PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • The Onager Class comes fully equipped with the whole standard array of shields, systems and components that are normally associated with vessels of this size and class.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Strong defenses - Like all Ashlan vessels, survivability is built in, coupled with the long effective operating range and the Onager is a difficult target to shift
  • Extremely destructive primary weapons - the Onager class features 8 AM meteor particle cannons, previously only seen on the much larger templar. These are massively powerful weapons capable of causing significant damage to even large targets
WEAKNESSES
  • Poor firing angles - will the main batteries recessed in defensive positions, trying to get all guns firing can be a challenge. In most situations only one broadside of 4 cannons will be firing at a time.
  • Exposed rear section - like many wedge shaped star destroyers the Templar had a focus on forward firepower leaving it undergunned in its rear arc.
DESCRIPTION
After their joint 'noble crusader' project with Kuat drive yards archangel have developed the technical expertise to build their own, albeit smaller, capital ship.

The Templar class is a culmination of the best designers from many departments in Archangel coming together to build a very powerful ship. Archangel do not have the facilities to put this vessel into mass production so are entering into small scale contracts with selected navies, along with keeping several for their own people.
