Rapora Demarchy is a small government overseeing the local species of Claydoish on the planet Little Capella. After thousands upon thousands of years, the ruling Council has finally decided to come out of hiding, even in the aftermath of their first encounter with outside sentients. Due to the lingering and rare encounters with newer, kinder species, they've decided... maybe not all people are that bad. But, do take into account, the rules they have made were to protect their people and their families! While the Rapora Demarchy isn't entirely loved anymore (very few members have left due to their long lifespans), what happened before was devastating to the species, excluding the damage to their faith, families, and life.
After years of slow research and adaptation, the Claydoish have lost their own customs and have assimilated to the cultures and beliefs of the rest of the galaxy, albeit in fewer and/or more ancient forms of such. We all speak Basic now, we have created an economy, although the Council wishes for us all to unite together and defend each other, the cultures we have inherited have made many of us seek greed and power, especially with the Sith influences. But after so long of being cooped up, the more benevolent individuals have gained seats on the council, and are looking for a better, brighter future.
The Rapora Demarchy have funded and researched the necessary technology to bring the Claydoish.... to space! With their first, custom, hyperdrive-capable ship, they wish to set out a mission to explore the galaxy.... and see just how livable it is, and how much they can truly expose themselves. This mission has no set result. This means the Rapora Demarchy could decide to abandon the mission, they could decide they must go to war, and even join a major faction. The crew could be influenced by power, and try to take command of the ship. They could influence others, act as a spy, or simply carry out their mission as ordered. Very few of the crew is militaristic, however there is a contingent of the best fighters onboard the ship, to ensure the safety and security of important information, and the protection of the Captain and Crew. But the importance of all these items have been laid out, respectively.
Will you help the species of the Claydoish reach into the galaxy, and help them out of their lonely caves? Will you help the Rapora Demarchy establish a foothold in their system? Perhaps you'll work to your own wants and needs and take this ship and sate your lust for power and greed. Or will you be selfish, and sell out your crewmates to the enemy, in hopes you'll gain favor and freedom, and money?
Will you be a faction that seeks to destroy the Bakunawa, or find the Claydoish' homeworld and enslave them? Or will you influence their government to support your own? Perhaps you are one of the benevolent factions, and hope to bring them up out of their holes, into the galaxy, and maybe even support them technologically?
The Bakunawa's mission is to explore new worlds, seek out new life and civilizations, to establish contact with them and their governments, and hopefully not become enslaved once again. To join this crew, you must create a Claydoish character. It won't be hard, either. While understanding your newfound species-specific advantages and disadvantages, their behavior has been assimilated to be more human-like, like coruscanti, or kuati. Some have rare and random beliefs, some seek power and greed. However, in the deep core of the CLaydoish species is the kind benevolence that always seeks curiosity and caring. You can choose not to lay eggs, but if you do, it will be an innate instinct to protect them, just as you may find a significant other, you may seek to protect them.
If you do not wish to sign up as a Claydoish crew member, we are seeking Factions to communicate with! Of course, we know we are in the Sith Empires cloud of influence, however the power and scans of the Bakunawa are nothing more than an old, armed satellite. If anything is familiar to anyones scans, old holonet databases may pick up on ancient sith technology, as the Claydoish have taken the technology and adapted it to a form they understand. You may even see part of an insignia of the old Sith Empire if it wasn't taken off. But for the most part, the outer hull has been wiped clean of pain and insignia, except for additions of the Rapora Demarchy symbols.
We seek Claydoish Crew Members, and interaction with any Factions. Will you be a part of our first voyage?

So in terms of crew, I was hoping for at least a minimum of 3 crewman, but 5 would be very fun. I am basing these crew positions off of the NX-01 Bridge positions.
