didn't much like wearing suits when he didn't have too. Being ready for action was a necessity for the man. Even in this case among mutual friends. "I strongly believe though, thatI can ease some of the hardships your men and supply chains face".

"Do not congratulate me just yet, Lord Wilded. The battles that we have won mean nothing if we cannot arrange ourselves into a position to tighten the noose firmly around the Republic's thick neck, but I do daresay that moment is swiftly approaching." He gestured to the nearby table, inviting the Black Sun representative to take a seat, and with a snap of his fingers a solitary servant shuffled in through the doorway that he had previously entered from carrying various forms of refreshments. "Take what you desire, Wilded. It would be unbecoming of me if I did not host my respect guest the hospitality of an Emperor." He chuckled deeply before he accepted a goblet in the shape of a skull from his meager servant, and took a sip of the rich dark wine within.

"But we did not come here to idly chat and drink, we came here to discuss business, and I assume that you want to get right to the point as quickly as possible, no?"

As distracted his attention had become over the refreshments; Rayl couldn't help but notice the cup Vornskr took off the platter. A human skull fitted with some finery and a base. Also with the holes closed off with some sort of black material. Reminded him all to well he was working with the bad guys again. Business was business though, and such he wished to find a deal settled today. "Thank you. Your hospitality is appreciated". Rayl picked off a nice whiskey and had the servant make up a glass. "The gossip I'm fine with. If I'm to know the who's and whats of others why not hear it from them themselves. Perhaps latter though; you're right. For now, business". A quick sip of the still luke whiskey to quench his throat did a wonder. Rayl set down his drink and got to opening the first of the cases. Containing the power pack of the weapon. In the mean time, he hoped Vornskr would send the unwelcome eyes away before he got to the other case. Changing his gaze between the two in hopes the signal would be received. He didn't wish for the news to be known for as long as possible of his dealings. If at all.

Vornskr smiled, and glanced at his hunched servant, and with a indifferent wave of his left hand he dismissed his servant. Said servant would bow low before Vornskr, before scurrying off out of the door leading to the meeting room. His tall stature allowed Vornskr to peek down into the recently opened case, his eyes caressing the power pack of the weapon that undoubtedly was hidden away within the second case. "I am simply giddy with anticipation, Wilded. You certainly know how to flame the fires of my curiosity, but do not hold out on me, my friend. My eyes hunger to gaze upon what you have brought for me today, and my heart is about to explode with barely restrained excitement on what it is capable of doing." Both of Vornskr's hands were clasped together now, both of his thumbs caressing one another as he waited patiently.

"Let's have it then."

"Well you may wish to take a seat so you may stand up again". Rayl finished opening the case for the powerpack. Spinning it around he slid it forward towards Vornskr to have a better look. This wasn't the piece he'd be so interested in; since it was just the power supply. The weapon was still hidden away securely in its case. "That is the power pack to the gun. It requires a large amount of energy to have the... capacity and firepower. Something you'll find handy". A seven digit code punched in deactivated the locking mechanism of the case. Several clips came undone automatically and the hiss of pressurized air escaping from the seal. "May I introduce to you, the Hellgun S-151-A Heavy Chain-Blaster". Rayl hefted up the heavy chain blaster barrel end to the sky. "A gun made to overwhelm and kill Jedi. And just about anything else in its way". A serious look held, no grinning smile because he was serious about the deadliness of this tech. A thud rang as he set the Hellgun down on the table before Vornskr to inspect for himself. Now to await comments.

He went over the weapon's name in his head.

The S-151-A "Hellgun" Heavy Chain-Blaster.

Ohmy.

Vornskr couldn't help himself, and his mouth split into a wide, almost ridiculous, grin as his eyes took in the incredible pleasing weapon that Rayl had revealed to him. Despite his obvious excitement about the weapon, he restrained himself and merely rose from his chair in order to further inspect the weapon. Both of his hands slowly moved towards the weapon, and with the care of a man who had worked with weapons his entire life, he lifted the mighty piece of technology up from the table and held it as any soldier would hold it when using it. "It is a work of art, truly, Lord Wilded. In all of my life I have never wielded a weapon quite like this one, and I am pleased that this is the weapon you have chosen to show me." After inspecting it for a few more moments, he gently laid the weapon back down where it was previously.

"Tell me more about this weapon, I want to know all of the specifications."

[member="Darth Vornskr"]

"Well now, specs, specs. Yes technical information is important. I'll give you the actual manufacturers specs but ay as well list some of them off as you wan. Probably favorite thing about this weapon is its rate of fire. Which is seven hundred shots a second. So that about". Rayl paused and did some quick head math to figure out the actual seconds. "About eleven point six shots per second. So this is most likely the fastest firing blaster anywhere in the galaxy". While the nightmare it'd be to prove it really was, given the shear size of the galaxy. They were confident enough just to say so. Rayl pulled up the power pack to continue on with the Darth's request for information. "This power pack at a full charge can hold twenty one thousand two hundred and seven rounds at full charge. Which would be thirty minutes of firing time. A detriment I should note is you can only shoot at a maximum constant of three minutes at a time. Overheating becomes an issue and may well warp the barrel. But thirty minutes will last a soldier a few days in normal combat, if he's not trigger happy". The power pack was set down again to rest.

