Long Forgotten

The CIS has always been vast.
It's hunger for technological superiority showed. Research complexes littered CIS space. Some were publicly known, others kept a dark secret. And then there were those which became outdated, forgotten, and finally lost to time. They exist somewhere, old, decrepit, their secrets lost forever...
Or until something goes wrong.

A signal disturbed the silence on an encrypted CIS Frequency. Nothing but gibberish, it was ignored.
Another signal. Ignored once more. Communications malunfunction?
And another. Something was up. But what?
The signal repeated again and again, and soon it was apparent.
The signal was encrypted using CIS codes dating back all the way to the Clone Wars Era. An archaelogical find, and a fine one as well.
Although decyphering the message was now impossible, a set of coordinates was found within the broadcast. Where will they lead to?

Perhaps you can find out...

Will it be riches?

Or will it be the grave?

Normally a Rook would probably not be the Ministry's first choice as a field agent in these cases, but as a mercenary fighter pilot it would be easy to explain paying someone to investigate a strange signal. Nyx's ship could even carry three additional sentients to location should any be selected by the Confederacy. The Scythe fighter's speed and maneuverability should keep it a step ahead of any hostile vessels should it turn out to be a trap as well.

Nyx stood in the hanger where her heavy fighter was stationed between missions. A public CIS hanger so anyone could approach and board without question. The droid already filed a flight plan for a relatively nearby region of space with a made up excuse. Unlike her organic compatriots, Nyx had no problem with filling out little fields and making up excuses. Though at times she did agree it was 'boring' -- too repetitive at times with little creative flare needed.

It was not yet time to depart, which provided others a chance to join her if they did not have or want to use their own vessels. In that time, Nyx walked around the outside of the vessel performing an inspection and ensuring her ship was restocked with the essentials.