"And The last big thing is it comes in two models. A and B. The A model you currently hold is for handheld firing. Effective range three hundred fifty meters. Model B is a tripod stand variant with more advanced gun sights. The stability increases effective range to seven hundred meters. A doubling. All quite impressive. Those are really the key features. I don't want to bore you with weights and cleaning procedures now. Quite mundane the rest of it, which I can simply provide a document of. So is there any questions you may with to inquest more into"?

"It is quite the weapon, Lord Wilded."

He clasped his hands in front of him as he regarded Rayl with a smirk, but the one was unlike so many forced smiles he has put upon his face over the course of his existence. This smile was genuine, and it was ugly. It was the smile of a murderer, a butcher that held no regard for any life but his own, and a sociopath that possessed great intellect and the power and authority to do many great, terrible things. This new weapon on the table would allow him to commit even more terrible things, and perhaps Rayl knew that well, but would he still be willing to benefit from the potential slaughter unleashed by this weapon's destructive firepower? Vornskr believed that he would, he was quite aware of the Black Sun's stance when it came to the Republic, and he didn't imagine that Rayl would object to the murder of those that had wronged him and his people.

However; Vornskr was known to be wrong on occasion.

"No more questions about the weapon, I have quite the grasp on it now. We should move onto our next topic of discussion, which is of course the sale and distribution of this weapon from the Black Sun to the Empire, and decide on your payment, of course."

"I'm pleased as you are Emperor Vornskr. A weapon to be deadly as yourself. Or one that can near your level". Rayl clapped his hands together. Rubbing them in a continuation of enjoyment. The conversation moved towards its much hoped for concluding scene. The sale. Vornskr was pleased as punch. So hopefully it was just the details and the convincing was over.

"Excellent then. Well its simply for sale how many you want. Which we can then gauge capacity of our factories to fit the need. Distribution is by far the largest issue. With the Omega Protectorate and Mandalorian's flanking either side. And taking into consideration traveling around takes weeks. Smuggling is the only option. or perhaps I could convince Danger of SSBB to haul these goods for you. Logistics would be her problem and you'd only need fit the bill. I'll explore what will be quickest, cheapest and above all the safest route to take and we can then figure out the route we wish to take". All options had their pros and cons. Careful consideration and debate was a must. To be rash would only hurt the Suns, and that was to be avoided.

"Payment as always can be in credit or precious metals. And done through the IGBC. They're very discrete for our care. So lets get to these details then". Producing a datapad for this information from within his coat; he was ready to take down what Vornskr wanted for quantity and payment option. Along with anything else he may wish to have discussed at a latter date.

"I believe that credits would be adequate for now, unless I find something extra down the line I think you would enjoy having."

The Sith Lord returned to sitting in the chair he had previously vacated to further inspect the weapon, and reclined back in a relaxed manner as he raised one leg above the other and let it rest upon his knee. Now came the part where Vornskr had to think about how much he wanted initially, he wasn't willing to buy a large quantity to arm the entirety of the Empire's soldiers just yet. No, he would require a field test first, and he knew just the elite soldiers strong and vicious enough to wield such a weapon into battle. "For now, I will require at least a hundred thousand of these weapons for use by my personal Blackblade Guard. I only require that much now because I believe that if I should pay more money to buy them for the entire Empire, I should see how they work on the battlefield. So a hundred thousand will do fine, yes? Of course, how much will it cost me, Lord Wilded?"

"I only wish I could do multiplication of that scale in my head. Give me a moment and I'll get you an estimate". Rayl loosed a small handheld from his pocket and punched in his calculations. And easy task for the device itself. The number was a grand one. Steep but a hundred thousand weapons of this type were not cheap. Much like buying a set of tools you can go cheap and get something that will be passable. Of you can spend a lot more for something that will last you a lifetime. "I'll give you a ten percent discount to. In hopes of future business". Rayl stepped over to the Sith Lord. Holding the computer up with two hands for him to preview the price. Seeing the number in its rawness was always necessary in his negotiations.

Vornskr took in the steep price for the weaponry with a wry smile and a whistle of awe, however; he was not phased by the position of the decimal or how many zeros were present on the device. He, and the gracious treasury of the new Empire would pay handsomely for such equipment with plenty left to spare. "The price is of no concern, just know that we are willing to pay whatever it takes to gain an advantage over those Republic swines. You understand our sentiment, no? I faintly remember when the Republic barged in on Nar Shadda and unlawfully took it for their own. Rest assured that the One Sith will help you reclaim your capital after we have crippled them in the core."

"Well, very good then, lets get this contract signed and done with. I'll have the order filled and the first shipment on its way from existing stock. All under careful concealment of course". Rayl pocketed he device. Pleased the Sith Lord and him could do business once more. "And the day they fall I'll raise my glass in a toast. The liberation of Nar Shaddaa I'll throw you a party the likes of which even Zeltros has never seen. When I have Selena Halcyon's head mounted on a pike... I'll have to think of something quite grand for that day". From his belt he produced a data stick for Vornskr. It contained the details of the contract for him to sign and send in. Along with the payment methods listed and transaction numbers. Once all this was filled out by his people the guns would flow. "This is everything you need to square the deal".
